He had maybe a minute of screen time, but in that time he dropped some tasty clues about where the show goes from here! Actually, it was Steve who mentions giving up the palisman. Hunter was kinda repressing that, having only recently bonded with Flapjack and not wanting to think about what might happen to him.

A thought hit me! What if Belos can’t “eat” Clawthrone palisments?
I don’t full know how, but the face that he didn’t “eat” Owlbert when he had the chance, or the fact that Lilith was able to keep her palisment makes we wonder.
The cardinal that Hunter adopted is most theorised to be 'Caleb' Whittabane's. Maybe Dell is the Son or relative of "Caleb's" girlfriend, and either Dell or him carved both palisman together. Maybe as a sign of friendship?
I don't think Dell is old enough to have ever met Caleb, as it's been around 400 years (1600s) since he died. I _do_ think that Dell is a descendent of Caleb & the witch he was in a relationship with, just not 'directly' (meaning maybe Dell's grandfather/grandmother was the child that witch appeared to be pregnant with at the time of Caleb's death).

I would not say that close but definitely a relative. My theory is that Del’s palisman could be Flapjacks relative in some palisman way, as they are very similar.
What if Hooty is the owl deity and he hasn't gotten to his final form yet. There isn't much evidence other than Hooty and the Owl deity being owls or at least looks like an owl

I think its very likely that belos, know the clawthorn family were all his brother's descendants, would bestow upon them the duty to be the emperor's personal palisman suppliers. Giving the story a more wicked sense of revenge
I'm now also realizing in Hollow Mind they never show us Philip's brother's eyes...
If we found out that his eyes were golden that would not only add onto the whole Golden Guard thing...but nail in that they're likely related. Both Eda and Dell have golden eyes, it would be intriguing.
This all being brought up since Hunter's eyes are just product of being a Grimwalker(most likely)

I bet the Clawthorne's are related to Philip's brother/friend judging by their looks, palisman, and from the paintings in Belos's mind.
We can confirm Phillip murdered his brother Caleb?, due to 'betraying him'. The portraits in the background shows the two growing up during the late 17th century the time of the witch trials and hunts. Perhaps they were going to follow in family members footsteps, which Phillip certainly did. Caleb on the other hand showed more interest and curiosity, while Phil kept his mind narrow, brother found love and made a family with a possible Clawthorne. In fact they say the Clawthorne family comes from a long line of palismen carvers, what do we see in one of the old portraits of the brothers Caleb carving Phil's mask out of wood as children. So it could be possible Caleb started the palismen carving tradition in his family.
I think Caleb, is that his brother's name?, Being an ancestor of the Clawthorne family is possible, don't you see a resemblance to Philip and young Dell? I almost thought they were the same person...

Since Phillip brought witches to the Titan so they can be a sacrifice and I am wondering if Del's mission might've been a trap and Eda hurting him kinda saved him

I think the reason behind Del's trip to the mandible had something to do with the fact that 'The Collector' is trapped (imprisoned) beneath the skull of the Titan. It's suggested by all the various methods being used to keep them imprisoned there that it's a very powerful entity that poses a great threat to their world...
My guess is that specific members of the community (those who are powerful or perhaps members of prominent families) who have passed down knowledge about The Collector & the spells that bind it, meet at certain predetermined times to reapply or strengthen those binding spells... Like during Eclipses, or other important astronomical events.
Personally i think the owl demon of the mural is the titans palisman, and is directly linked to sealing away the collector. It could be that clawthornes were used to carve palismans specifically for belos to drink but its much more likely he takes them from his own coven members, not only to trap them in his coven but to have a steady supply of juice
Glad you’re back, Whit! To add to your theory-crafting, if you look at one of the paintings in “Hollow Mind,” you’ll see Philip’s brother whittling something for his brother when they were younger. Something tells me HE was the origin of the Clawthorne’s palisman carving.

Ooo, like he carve a random piece of wood and it made the first palisman after carving a wooden version of the bird that came with them to the boiling isle.
Since remember, they first had to succeed with bile heart magic before they can use palisman.. Meaning they came out AFTER natural magic.

I never noticed the owl deity before, but now that I've seen it, I can't help but Wonder is that was the owl The Collector captured and sealed in the scroll.
That would explain why the owl was able to become a curse, and why it had a strong personality and was so desperate to escape. It would also explain why it was able to be inside of different people in different forms, Eda has an owl and Lilith has a raven. This entity being a trapped deity would explain a lot.
Well there is a theory that belo's brother is an ancestor to the clawthorne family due the fact that witch with belo's brother appeared to be pregnant so it's possible belo's kept an eye on clawthornes for years as they are his family

Perhaps the Collector is the puppet master, and Belos is a puppet. The day of unity would give the collector access to more things to collect. I already made an O.C that was basically Philip’s brother’s soul possessing a magic suit of armor, and a descendant of him and the Clawthorne woman born with too much magic(basically the opposite of Hunter’s condition

Whitney we are your fans. We love you and will wait for your videos. As for the theory what if Belos brother *maybe impregnated* that witch shown in one of the portraits. And probably that witch gave birth to dell’s relative, since that baby didn’t have a father and the witch baby was named after the witches maiden name clawthorne. And I know some people think we have heard the last of Luz father but I think there’s more to that, at least that’s what I think.

