I knew we could not edit player names in dynasty mode and recruits...but teambuilder??? really? Im being restricted from creating my own players inside teambuilder?? this is bullshit. also who should buy this game? My personal opinion...if you're an RTG player or a player where customization is hyper important to you. This is an easy pass. RTG does nothing different and sometimes less than previous iterations. Teambuilder.....the no editing player names bugs me a lot. gameplay is fun and so is Dynasty. so if you just want to play online or pick ups against the CPU and you're cool with dynasty mode than you'll like it
If you play dynasty and have it set to allow editing you can edit the names of the players in TeamBuilder. I’m pretty sure it only allows you to edit the names of players on TeamBuilder teams at this point. So yes you can’t on the website itself, but once you download them in game and start up dynasty you can go and edit them and change to whatever you want for the most part.
I’m going to be honest, gameplay wise I’m still trying to figure out where to put sliders to make it more realistic. My first game BOTH teams had 100+ points with 15 min quarters. Next game felt like I was getting my face smashed on the concrete

Honest and fair review, one problem with new games like this is you can never give fair criticism without people deeming you a hater. Pretending like it's perfect will never help the game progress, I get it's new and it's been a long time but we have to be honest if there's noticeable problems. I love the small details in games it adds to immersion and gives the game life, so i do wish the presentation was better. Its like playing the super bowl on madden, it just never had that importance to it like the real game lol. At least give the crowd more life or something.

EA knew they had our money from the day they announced this and boy they bent us over . Their biggest mistake was that 10 hour trial. So glad I used that . This was so disappointing in my opinion that I canceled my preorder.

When it comes to the commentary they rarely say the players last name. The stadium announcer says the number of the player on the play. If you have licensing from the players themselves & are not announcing their names then it is completely pointless! SAME EA CRAP EVERY YEAR!!! WE HAVE WAITED 10 YEARS FOR THIS??? EXTREMELY SAD!!!
Yea hearing player names is a HUGE part of any kind of sports commentary. I was excited for this one, thinking it would be more immersive. Really not even worth keeping the commentary on after a few games here. Very disappointed.

As Kent State I've only heard them call my players by name, my QB was Tommy Ulatowski, they actually called him Ulatowski. And my star Running Back was Gavin Garcia. Each time he got the ball Reece would say "now Garcia has it."
Yeah I noticed with pursuit angle when I threw an interception it was almost like a automatic pick six and all my players had great. Angle, but wound up chasing the defender from behind lol

They should have giving us the option to use our own music for stadium sounds like they did in NCAA '09. Back in that game you could have music for every first down, every turnover, ever touchdown, and before every kickoff after you score as the home team.

It’s a hype job. No mascot mode, no weather changes during a live game, and there’s a handful of stuff that should be patched already lol. Honestly, the older NCAA’s were better. CFB is an upgraded version of Madden with bells and whistles. It’s a filler game. People will get bored of it within 3 months from now.
Not to mention you can’t create a player or recruit in dynasty mode. You also can’t just play H2H ranked game. You have to play with what playbook they want you to play with and only 3 minute quarters

I purposely waited until all the reviews came out before I spent $70 on this EA trash. I am glad I had restraint, because now that I know what all of the cons are I am not going to buy this at all.

It's actually a downgrade from ncaa 14. Everything feels so shallow in this game. EA only cares about Ultimate Team, they don't give a shit about dynasty sadly.
It’s so much harder to set defense In this game unlike in Madden, the O line non existent , coaching adjustments do not matter( for example I went against a guy who was spamming speed options and every time he pitched it off to the RB so I made the adjustment to forget about the QB and yet for the remainder of the game the QB was the focus of the options. Still won tho) the passing is just…. Ass tbh on all 4 of the different settings. Went 8-2 my first season online won’t play anymore online till a MASSIVE patch. And the tackling in this game is pathetic
Copy and paste madden if your a online player the good everybody talking about is RTG and dynasty modes and trust if they’re having fun then it’s probably that guy you was playing outside runs/screens and same passing crossers and corners animations are clunky I play better on heisman but they don’t have that option for online play smh

