This is the power output what observed from my TT685c Godox flash.
Equipments used: Godox TT685c and Fully charged Eneloop pro batteries.
Test 1: Set the flash to 1/1 power. Then try to continuously fire the speed light.
Observation: it fired continuous up to 14 flashes with the time interval( recycle time) of average 1.8 second. That means after every 1.8 seconds, I was able to fire the flash light up to 14 shots.
Test 2: Flash was kept firing after the 14th shot. But it took average of 10 seconds ( recycle time) to fire the next flash. I think this is due to flash overheat.
Test 3: I turned OFF the flash for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, I turned ON the TT685c and started to fire continuously. Flash did the same thing. It fired 14 continuous flashes with a time interval of 1.8 second and after that it started to increase the time interval to average 10 seconds. This is due to overheat.
Test 4: I did a nother test and found that if you turn OFF the flash for 1 minute after it overheated (which is after the 14 continuous flashes) you should be able to reset the flash and go to normal firing condition. But if you leave the flash ON and try it after 1 minute, it will not fire continuous 14 shots.
I AM NOT SURE WHY THE FLASH ON THIS VIDEO DOES NOT FIRE AS MY FLASH.
MY FLASH ONLY TOOK 1.8 SECONDS TO FIRE THE NEXT FLASH.
I DEFFINITELY ADVICE YOU TO CHECK YOUR BATTERIS!!!

This pretty much matches what I find, using both eneloop pros & Ikea Ladda2450s; and I get almost the same performance from Lidl's Tronic 2500 nimhs & they are £3.00 for 4!
The video must be using absolutely knackered cheapo batteries.
Probably the ones you get in solar garden lights 🙂

I have 2 of them, using them with the 2 x Godox TT685's I use. Turns the Godox TT685 into a powerhouse 1800 full power flash output per charge and much faster recycling time! I use these when I need lazy light. I also have 2 x Godox AD200's, AD600 TTL and 2 x MS300's. When in studio, I use whatever is available at that studio, usually Broncolor.

great video! i can completely relate with your comment about waiting for the flashes to be ready and me missing a shot. question: when one uses godox speedlights with the godox pb960 pack, there is no need for other batteries to power the speedlight? when i use my nikon speedlight with the godox pb960, i still need to install batteries for the speedlight electronics. so with the godox pg960 pack and godox speedlights, the pack will power the speedlights completely, right?

Are you sure it takes that long to charge up after a full discharge , because mine after a full discharge takes a maximum of 3 Second only. So i don't know what crap batteries were in yours but the must have been falling apart. You really need to amend this video.

I just did the test too, im getting 3ish seconds too. Taking a closer look, you can see his batteries were nearly dead (top right corner the battery outline was flashing)

I have the Yongnuo YN600EX-RT II and I use the Quantum turbo compact. BTW why retire your Quantum Turbo SC when you can take it apart and replace the batteries inside with fresh rechargeable lithium batteries and their good to go again. I did it on my Quantum turbo compact and its working good again.

A bit big and chunky for a "portable" battery pack. Using Quantum for over 15 years, I was hoping for something a bit smaller, considering that I am not shooting with Fuji gear and Godox flashes.

Do I have to have AA batteries in the flash while the pb960 is being used or can I have the flash empty? unsure what the manual is saying.

    • @yohanpamudji123
      @yohanpamudji123 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

You need the AA batteries in the flash to power the LCD and controls. The PB960 only powers the flash light output.

Does anybody know if this Godox unit will work like the Quantum Turbos (classic and 2x2)? My Quantums are getting old, rather than messing around replacing the batteries, I may as well as get these? I use Quantum Qflash T's as well as Canon Speedlights.

Could you please post the recycling time when a single Godox TT685 flash is connected Godox PB960 battery over a single port and also with a Y-cable over two ports? Another video shows that the recycle time of a Canon 600EX-RT flash when connected to the single port of PB960 is 0.875 second and when a Y-cable is used the recycle time is an incredible 0.500 second. How about Godox TT685?

it takes about 3.5 s for recycle with good AA battery in full power ! even with Alkaline batteries recycle time is about 5~8 s ( depending on battery brand and type)
so , this review is not accurate . but sure ,PB960 is verry good . with AA battery is not that bad , common 13 Sec??!! NO
its about 3.5 s with good Nimh battery.

what's the point of cutting the video off just as most of us are waiting to see what leads there are? it's hardly news that a battery pack improves recycle time.

Hello, I would like to see how well the Godox PB960 works with the camera in continuous mode. I should in continuous mode at about 1/2 power. I use a pair of Nikon SB-900's and a Nikon D7100
    Any information would be great
    Thanks

Hi, do you know if the Godox is compatiable with the Neewer 910 and the Nissin Di866 Mark II?

    • @emotivephotographytraining4862
      @emotivephotographytraining4862  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

if you mean is the battery pack compatible, there is a list on the Godox website on compatible flash.I do know there 4 different types of power cables sold separately, you can get to fit different cable types, Nikon, Canon,Sony and Metz, i believe that the Godox T685 uses canon cables, but don't quote me on that lol!

For a majority of flashes the Canon Cable will get you going. The Canon Cable has (3) Inline Pins, and the cable will accept them. If you have Goddox or Flashpoint units then you use the Canon Cable as well.

Wait for those batteries in the flashes where not fully charge I have a TT685 and I could get many flashes with a very good recycling time even in full power not what you just showed let's be fair, I understand that the pack is better but what you just did is not justifiable.

I have been using Godox Powerpacks for about a year. I got so frustrated with the cables that I am back to 2600mAh rechargeable AA batteries. The cable quality is so poor that it is NOT worth buying the entire set. How stupid is that? The cable ALWAYS breaks (internally) right behind the connector for your flash-unit. Were the cable makes its first turn so to say. The cable has some reinforcement there, but obviously it is not enough. And that is CRUCIAL Godox-crew. So please make these cables stronger! Or we will not buy your products. It is an expensive cable, and I am not willing to buy 5 of them EACH YEAR.

I have to say this is really misleading and an unfair comparison. You should either correct or remove this video because it is BS. There is no way that the TT685s take 14 seconds to recycle unless you have alkaline batteries that are close to death or rechargeable batteries in serious need of a charge. I have just tested my TT685s with standard Panasonic 2000 mah batteries and the flashes recycle in around 2.2 seconds which is more like it.

This is a great Battery Pack. It recharged my Metz 45CT-1 in less than 3 seconds. I used it on my last vacation to shoot over 15 rolls of film. The battery indicator went down by one point only. It was great. However, its a great battery pack while it works. Four days ago it stop working to this day there is no reply to my email from Godox. The battery can be turn on, after 3 seconds it turns off by it self. Charging or removing it did not help. No help at all from Godox such a waste of money.

I have heard that from several people, will plumb for the Quantum Turbo 3 2x2, a lot more money but reliability is king when your taking someones money to record a once in a lifetime event.

Gave it a thumbs down because you infuriatingly skipped showing how you connected the PB960 to the flashes, or what cables you used. Its a part of the video man, its why i hopped over. Disappointed. And nothing in the description. no links, no explanation.