I hope this isn’t rude, but it’s Hollow Mind, not Hallow. (Hollow=empty, hallowed=sacred) Anyways, I’m commenting this because feels like hallow would be just as fitting. Maybe it’s sort of a pun?
On top of Hunter likely being related to the Clawthorns, I also wanna build on the fact that flapjack is most definitely the palismen of OG hunter/ Wittebro. First of all, we know that Wittebro is associated with cardinals. Second of all, we know that the Clawthorns are known for having bird themed palismen (and like look at Flapjack and then look at Del’s Palismen. They’re definitely related). Finally, no one in the current demon realm (besides Luz) knows what a flapjack is except for Belos (as shown in the Palismen Trials skit/ voice clip as shown in Dana’s Be Gay Do Witchcraft charity steam) which means that flapjacks are only a thing that exists within the human realm. And since Belos and his brother are from the human realm it makes sense that Wittebro was the one who named Flapjack.
I also have a separate theory that Hunter is going to be the person that Del chooses to continue the palismen carving trade. Del did say to Eda in Elsewhere and Elsewhen when he gave her the last Palistrim tree seed that he would go and look for someone to continue the trade because he was no longer able to do it. If hunter is related to the Clawthorns (which I think is likely true) and is subsequently adopted by them, I think that he would be the perfect person for Del to mentor. Plus, it would be a cute contrast to how he is first properly introduced in Hunting Palismen where at first he’s willing to help Belos in killing them to him to later having on of his own and then helping creating them himself.
"Most vile and conniving villain in disney history", bold statement when Frollo in the span of 5 minutes, proves to be a racist, murderer and then attempts to kill a baby... you know, considering all his other deeds in that one movie and what Belos has planned for the Boiling Isles, there really are a lot of parallels between Belos and Frollo.

Interesting and cool vid. I hope that Belos destroying the bird palisman in his mind isn’t foreshadowing Eda’s or her Dad’s palisman or Hunter’s palisman getting destroyed.
I now noticed, Dell's Palismin (idk how to spell it) has a scar over its nose/beak, like Philip's broken nose after Lilith, who did the thing he deserved, broke his nose, and then a scar, and on Flapjack (Hunter's palismin) has a scar over its eye, like Dell has... So could Dell be related to Philip? (I get it, this has been speculated but makes more sense with this evidence though).

That doesn't make sense, because then Gwendolyn told Luz that her ancestor was a human, not that her great-grandmother heard of him, plus there are two problems, that the great-grandmother knew about Philip does not mean that she had a relationship with him or his brother, she could just have heard about him in any other way, also, Gwen is a Clawthorne by marriage, as the surname is her husband Dell.
@jf k in fact we do know, Gwen said that the Clawthrons are a lineage of palisman makers and that Dell was the best of all, Gwen is the one who joined the family when she married Dell.

I like how fans theortized about how some mythical owl beast or something was going to save the isles in an action filled battle, when then the collector literally fixes EVERYTHING with his tiny finger in like 10 seconds. XD
It actually wouldn’t surprise me if Belos forced his brother’s descendants into fueling his Palisman diet.
Completely off topic to this video but very worth saying, I just gave the first two seasons a rewatch, and I had noticed that during knock knocking on hoodies door, during her dreams I noticed what looked like the collector trapping the owl beast and as it flies away burns up and falls into the water then turning into the paper for the curse.
It's funny seeing so many people talk about weird little ways that Hunter's family might be related to the Clawthorne family but nobody mentions that the Golden Guard mask is literally an owl lol

It also reinforces what Bat Queen about palisman and Flap Jack specifically that he hasnt had a home in many years and wants to feel a true connection. With the information in Hollows mind, original Hunter is the one carving the mask, I'm willing to bet he also made Belo's wooden sword. With the baby bump witch and Dell looking alot like Hunter, and two cardinals, me thinks, hand carving and whittling was a skill pass down, it may be very likely that Flap jack was either made by original Hunter, since he is shown with a cardinal, or at the very least by his child. All the women in the Clawthorne family have birds of prey, while Dell has a cardinal, a song bird and Hunter in the more recent episode was shown with 3 songbirds, cardinal, the husk of a finch, and the soul of a finch.
One thing that i dont see people making connection of to prove hunters ortet is indeed apart of the clawthorne family is how one of the older paintings depict hunters ortet aka Phillips brother carving out the same mask kid belos used. This to me is a huge giveaway that hunters ortet is indeed the human who fell in love with a witch aka one of the clawthornes. Remember how the joke of Eda was marylin and married Stanley pines as a joke? What if that was a huge foreshadowing how indeed a human fell in love with a witch, that being hunters ortet/phillips brother and a clawthorne family member. Maybe because how hunters ortet liked to carve stuff that made the later descendants of his family lineage aka the clawthorne clan be highly claimed palismen carvers since their ancestor was indeed into carving