Most Madden franchise guys will find all that dynasty depth tedious and either put recruiting on auto. Or go back to Madden. No practice mode in dynasty is enough for me to stay away Correction: there is practice mode in franchise. I played it myself in the last 2 trial hours 👏👏
Part of what made Road to glory so good growing up was you had your dorm room and as you would progress even your girlfriends picture on the wall would get more beautiful lol then as you would import it into madden you would start out in an apartment and progress to a mansion. They need that stuff back that’s the stuff we loved
I just watched two guys playing live. 50 yards pass completion, 60, 70, 80 yards😂😂😂 It looked ridiculous. 14 seconds left in the game and QB completes 75 yards pass to win the game and the guy selected deep 3 pass cover. NO COVERAGE! Sad EA, sad!

Auburn actually retired their bald eagle a couple of years ago. The bird they have now looks just like you showed in the one you showed in the game. That said, I'm curious if they ever fixed the carrier dome. For years above the endzone where it said Syracuse University, university was spelled wrong.🤣
I had to look it up it's not a hawk, it's a Golden Eagle. Pretty sweet! I saw an Auburn fan say they even got the handler right. I looked up a photo of Auburns Eagle it's name is, Aurea, or War Eagle VIII. The games version looks pretty good to me! @@WildLionGames
Not tryna defend EA but tackling in college is definitely weaker than in NFL, that’s one of the reasons why there’s more big plays in college and they did fix it (or at least claim to) in a recent update couple days ago

Every time I play a team ranked 70 overall. I’m Indiana and they either give me all kinds of problems or I lose. And they are getting injured all over the place. How can they possibly compete at my stadium. Just one grip, the game is still very good and fun. Just little things like you said.
Man I’m a gopher fan but am a diehard Michigan fan. I also recreated the pac 12 cause I hate that it doesn’t exist anymore. I’m freaking struggling against Nevada. In 14 you could develop your team and if you get a defensive scheme down can hold your own against teams like Ohio state in the early seasons. This game is basically just an offense simulator. No matter how much you adjust defense is pointless and I’m a defense oriented person. It’s pretty damn infuriating.
When you’ve had as much time as they’ve had to get this game ready, it’s disappointing when they miss the little things. Not having standings or in game updates feels like a missed opportunity.
It’s super buggy too, you either get the glitch where you get like 100 skill points after one practice, or it’s the complete opposite where the skill points don’t work unless you get them through training. So either way you get no sense of progression, plus the subbing Ai is just awful.
dynasty too. the sim logic is awful, stats are screwed up, and the recruits arent balanced. first qb i scouted was a 3 star with 96 throw power, 95 speed, 95 acceleration.

the graphics and presentation for this game are beautiful, but unfortunately, the gameplay is the same madden frostbite engine with people falling over each other in gang tackles like woody on toy story,still has unrealistic 5 yard juke/spin moves, players are still clipping through bodies, offensive lineman are still confused on who to block lol and everyone is still running on air with no signature animations so everyone literally runs exactly the same outside of lineman😩😩 easports=🗑🗑 🤣
What game have you been playing? This is NOTHING like madden gameplay wise, and then again it’s football not much variations of football irl, but no this game feels totally different than any madden that’s came out within the last 10 years

I’ve got picked on this too… I’ve noticed anticipating the route is the way to go there 90% of the time. In madden you could let the receiver get to his spot and THEN bullet pass with success.

