I don’t usually comment on TH-cam, but I feel compelled to do it anyway. I like your style. It’s very easy to follow your presentations, which I find rare on TH-cam or any place else. I’m never easily impressed, but I’m impressed with your channel. Thank you for your hard work.
I watch A LOT of TH-cam woodworking channels and I can honestly say, the quality and content of your videos is on par with any of them, which is shocking considering you just launched. Your channel is going to grow like wildfire. Great job!
I very much like your videos. Your new camera equipment is working perfectly. The video was very good and your audio was excellent for an old guys hearing capability. Keep up the good work.
I’ve seen many videos that claim various things regarding tools under a certain amount and how useful they are sometimes they’re useful sometimes not . This video was extremely useful ! for someone who is always in the shop looking for better solutions this was great . I ended up buying several of the tools suggested . Thank You!
Thanks! I’m actually really upset with myself. I refilmed part of that and forgot to put back in the video that I use the spring to quickly remove hinge pins. I even had a funny clip where I did it in the hinge pin flies across the room accidentally 😂
Your channel is growing REAL fast. I found you just a few days ago and you had just over 200 subs. Currently you have almost 900. Congrats! Well deserved. You have a great looking shop, good quality videos, and look super comfortable in front of the camera. Well done...well done indeed 😁
Thanks so much weekend wood shop I appreciate that from another creator, I just went and subscribe to your channel as well. Looking forward to seeing all the cool things you do!
@@BitnerBuilt Thanks for subscribing! I've got a couple videos in the works that I hope to have out soon. Full time job + part time content creator = zero actual time 😬
I can tell you thought this video and list through, holding off the bit holder reveal to the end was a nice touch after having it in frame at the start. Subscribed!
My best $20 tools is a cheat. The Bauer 5" orbital corded sander is $40, but on sale for $19.99 regularly. Right now, actually. I have two of them. I've had the first for almost 2 years with no issues.
You know Rex I picked up one of those for 20 as well! I specifically use it for spraying WD-40 on my cast-iron tools and using that too remove any rust, since it gets saturated with WD-40, I dedicated it for that use only. It’s definitely an amazing pick up for 20 bucks.
ill think about it, maybe throw it in a compilation video. honestly I think its decent but not phenomenal, there are lots of things I would change. I was looking the other day at custom made ones on Etsy so I could put my logo and go more minimal with just the pockets I want where I want them.
Great reviews! I’m planning on picking up at least 5 of those you mentioned!! Thanks for making your videos and good luck with the channel, subscribed!!
Pretty good list. I have a scoring knife (BigHorn), nail set (awesome), right angle (Same), picks (HF), and nut checker (board, not cable). I vouch for all of them. Very useful tools. I've never seen sanding twigs before, and I like the tweezers set. I'll pick up both. Digging your content. Subscribed.
Can I just point out the irony of #1? Cheap tools useful tools being the premise, an expensive (relative to the cost of pencil) marking knife that you use only on expensive woods/materials lol
@@BitnerBuilt yea for sure I wasn’t trying to troll just made me chuckle a little. I’ve yet to get a marking knife or gauge bc I’m lazy and the price is at that annoying level. I have no problem buying expensive power tools but for some reason those little things like that bug me. Same reason I haven’t bought a trim router lol
Awesome list!! Really tempted with the bitfix, but how did you mount at the head of the drill and not at the base by the battery? Or is that just a milkwaukee design? (I have dewalt)
Yea each tool brand has different mounting spots just looked at my Dewalt impacts, yeah, they melt low but it’ll still work on theirs, love those things!
Great content! Looking forward to seeing your channel grow and learning from you. One request if I may: if you start doing tool reviews (as many woodworkers on here do), please be clear with your viewers on whether you paid for the product yourself or got it for free from the company. So many content creators aren't upfront about this, and it matters.
Thanks so much Turk, so the cool thing with my toy review videos is my current sponsor saftysourcesupply.com is a retail store not a manufacture so all the tools that they provide me come with zero caveat’s or expectations and doesn’t impact my review at all. as a fun little secret, I’m working right now on a video where I give a Milwaukee tool, a absolute, horrible junk rating and say do not buy it 😅 and I’m a Milwaukee fan. So you only get honest Reviews out of me 👍
They sell out and then will come back. It’s a European company and he ships them to Amazon in the USA in batches so on the page select tell me when they are back in stock. They are worth it!
I read a reader tip recommending that you ask your dentist for old picks. Dentists like most members of the tool community save picks that are broken on one end or have reached the end of their useful life. My dentist gave me a box full of old picks. A little bit of filing and the picks were rejuvenated for shop work. Total cost $0.00. If your dentist doesn't have a stash, ask them to save old picks for you. One other item, in the collection, were some crazy-shaped ones.
Hey great videos Just getting back into woodworking I wanna refurbish my cabinets have some damage from sink water dripping down. You mentioned you used the CNC for your cabinet door cuts, did I hear that right the door in the video has a curve I can’t figure how to match did your cnc cut it. The wide part which is beveled in both shown in the tiny sanding tool. Could you tell me how to made the cut. Thanks Great content good luck with your channel
So I’m a big believer that every brand has winners and losers so I’m a proponent of running 2 tool brands, one pricey and one cheaper for your less used items. If I had to pick I’d say Milwaukee is my overall fav
No stupid questions man, short answer is it’s good for hardwood, a utility doesn’t mark it well, and it can do curves much better than a utility. the full answer would be a bit long here so here’s an article that articulates it www.woodworkhubby.com/marking-knife-vs-utility-knife/
On you right angle 1/4" drive keep oil in the gears, if you don't they wear out or break. I used whats called a skew driver In car audio for years before the home centers had anything like it. I must have bought 10 sets of them over the years. Everyone always asked me where did you get that?? They get hot the gears need oil And it needs it often they dry out pretty fast if you use it a lot. They kinda need a grease zert.

And the stuff I did know about, but never pulled the trigger on, I am more interested in getting them because of your review and you've done the "which one should I get" part for me! Thanks!
Nice job reviewing each piece. Also, showing how they work, sometimes it is tough to see the small stuff. You also had many good cutaways of the demos.

Thanks trying to not do the usual stuff!
Stumpy Nubs, James Hamilton quality review. I really hope you succeed.
Thanks!
The Nut and Bolt Checker is one of my favorites also. Great Video!
Thanks bob! I just cut it into two pieces to make it fit easier in a drawer, cable was way too long!
This is the best "Tool Time" video I've seen (and there's a bunch of them out there). Thanks for the tips young man.
Wow, thanks!
I just found this video and thought you had at least 100k subscribers. Totally shocked. I’m certain you’ll explode
Oh wow! awesome praise Erik. Thanks so much. I hope so!
This is the best list like this I've seen in a long time. I got at least two gotta-haves out of this. Thank you.
Awesome thank you so much for that!
Unique finds
Thanks tried to no do the same old stuff
Practical and fresh content. Best of luck.
Thanks so much Faisal!
Instead of glubot I started using restaurant condiment plastic bottles for glue. It works great for us.
Great tip!
1000% agree with the spring nail sets. I have several and a set of spring pin punches as well (great for door hinge pins).

Sure sure but getting a line 1/3rd the width of that pencil can be imperative for precise woodworking.

Can the spring punch be used on metal?
Actually it can and leaves a decent indent on steel. I just tried it on a standard door hinge. Ps also a great way to knock out door hinge pins!
i guess i must be the most non IT person there is----no can find (info on apron)