Are we not gonna talk about the left eye on the red cardinal and her dad and the yellow (golden) cardinal and the golden guard, also the golden guards mask looks like an owl
I thought of a theory. The collector trapped edas curs in the scroll right. If the mural is important then it might be of the original beast, maybe the collector was told by belose to get rid of it. At the time the beast might have been a child so it was unable to defend its self, the collector so far seems to have the sort of attitude to leave things unfinished and then rember last minute and have to lie about it. The beast might be the only thing that can't stop the day of unity. Which is why the little abomination told rain that eda is the only way to stop the day of unity. Just a thought :)
I think well find that the original hunter had yellow eyes, as that would tie him more directly with the clawthorne line. Plus, his eyes are always scratched out in the memories and grimwalkers have those distinct red eyes so we dont know his true eyes. Also Lilith has blues eyes which would also theoretically run in the family.

yoo...what if hooty is the owl diety dippicted in the mirral he just doesn't remeber it and thats why he thinks he just met Del for the first time. this would also match what Amity said in Knock Knock Knockin On Hooty's Door. Luz said how Hooty is wierd and Amity said how house demons get like that after thousands of years. This could mean that Hooty is thousands of years old and is the owl diety but its been so long or something happened and now he looks ow he does and acts like he does because of it. But thats just a theory...an owl house theory.
Edit: Also the show is literally called the owl house and hooty is the literal owl house. He ill be very important. I just know it. This just mght be a long foreshadowed reason for it.

It is possibly that it is the other way round, that the tradition of young witches carving their own palisman as rite of passage came about after Dell was no longer able to carve them. Also, I may be just misremembering, but it seemed to me that the only palisman in the deadwardian time was the one in Philip's bag belonging to Bluetooth. Were palismen uncommon back in the day? Maybe it was Original Hunter who introduced the first palismen to the Boiling Isles?
I also conceive of the possibility that Dell is the origianl Hunter, long-lived and turned witch the same as Philip, through long term constant exposure to magic. His wife may well be refering to her husband when mentioning that she heard of humans coming to the Boiling Isles, keeping his secret, in part to protect him from the wrath of his brother who left him for dead. I see this theory as supported by Dell's palisman and Flapjack. Flapjack may well be Philip's palisman, carved by Original Hunter, before they had their falling out, designed to show if/when Hunter was in trouble so Philip could rush to his aid, just as OG Hunter's Palisman was created to show if/when Philip was in trouble so Hunter coulkd come to his aid. That is why FLapjack has Dell's scar and Dell's palisman has Belos' scar, both birds carved from the same log of Palistrum wood by the same carver.
What if Belos' brother always new the way how to get back to the human realm, but hidden it from Philip, and that's one of the reasons Philip was mad at him... What a parallel to Luz and her mom when she discovered that it was Luz's decision to stay on the BI. That would also confirm the theory about the realm-travel reliquiums being saved by Clawthrone family for the centuries.