I’ve played ncaa 14 and the new game. I still like 14 better, it’s strange that the new game has even more zombie looking fans, refs, cheerleaders, and players. Announcers sound like they took a whole bottle of melatonin and still way too laggy for what it’s hyped up to be.
Its weird the fans that are "shouting" look like blow up dolls. Who shouts without any body movement at all, and just opens their mouth wide like that?
Respect on the honest review. I purchased a Series S specifically for this game. I'll finally be able to play tomorrow after it's official reelase. The foundation is promising, but CF26 does have alot to address such as the points you stated. They also need to add in more teams/conferences. I wanted to play with my College, Norfolks State University, but they're not in the game. Ivy league school's like Harvard arent here, HBCU's arent here, etc. The game seems to be worth the money off the strength of dynasty and gameplay isnt madden. If CF26 addresses all of the things in this video, add in highschool or your idea for RTG, and add in more colleges, as well as add i ESPN sinc3 they have the license anyway, CF26 could go down as an all timer....all because of the solid foundation of CF25. Hopefully EA doesn't F this up.
yeah at it's core its a pretty solid game. at the very least its fun and gameplay doesnt feel cheap. but im with ya man, fingers crossed that they bulk up on the quality for CFB 26
What if they used the mini games to help determine your rtg ratings even... cool game but they dropped the ball in some major areas for a player like myself.
What I really like about 25 is it does have smaller schools. For example Kennesaw State University, Jacksonville State University, JMU, Costal Carolina etc… problem is 1st, they don’t do High School football like in 14, they don’t allow you to edit your player while what exactly happened to Mascot Mashup?
the detail that NCAA 14 had they totally threw all that out in this one....im convinced they really didn't put much work into this. they spent more time making sure they got the NIL contracts and licenses more than they took attention to detail....the fact that you can't change jersey numbers or faces of players its really a big deal even in DYNASTY!!! it makes no sense...for NIL players I get but future A.I. generated players???? make it make sense. Also the simulation is horrible why is FCS south east beating Georgia?

I'm also an RTG player and they really fumbled with this mode. Not being able to sim plays in RTG, no audibles, bad camera, the new coach trust is so bad. Why even have the option to change the play if you're gonna show me the same play 3 times? I can't watch my team play while I'm not in the game. Not to mention all of the odd UI decisions they made that you pointed out in your video like seeing stats from the heisman page, no heisman ceremony just a pop up. It's such a massive step backwards. It's really disappointing.
The only time I've ever seen a player break his verbal commitment is if the school he's committed to stops qualifying for his dealbreaker. So, if his dealbreaker is in a category that can't change mid-season, immediately give up on him. But if his dealbreaker is championship contender, and the school he's going to has a bad overall rating... keep him on your board, and if that school does really bad, he'll flip to his second place school. Next year, kids should have up to 5 dealbreakers. And they should bring back promises that you can make to get extra influence. I really miss that coach integrity system where breaking promises hurt your reputation.
Did anyone else noticed that Duke's mascot is missing? And they did md terps dirty rating wise, how we beat Auburn at a bowl game, going 8 and 5, and our rating is worse than Rutgers 💀
The game is 27 GB to think this looks close to next gen is just the rose tinted glasses. Seems they attempted to use some sort of filter(you can see a noticeable grey haze go over the menu once you log in to their servers) to make it look like we are I guess watching a game in 1995 on TV. Next gen belongs nowhere near this game as it could have easily ran on PS3/360. So no last gen was marketing to cause a multitude of ppl to give them $30 to test their game different day same ole EA. It’s like madden 15’ with college skins.
Some of that blurriness and quality may be from the ps5 capture quality. This is my first time recording gameplay internally on the PS5 and it doesn't look great.
@@WildLionGames I have it was talking about the game itself, you touched on some of it in your vid, but the noticeable gap between CFB25 and Madden 24 or any other EA title is unacceptable hopefully it gets fixed with a patch tonight I think it’s a bug with the contrast.

The players coming off a verbal commit only happens if a dealbreaker comes up. Like they commit to UVA and they have a dealbreaker for championship contender requiring B- and UVA is a B- then they lose four games and drop to a C+ then that player can decommit.
Played the free trial lastnight, the gameplay is pretty good, & I didn’t run into any glitches or commentator issues maybe it’s a rare occurrence, after first patch this game will be golden
Pros: -True Next-Gen Graphics -Good Attention to Detail (On MOST things) -Satisfying Gameplay -New game mechanics work pretty well and make the gameplay refreshing in 2024 -Great Dynasty Mode -Great RTG Mode -Good Customization -Homefield Advantage actually matters Cons: -Presentation is good with what is there, but it is lacking in some areas. I feel like more could've been done with halftime, post-game, and studio updates. -As mentioned before in Pros, there is attention to detail and it's better than the old CFB games, but there are still some things missing with team entrances, stadiums, etc. -The Game is sort of unbalanced, where it seems to favor Offense over Defense a little too heavily. Don't get me wrong, you can still make plays on D, but you often have to work way to hard to prevent big plays. And don't even get me started with AI pass coverage. Even with higher overall players it is often not that good. For someone like me who has traditionally usered D-Linemen, I now have to make sure I user a DB or LB to prevent getting burnt or having someone left open. And though adjusting sliders and settings may help with this, it should be better than what it is by default. Overall this game is definitely not perfect, But it is still a very good game that will provide almost endless hours of enjoyment, and is more than sufficient for the return of CFB.
How is Dynasty mode great exactly? Can you be specific? Can't edit recruits, can't create recruits, 5 star players going months with me being the only school to offer. No trophy room. Pre game and post game presentation is non existent. Commentary repeats the same 5 line. This game is more shallow than a kiddie pool.

