Not sure if this will help anyone now, but I'm playing through the remaster on Switch. This method worked, except I needed to interact with the draw point 1 less time each. 2 times for the first rule, 10 times for the second rule

somehow I bungled something bad, I am following the instructions to the tee but I cant abolish either sudden death or elemental no matter how many times I try.
Dude you're a life saver, loving the videos! I'm on my 2nd play through and am floating on the sea in the garden (just before FH crash). I went to the canteen to play TT so I can unlock the CC Group and it asked to mix Galbadia's Same rule. Can this be reversed before FH? Wanted to do the CC quest before but happy to wait until after if easier. Thanks bro!
Is it too late to abolish these rules here if I've already finished the fisherman horizon part of the game? I already got Quezacotl, Irvine, and Ifrit cards from everyone here so unless there's more later then should I just not worry about the ruleset in FH?
did you completely restart your game to reset the RNG? is your queen in FH? did you do litarally anything i didnt do in the video? did you do everything exactly the same as i do?
Just out of curiosity why isn’t there one of these for all the regions? Following this is perfectly accurate considering the original was much easier compared to the remaster just wish was more guides to the other regions like centra or Esthar
I couldn't abolish sudden death with mine after trying this method of abolishing elemental rule. I did the Ultima draw point, which was already drawn prior to me, abolishing the elemental rule. So, I did that 3 times(nothing there), and quit the game then started with it again to reset the RNG thingy. I tried to draw to the same point(nothing there) 11 times just like you did in the video, and when I pressed square to the mayor, he just sked me if I wanna play cards, he didn't have a long line just like the one in this video, and then I pressed yes, after that, I quit the card game. On that part, I didn't see the sudden death rule getting abolished. Did I do something wrong there?
I was successfully abolished Elemental but after that I tried abolishing sudden death and it's not working for me, it just spread open. I am carrying Timber's rule, open and same. What should I do? Thanks :)
My issue with Fisherman's horizon is sudden death, plus and elemental are already a part of their card rules. Open is already available. I had to lose my ifrit card to caraway in deling city. Now, i am trying to win it back in FH, and I can't abolish the plus and sudden death rules😢. Also, i am on disc 2
This doesn't work. I've hard reset a million times and did exactly what you did but after interacting with the draw point and challenging the mayor and quitting out does nothing.
I just finished all my extra stuff in galbadia (before giving the student id number). Apparently you can change FH’s rules before you get there. For the life of me though I can’t find how you do it. Every video I can find on changing rules the rules there requires you to have a mobile Balamb or the Ragnarok. I just know it has something to do with the lady in green across from the hotel.
how do you choose where the QoC goes? she has still not gone to dollet n has bounced back and forth from winhill and fishmans horizon.... I need to ask about her father to progress in the rare cards. PLEASE HELP!
@primalliquid I accidentally introduced the Element and Open Card Rule in Timber. In F. H. I was able to get rid of the Suddendeath rule, but the other one does not work. Can you help me with this? Help! I accidently spread plus in FH, I was able to abolish Elemental like you said, but Sudden Death took some experimenting with rng. Now I can't get plus to go away! I keep spreading same or abolishing open.
Firstly, i have videos for each area on the channel, secondly Random is not normally in FH, if you spread it there then thats on you and its a pain to remove now.

you cant do the "old" methods because they rely on soft resets and we cant do that on the remaster "Exit" in the menu functions as a hard reset afterall

So I managed to get elemental abolished but going back to timber, the guard just asks if I want to play cards, without asking to mix the rules. Ahhh this is so hard to do. I want to get the open feature spread throughout the region (I’m trying to get random abolished from Dollet) ....how do I do that?
go to shumi villege, save in the hotel - exit to reset RNG - load back in - go outside the hotel- play shumi outside the hotel - decline 4 challenges - play the 5th match. Random is now abolished (you must have open already spread here)

Take the rules again in Timber one withe same and open, now the PLUS rule i went to Trabia Garden save, quit and reload i go left and down to the fountain and inspectthe draw point 19 times and played the persona sitting in the fountain mix rules and quit. P.S. i tried this 3 times same result PLUS abolish can you check thanks

When it comes to RNG manipulation there is no "if's ands or buts" if its not working for you then it means you did a step wrong. manipulations will ALWAYS work when done correctly, your forcing the game to work the way its programmed after all. Now, some reasons why it might not have worked for you. 1. did you completely close the game before hand to reset your RNG counter? 2. is the queen of cards at FH? her presense alters the values for rule changes. 3. did you do LITARALLY anything not in the video? speak to a person? open the menu? use an item? ect because they will ALL advance the counter forward. 4. did you count the correct amount of uses on the draw point?

Reloaded the save, spread open, got sudden death abolished but now I can't get elemental to go away. @@Primalliquid92 Yeah I'm not sure why it wasn't working. I did end up getting it to work by, abolishing elemental, then spreading open with Balambs rules, grabbed Timbers came back reset and abolished sudden death.
then im sorry to say you're doing something wrong, this method has been used for the past 10+ years and it works on all versions of the game. but without more info i cant tell you what your doing wrong.

I later came back with Galbadia rules (Open, Same), saved at the save point near Regen draw point, exited game and loaded save. Went to the mayor and drew three times then agreed to mix rules. Quit game and abolished elemental like in the video. I then went to timber and declined to mix rules with the left guard until he stopped asking, then acquired Galbadia rules (Open, Same). Returned to the save point in FH, saved, then exited game. Reloaded save, went to mayor's house, drew 11 times, agreed to mix rules with Mayor and poof, open abolished. No matter how many times I tried, always abolished open. I took an idea from another comment in a different video, and i declined to mix rules with the mayor until he stopped asking, acquired FH rules (Open, SuddenDeath), went to Timber and declined to mix rules with the left guard and got Galbadia rules again (Open, Same), went back to FH and saved, exited and reloaded. Then after drawing eleven times, playing the mayor abolished sudden death. The same thing happened to me in Trabia, after abolishing the first rule and reacquiring an open+same ruleset, I had to decline mixing in trabia, reacquire open+same and then use your method. QoC was in Balamb, btw.

For some reason I just can't figure it so I thought if I came here with enough information someone might be able to give me tailor made advice as I have mixed all the rules badly. I have got Ragnarok and haven't yet done time dilation. Here is the absolute mess of rules I have: Balamb Open, Sudden Death, Random, Plus, Elemental (Diff) Dollet Open, Random, Plus, Elemental (One) Centra Open, Random, Plus, Elemental (One) Timber/Galbadia Open, Random, Elemental (One) Trabia Open, Sudden Death, Plus (One) Esthar Random, Elemental (One) FH Open, Sudden Death, Random, Plus, Elemental (One) Deiling City Open, Random, Elemental (One) Ideally I would like random gone everywhere, but especially Balamb, Dolley and Esthar. Mainly for Card Queen Side Quest and picking up some rare cards without relying on the CC group on Ragnarok. This is now a matter of pride and don't want this game to beat me. Sorry for the essay, but any help what so ever to help my monkey brain work this out would be beyond legendary. Big fan, thank you for all of the content! yes give timber "Open" (you want open everywhere) and yes your rule degraded its fine though all cards now are gonna be won in singles anyway

"always" hm? Guess that explains why I've done this 10 times and still nothing has worked as stated

There are rules in place which stop me from confirming or denying my mysterious magical abilities
