Hi! I am confused between choosing a Godox V860ii with Lithium Ion Battery and a Godox 685N with regular cells (and then attaching it to a Godox PB960). Which one would you suggest?! Thanks in Advance!
Thank you so much for reaching out. Attaching the 685N I believe would give you the same issue I have. If used for a stationary OCF it works great but as a "walk around" unit, I need to look into stretching the cord as another commenter suggested. I would look into recycle time to make your decision. It also depends on if you are just using Godox or using Godox with other brands (such as for me its the Canon 600's)
Changing Optics w/ Scooter Roth Hi! I have decided to go with V860ii as I would be shooting events and therefore recycle time is important. Also less hassle of carrying AA batteries. I am just starting out, so will be be getting into the Godox family! Have a Nikon D7200
Try a stretching the godoxs to the wanted length then use a blow dryer to soften the cord material and allow to cool 😎 I think you’ll be pleased 😃 good luck bud!
Why not just use a self adhesive cable stay to your flashgun ? I use a Nikon SB900 flashgun & have been for many years along with a Turbo 3 battery pack. Never has any of my equipment come close to have an issue like this.
I found this and tried to look at this guys videos, The site is year old without any new content. His website did not work. I thought he did not make it through covid and was dead. His facebook page works and has recent content so I am happy he is alive. There are no cost fixes for this guys problems but he probably does not use this battery anymore. Godox has rechargable batteries in their new flash guns. two of them, the new V1 and TT685ii have a port for this battery. the battery comes with a neck strap that would put the battery at chest level or under his arm pit and solve his problem if he was till using it this way.
What Godox cable needed for pro ATG/Metz 76MZ-5?
With the godox battery pack can I use it without batteries in the speedlite?
No, you can not.
Depends I guess. The Godox TT685ii requires batteries in the flash to use the Pb960. says right in the manual.
Hi Mate, Which Flash you were using with Godox Battery pack? I have 600EX RT II, would it work?
Thanks for the video.
Yes, you need to buy Godox cable for Canon.

i believe quantum cords can be used
Order a Quantum TURBO II cable. Costs more, but is the exact same pin-outs, and lasts for YEARS, instead of the cheap GODOX cables.
Ty for the suggestion. Love hearing what other photographers use.
Just get a cable from quantum is much longer and reliable
I upgraded since making this video
You’re sweating it too much. Just calm down.
Thats no fun.