@Flyeaglesfly215 can't ignore game breaking bugs sorry. A player of mine just won the Heisman and was on zero AA or all conference teams. Make it make sense man. Oh and custom schedules get bugged after year 1 since EA still has the future opponents lined up regardless of current schedule. My team in year 2 only plays 7 conference games LOL. Again, these are very hard things to ignore.
My biggest gripe is it just feels like every team is the same. Ratings don’t seem to matter as much as they should playing or simming. FCS teams are constantly Appalachian Stating everyone.
Hey something buggy i noticed. Tested this with multiple dynasties and plenty of seasons. I noticed that roster ratings are just off. My defense was rated an 89 and i didnt even have a defender over an 80 overall. That makes no sense. And then i looked at my overall and it was 88. I only had 1 player rated 90. Everyone else was under an 84. Then i checked miami and they were rated an 86 and they had like 10 90+ overall players. This game is full of bugs
I think you are presuming those two numbers are tied to each other, and they are not. The team ranking is based on your position compared to other team's rosters. So even if there were no players in the game ranked 99, the best defense will still be ranked 99.
You can definitely tell this is their first time making a CFB game. I feel like they overhyped it a bit. But now that they got a solid foundation future iterations should be really good.
When I am blowing out a team in Dynasty mode, it will sub my QB or running back automatically. Also, when I go to hurry up and call a play, my quarterback will just hand the ball off sometimes. I really like this game though.
Bro I was shocked how bland the presentation is because like they said in those deep dives the way they were talking I really thought presentation was going to be legendary. And literally every teams comes out the tunnel the same way.
I think your idea on star rating would be good, but here is another. What if you get a star rating based on if you get selected as an 1st or second team player, if you are national then you get added skills or mentalities
I will never love it. Its for nerds now. Its madden remade. The names of the plays are copy and paste from madden. The pregame and celebrations are nice but gameplay sucks. Clunky just like madden. I cant get any pepper on a pass. I will NEVER use that gauge system for NERDS! EA took a game made for athletes and made it so complex its now made for nerds. The menu music is fine. Rutgers has a scarlet knight on a horse that leads the team out & he plants his sword into the ground after leading the team out. Ea left all of that out. Even the mascot which they have on the home screen but not on the field
Ea games are so garbage .! Its looks like the same 5 plays over and over and over. . . Nothing about ea’s garbage ass gameplay does make sense . They just make the graphics look. Back in NCAA '06 you could You can put all your attributes up to 99 Make a dude like 7 ft tall and play with all the characters but if you want to feed your character the whole time you could. Once you complete college you can enter the draft and then transfer your character over to Madden 06 and your character would get drafted and go from a 99 overall to a 75 overall lol 15:40