In the flashback dell looked different his hair was orange and more wild he didn't look that much like phillip now he looks exactly like an older version of philip maybe the actual dell was kidnapped during one of his trips to the titain bc belos doesnt seem like he would ignore such an obvi threat to his plans yet he lets eda have alot of freedom doesnt punish her sister and lets them escape maybe he replaced dell with a gimwalker or a split of himself what better way to monitor ALL the clawthorns and doubles as insurance against eda in case plans go a little awry the clawthorns love each other so.. ik a crazy theory. Its interesting he got the exact same type of injury as belos tho.
What if the lock in witches hands or the lock in pelasmen's feet is the lock have to be feared(seek the key fear the lock)in the other hand in draining spell map include a hand just like a hand that looks like got coven seal it could be a lock too.As I guess fool's blood injured or cursed Philip and the one way for him to survive is consuming pelasmen's liquid.Which is similar situation to Eda's curse and elixir.Pelasmen's got their own lives than just being a wood craving (ex:-bat queen,Olwbert getting upset and leave Luz)They have Thier own emotions.So pelasmen liquid is like a sort of life source that keep Belos alive such a long time.It also keep his curse clam(as I guess curse could be the collecter himself or something he collected and released by another like owl Beast.)
Alright, spoilers for "Hollow Mind" inbound.
While Hunter and Luz are wandering the halls of his real mind, you can see a bunch of memory paintings beyond the ones they visit, many of whom depict not just Phillip, but his brother as well. From them, we learn a lot: One, from a painting with Phillip and (we'll call him Caleb, since that's what the fandom is calling him atm) with a hand extended towards them holding a purple flame, with Phillip obviously frightened and Caleb clearly fascinated. This insinuates that Caleb is much more intrigued with magic while Phillip has always been against it. Later on, you see Caleb with a female Witch silhouette implying a relationship, with Phillip glaring at them. Even later, Phillip kills Caleb with a dagger. What I gather from this is that Phillip has always despised magic, so when Caleb started having a relationship with a Witch, he snapped and killed Caleb.
So why is the relevant to the topic of Dell? Well, throughout "Elsewhere and Elsewhen", I kept noticing how much Phillip and Dell looked alike. Not in a "they might be the same person" way, just they have a similar face structure; almost a familial resemblance. But I didn't have anything to go on, so I left it at that. Until "Hollow Mind". If Caleb had a relationship with a Witch, it's possible they had children... so, what if Caleb was the beginning of the Clawthorne line?

Anyone else find it weird that Belos was so eager to get his hands on the portal when he's supposedly the one who made it? Couldn't he just make another? Maybe he wasn't really the one who made the portal-- maybe he lied.
Perhaps it was his brother, or someone else. I don't really like the idea that, if Belos created the portal, he also probably made the Owl Tower, because of the same eye symbol. I don't want the Owl House to have belonged to Belos!
Also, the brother is the one who has a bird on his shoulder in a picture we've seen-- a bird that looks like Flapjack. Maybe Philip's brother carved Flapjack and started the family tradition of palisman carving!

Also someone pointed out that Flapjack's scar mirrors Dell's and Dell's palisman scar mirrors Belos'/Philip's so it could add to the theory that they are somehow related

The Clawthorne family are descendants of Caleb Wittebane... The Owl Beast is one of Caleb's creations...or perhaps was a pet to the Lunar Titan..King's father. He was sealed away by..the whaling star. Another Collector.. The Owl beast was sealed by the whaling star's collector into the scroll later used by Lilith to bestow/curse Eda.. That collector..was sealed away at some point in time in not..multiple disks, but in the stars itself, sending them home...though they must feel lonely..since their sibling star child is trapped on this miserable planet, home of the boiling isles
What if the witch we saw in Hollow Mind was a Clawthorne, I mean that would explain a lot and she kinda looks like Eda when she was younger but also like gwen (sorry bad english 😅)

I belive that Caleb (Philips older brother, hunters clone father?) and an ancestor of Dhel got married and maybe some of them didn't have bialsacks because of their human origin so they made it family bussines to carve palisman since they have their own magic. What do you think?

i have a feeling that the owl demon that is within eda as a curse is that owl demon on the mural and that the owl could be a deity and that the clawthorns had it passdown though the ages and now eda has it in here house which she names "owl house" because she has a owl demon curse the moral hooty and now the house and the eye sometimes owls can be born with the same eye one the window that eda has in her nest room and i feel like the owl demon curse eda has in her is an actual deity that the collector made into a curse and that eda keeps having nightmares about it could be because its trying to ask her to help it escape the curse that the collector made it into but why is the owl demon deity importaint? i'll tell you the owl deity was the first and most powerful demon after the titans you see when we take a trip down memory lane we see the collector possibly in his prime wearing what could be his robe or just pjs chasing after the owl demon but if we look closer that both the owl and the collector are the only demons in sight and if we look even closer we can see that the titan corsp still has titan skin which could mean that the owl and the collector are possibly re-encarnations of the titan one made of kindness scaryness (they are the most biggest demon in the show) and protectiveness and the collector being made from anger from having the titans dog being killed by another titan dog and the titan dog could be where the titan put his sons egg in and for all we know is that the eggs of titans can hold they're children in for millennia until they hatch and i feel like the island that king was one is the titan dogs corsp and sillyness i've read that titans loved to act childish which explains why the collector is so childish and because of that he don't bet angry easily and relies on "pinky promises" to do what someone wants and can explain why he was so powerful in the first place the collector can do anything move the moon out of the eclipse mode belos put it in and he was able to make everything float with no time needed to do so means that the collector is part titan and human humans have powerful imagination and that combined with the collector after being born from the titan is the most powerful meaning that because of human imagination he was able to imagen him having more power then anything meaning that his power is just imagination so he has no power but with imagination he gained power because of the world he's in and the owl demon is just a owl that protects whom it wants but when it feels danger it runs and thus the origen of the owl demon curse
