That jalapeño cheese sauce is gold in the field. You can trade that sauce pack for a guys wife in the army if you’ve been in the field long enough.
I just tried this MRE today and i was so lucky to have 2 of this jalapeno cheese sauces inside. Damn, in the field i would have been the King. 😂

This menu is probably one of my favorites, that beef with the jalapeño cheese on the flour tortilla is amazing. I usually skip the beans and I'll put the tortillas in the heater bag too.
I miss the orange/cherry/fruitcake dessert cakes from Gen 1-2 mres. Everyone talked shit about the oatmeal cookie bar (you can hone your bayonet or build a bullet proof barricade with them) they were good crumbled up and mixed with chocolate drink powder, creamer and a bit of water. The dehydrated fruit packs were pretty good too.
I just tried it (as a German civilian). It's quite alright, edible and somewhat tasty.
Just the amount of plastic trash is insane.
Thats the cost of sealing food so it does not spoil. Melt it down and turn it to G36s
Overall, it's a good menu. One disappointment I have with American MREs is the FRH bag. I wish it were larger to fit the lot if you want. Tortillas and choc chip would've been better warm.
Slide the cardboard sleeve from the top down to make sure the bag stays folded. Warming the tortillas with the frh makes them more pliable less likely to break apart.
I think the beans and the shredded beef combined is a great dinner.

Tip from the field when I was in. Put the cheese spread into the heater….. You’ve got liquid gold baby…..
The 2022 MRE Menu 2 doesn't come with the BBQ sauce (it's probably already incorporated in the main course) or the beans. You get instead a cinnamon bum with some jelly filling, a chocolate hazelnut protein drink, and apple strawberry carrot squeeze drink thingy... also, the heater is luck based I guess, the first MRE I tried (menu 1) heated perfectly, I almost burn my tongue, but on the menu 2 I had to reposition the pack and turn it around to get it hotter, didn't fully heated the meal even after 20 minutes.
Certainly have come a long way from the ham and eggs C-ration of the late 60s early 70s
The next menu I think is one to look forward to. Chicken, noodles and vegetables in sauce.
If you wanna enhance it, a little bit (easily less than half) of the salt and hot sauce does the trick.
Love the whole pack had peanut butter spread cheese spread hot sauce just no Cookie witch I would have traded anyway one Of my favorites.

Yes. You'd use your canteen for the drink mix and the hot beverage bag for the coffee.

Esa comida es muy cara, quiero hacer menús parecido pero no encuentro carne como esa enlatada. busque en internet carne en barbacoa enlatada y me apareció carne con papa dulce pero era comida para perro :(