We can’t edit any of our players equipment in a offline dynasty mode. I I know that’s not necessarily a deal breaker or the worst thing out there but I am someone who likes to completely customize my dynasty and my players attire to a t. I’m not even concerned on changing names or jerseys or ratings but at least let us change equipment. Anyone else ?
I completely agree, the biggest issue is the rankings. Florida State actually made the playoff as a 6-6 team. And that's happened more than a few times. Also, more than a few times, 4 loss teams are ranked #1. Yes, I do make conferences loaded, but still. And yes, a lot of crazy upsets. I know upsets do happen, but in one of my sims...Kentucky beat Georgia...now, if it was a close game that'd be one thing. They beat them...45-7?!?!?! What?!?!?!
Agree with you that it was pointless to change the controls for the read option. I'm so messed up I get confused about who has the ball. I like Dynasty mode, but the simulation mechanics need to be tweaked. Top teams often have 2 or 3 losses by the end of the season. In reality it's usually no more than one. Also, one season a QB from Charlotte won the Heisman, that would never happen. My other complaint is that they took away create a player, create a prospect and other customization features that had been in the games for years. I saw other videos where you can edit players that are computer generated which is create a player in essence. But there are still fields you can't update.

also who should buy this game? My personal opinion...if you're an RTG player or a player where customization is hyper important to you. This is an easy pass. RTG does nothing different and sometimes less than previous iterations. Teambuilder.....the no editing player names bugs me a lot. gameplay is fun and so is Dynasty. so if you just want to play online or pick ups against the CPU and you're cool with dynasty mode than you'll like it

If you play dynasty and have it set to allow editing you can edit the names of the players in TeamBuilder. I’m pretty sure it only allows you to edit the names of players on TeamBuilder teams at this point. So yes you can’t on the website itself, but once you download them in game and start up dynasty you can go and edit them and change to whatever you want for the most part.

I’m going to be honest, gameplay wise I’m still trying to figure out where to put sliders to make it more realistic. My first game BOTH teams had 100+ points with 15 min quarters. Next game felt like I was getting my face smashed on the concrete

Honest and fair review, one problem with new games like this is you can never give fair criticism without people deeming you a hater. Pretending like it's perfect will never help the game progress, I get it's new and it's been a long time but we have to be honest if there's noticeable problems.
I love the small details in games it adds to immersion and gives the game life, so i do wish the presentation was better. Its like playing the super bowl on madden, it just never had that importance to it like the real game lol. At least give the crowd more life or something.

When it comes to the commentary they rarely say the players last name. The stadium announcer says the number of the player on the play. If you have licensing from the players themselves & are not announcing their names then it is completely pointless! SAME EA CRAP EVERY YEAR!!! WE HAVE WAITED 10 YEARS FOR THIS??? EXTREMELY SAD!!!
Yea hearing player names is a HUGE part of any kind of sports commentary. I was excited for this one, thinking it would be more immersive. Really not even worth keeping the commentary on after a few games here. Very disappointed.

They should have giving us the option to use our own music for stadium sounds like they did in NCAA '09. Back in that game you could have music for every first down, every turnover, ever touchdown, and before every kickoff after you score as the home team.

It’s a hype job. No mascot mode, no weather changes during a live game, and there’s a handful of stuff that should be patched already lol.
Honestly, the older NCAA’s were better. CFB is an upgraded version of Madden with bells and whistles. It’s a filler game. People will get bored of it within 3 months from now.

It’s so much harder to set defense In this game unlike in Madden, the O line non existent , coaching adjustments do not matter( for example I went against a guy who was spamming speed options and every time he pitched it off to the RB so I made the adjustment to forget about the QB and yet for the remainder of the game the QB was the focus of the options. Still won tho) the passing is just…. Ass tbh on all 4 of the different settings. Went 8-2 my first season online won’t play anymore online till a MASSIVE patch. And the tackling in this game is pathetic

Auburn actually retired their bald eagle a couple of years ago. The bird they have now looks just like you showed in the one you showed in the game. That said, I'm curious if they ever fixed the carrier dome. For years above the endzone where it said Syracuse University, university was spelled wrong.🤣

Every time I play a team ranked 70 overall. I’m Indiana and they either give me all kinds of problems or I lose. And they are getting injured all over the place. How can they possibly compete at my stadium. Just one grip, the game is still very good and fun. Just little things like you said.

Man I’m a gopher fan but am a diehard Michigan fan. I also recreated the pac 12 cause I hate that it doesn’t exist anymore. I’m freaking struggling against Nevada. In 14 you could develop your team and if you get a defensive scheme down can hold your own against teams like Ohio state in the early seasons. This game is basically just an offense simulator. No matter how much you adjust defense is pointless and I’m a defense oriented person. It’s pretty damn infuriating.
When you’ve had as much time as they’ve had to get this game ready, it’s disappointing when they miss the little things. Not having standings or in game updates feels like a missed opportunity.
They had like a year or two. NIL deals came out a couple years.

Ea ruined this game honestly. Especially with RTG if you don’t start off as a 5 star or 4 you have no career so what’s the point of a career mode
It’s super buggy too, you either get the glitch where you get like 100 skill points after one practice, or it’s the complete opposite where the skill points don’t work unless you get them through training. So either way you get no sense of progression, plus the subbing Ai is just awful.
dynasty too. the sim logic is awful, stats are screwed up, and the recruits arent balanced. first qb i scouted was a 3 star with 96 throw power, 95 speed, 95 acceleration.
Don’t play on hesiman your team will never block, the QB throws a pick 6 anytime you get close to scoring

the graphics and presentation for this game are beautiful, but unfortunately, the gameplay is the same madden frostbite engine with people falling over each other in gang tackles like woody on toy story,still has unrealistic 5 yard juke/spin moves, players are still clipping through bodies, offensive lineman are still confused on who to block lol and everyone is still running on air with no signature animations so everyone literally runs exactly the same outside of lineman😩😩 easports=🗑🗑 🤣

I’ve got picked on this too… I’ve noticed anticipating the route is the way to go there 90% of the time. In madden you could let the receiver get to his spot and THEN bullet pass with success.

I’ve played ncaa 14 and the new game. I still like 14 better, it’s strange that the new game has even more zombie looking fans, refs, cheerleaders, and players. Announcers sound like they took a whole bottle of melatonin and still way too laggy for what it’s hyped up to be.
I'm looking forward to the 14 vs 25 comparison. I liked the older NCAA better too. NCAA 06 was the best to me.

Respect on the honest review. I purchased a Series S specifically for this game. I'll finally be able to play tomorrow after it's official reelase. The foundation is promising, but CF26 does have alot to address such as the points you stated. They also need to add in more teams/conferences. I wanted to play with my College, Norfolks State University, but they're not in the game. Ivy league school's like Harvard arent here, HBCU's arent here, etc. The game seems to be worth the money off the strength of dynasty and gameplay isnt madden. If CF26 addresses all of the things in this video, add in highschool or your idea for RTG, and add in more colleges, as well as add i ESPN sinc3 they have the license anyway, CF26 could go down as an all timer....all because of the solid foundation of CF25. Hopefully EA doesn't F this up.

With skill trees you should only be able to specialize in offense or defense and rely on the the other coaches for the other side of the ball perks

What if they used the mini games to help determine your rtg ratings even... cool game but they dropped the ball in some major areas for a player like myself.
yeah that'd be cool! doesnt need to be ultra-realistic drills, but position specfic mini games to help determine your ratings would be fun
What I really like about 25 is it does have smaller schools. For example Kennesaw State University, Jacksonville State University, JMU, Costal Carolina etc… problem is 1st, they don’t do High School football like in 14, they don’t allow you to edit your player while what exactly happened to Mascot Mashup?
How is there no create a player & how can we not edit our offline dynasty roster players attributes?
I’m 5 years in at Vandy in my dynasty, had a 5 star QB that de-committed from Oregon and I actually landed him. It was a huge moment for me!
So even after you take players off your board, always go back and look at the prospect tab each week and see if you see any de-commits.
the detail that NCAA 14 had they totally threw all that out in this one....im convinced they really didn't put much work into this. they spent more time making sure they got the NIL contracts and licenses more than they took attention to detail....the fact that you can't change jersey numbers or faces of players its really a big deal even in DYNASTY!!! it makes no sense...for NIL players I get but future A.I. generated players???? make it make sense. Also the simulation is horrible why is FCS south east beating Georgia?
You got my sub with the comment about CIV. I’ve been playing CIV 5 for two months and needed something to get me off it so I thought NCAA 25, didn’t expect it to be so addicting. I agree with everything you’ve said - I cannot figure out the switch stick to save my life and thought I may be learning impaired. 😂

I'm also an RTG player and they really fumbled with this mode. Not being able to sim plays in RTG, no audibles, bad camera, the new coach trust is so bad. Why even have the option to change the play if you're gonna show me the same play 3 times? I can't watch my team play while I'm not in the game. Not to mention all of the odd UI decisions they made that you pointed out in your video like seeing stats from the heisman page, no heisman ceremony just a pop up. It's such a massive step backwards. It's really disappointing.

The only time I've ever seen a player break his verbal commitment is if the school he's committed to stops qualifying for his dealbreaker.
So, if his dealbreaker is in a category that can't change mid-season, immediately give up on him. But if his dealbreaker is championship contender, and the school he's going to has a bad overall rating... keep him on your board, and if that school does really bad, he'll flip to his second place school.
Next year, kids should have up to 5 dealbreakers. And they should bring back promises that you can make to get extra influence. I really miss that coach integrity system where breaking promises hurt your reputation.

No trophy room is pretty disappointing to me, especially since it was in the last games and seems relatively easy to port in.
What happens when you win championships? Is it just not recorded at all?
The game is 27 GB to think this looks close to next gen is just the rose tinted glasses. Seems they attempted to use some sort of filter(you can see a noticeable grey haze go over the menu once you log in to their servers) to make it look like we are I guess watching a game in 1995 on TV. Next gen belongs nowhere near this game as it could have easily ran on PS3/360. So no last gen was marketing to cause a multitude of ppl to give them $30 to test their game different day same ole EA. It’s like madden 15’ with college skins.

Some of that blurriness and quality may be from the ps5 capture quality.
This is my first time recording gameplay internally on the PS5 and it doesn't look great.
@@WildLionGames I have it was talking about the game itself, you touched on some of it in your vid, but the noticeable gap between CFB25 and Madden 24 or any other EA title is unacceptable hopefully it gets fixed with a patch tonight I think it’s a bug with the contrast.

The players coming off a verbal commit only happens if a dealbreaker comes up. Like they commit to UVA and they have a dealbreaker for championship contender requiring B- and UVA is a B- then they lose four games and drop to a C+ then that player can decommit.
Graphics are spectacular? Same stuff for almost a decade now.
Played the free trial lastnight, the gameplay is pretty good, & I didn’t run into any glitches or commentator issues maybe it’s a rare occurrence, after first patch this game will be golden
I just think for the hype they made around commentary it's pretty run of the mill

-New game mechanics work pretty well and make the gameplay refreshing in 2024

-Great RTG Mode
-Good Customization
-Homefield Advantage actually matters
Cons:
-Presentation is good with what is there, but it is lacking in some areas. I feel like more could've been done with halftime, post-game, and studio updates.
-As mentioned before in Pros, there is attention to detail and it's better than the old CFB games, but there are still some things missing with team entrances, stadiums, etc.
-The Game is sort of unbalanced, where it seems to favor Offense over Defense a little too heavily. Don't get me wrong, you can still make plays on D, but you often have to work way to hard to prevent big plays. And don't even get me started with AI pass coverage. Even with higher overall players it is often not that good. For someone like me who has traditionally usered D-Linemen, I now have to make sure I user a DB or LB to prevent getting burnt or having someone left open. And though adjusting sliders and settings may help with this, it should be better than what it is by default.
Overall this game is definitely not perfect, But it is still a very good game that will provide almost endless hours of enjoyment, and is more than sufficient for the return of CFB.

How is Dynasty mode great exactly? Can you be specific? Can't edit recruits, can't create recruits, 5 star players going months with me being the only school to offer. No trophy room. Pre game and post game presentation is non existent. Commentary repeats the same 5 line. This game is more shallow than a kiddie pool.
@crazcane yeah usually if you spend all your time on picking on the things you don't like instead of just enjoying the things you do thays usually the experience you'll have with anything
@Flyeaglesfly215 can't ignore game breaking bugs sorry. A player of mine just won the Heisman and was on zero AA or all conference teams. Make it make sense man.
Oh and custom schedules get bugged after year 1 since EA still has the future opponents lined up regardless of current schedule. My team in year 2 only plays 7 conference games LOL. Again, these are very hard things to ignore.
My biggest gripe is it just feels like every team is the same. Ratings don’t seem to matter as much as they should playing or simming. FCS teams are constantly Appalachian Stating everyone.

Hey something buggy i noticed. Tested this with multiple dynasties and plenty of seasons. I noticed that roster ratings are just off. My defense was rated an 89 and i didnt even have a defender over an 80 overall. That makes no sense. And then i looked at my overall and it was 88. I only had 1 player rated 90. Everyone else was under an 84. Then i checked miami and they were rated an 86 and they had like 10 90+ overall players. This game is full of bugs
I think you are presuming those two numbers are tied to each other, and they are not. The team ranking is based on your position compared to other team's rosters. So even if there were no players in the game ranked 99, the best defense will still be ranked 99.

You can’t use stick switch while controlling a blitzer/D-lineman. You have to be in coverage in order to use switch stick

You can definitely tell this is their first time making a CFB game. I feel like they overhyped it a bit. But now that they got a solid foundation future iterations should be really good.

When I am blowing out a team in Dynasty mode, it will sub my QB or running back automatically. Also, when I go to hurry up and call a play, my quarterback will just hand the ball off sometimes. I really like this game though.

Bro I was shocked how bland the presentation is because like they said in those deep dives the way they were talking I really thought presentation was going to be legendary. And literally every teams comes out the tunnel the same way.

I think your idea on star rating would be good, but here is another. What if you get a star rating based on if you get selected as an 1st or second team player, if you are national then you get added skills or mentalities
I will never love it. Its for nerds now. Its madden remade. The names of the plays are copy and paste from madden. The pregame and celebrations are nice but gameplay sucks. Clunky just like madden. I cant get any pepper on a pass. I will NEVER use that gauge system for NERDS! EA took a game made for athletes and made it so complex its now made for nerds. The menu music is fine.
I will be buying a 360 and ncaa 2014. Fuck this game and fuuuuuck EA. LAZY SHITHEADS

Rutgers has a scarlet knight on a horse that leads the team out & he plants his sword into the ground after leading the team out. Ea left all of that out. Even the mascot which they have on the home screen but not on the field

They made the players run less like hunchback gorillas .
Their menus and presentation has always been top tier.
But there is such limited animations
Everyone look like clowns and they all do the same exact 5 animations over n over n over.
The players don't move like humans and there's a lot of wonky physics.
Back in NCAA '06 you could You can put all your attributes up to 99 Make a dude like 7 ft tall and play with all the characters but if you want to feed your character the whole time you could. Once you complete college you can enter the draft and then transfer your character over to Madden 06 and your character would get drafted and go from a 99 overall to a 75 overall lol 15:40

We can’t edit any of our players equipment in a offline dynasty mode. I I know that’s not necessarily a deal breaker or the worst thing out there but I am someone who likes to completely customize my dynasty and my players attire to a t. I’m not even concerned on changing names or jerseys or ratings but at least let us change equipment. Anyone else ?

I completely agree, the biggest issue is the rankings. Florida State actually made the playoff as a 6-6 team. And that's happened more than a few times. Also, more than a few times, 4 loss teams are ranked #1. Yes, I do make conferences loaded, but still. And yes, a lot of crazy upsets. I know upsets do happen, but in one of my sims...Kentucky beat Georgia...now, if it was a close game that'd be one thing. They beat them...45-7?!?!?! What?!?!?!

Agree with you that it was pointless to change the controls for the read option. I'm so messed up I get confused about who has the ball. I like Dynasty mode, but the simulation mechanics need to be tweaked. Top teams often have 2 or 3 losses by the end of the season. In reality it's usually no more than one. Also, one season a QB from Charlotte won the Heisman, that would never happen. My other complaint is that they took away create a player, create a prospect and other customization features that had been in the games for years. I saw other videos where you can edit players that are computer generated which is create a player in essence. But there are still fields you can't update.
Man thank you for being honest. There are many things I thought this game would have but I’m sad RTG is lackluster completely. I was expecting more flushed out in attention paid detail, but I forgot who made the game is still EA sports
