The key here is using the zip ties to pull back both springs. I used the palm of my right hand on the foot (left side) to gain torque. I also found three ties to be enough.
Good point about the centerstand adding weight to the bike and how it's at a low center of gravity. Also, nice tip on using the zip ties to stretch the springs. I like how you guys alternated the spring hooks to the bracket.
Thank you for the informative video. As a non native english speaker i like the way you talk, very easy to understand. Honda oem parts are expensives. I just instaled HEED crash bars and skid plates. ( brand from Poland, bought from Ebay Heed shop). Fast delivery to France and well packaged. Seem to be good quality. Now i am looking for a central stand.
Awesome video, just installed my OEM gen 2 center stand on my bike, no wobble. Zip tie option worked great, used three ties and channel lock for leverage.
@@IdealBike You probably have one of the new ones. I ordered mine in March and received it in April (long before i had the motorcycle) then they were unavailable for a few months while they fixed this issue, but I still have the bad one. I just need to wait for honda to warranty it.
I think that 20 N*m is too much for the 6 mm socket bolt. According to the center stand installation manual for the NC700X, that is similar, the tightening torque has to be 12 N*m.
@deanr125 Monday need to have the feedback, most likely at the end of the next week. I have too much informations and I'd like to include them. Thanks once again for your patience 👍
@mmihai87 They were not available so soon as the OEM and the Rally Pack with Quickshifter included was a nice option, considering that I recieved some discount from the dealer. Now I wait for the Hepco-becker upper Crash Bars and returned the OEM crash Bar
It is tragic to order as an accessory ,something that already exists in other bikes..I have a cb500x of 2018 and i have spend more than 1800€ equipping the bike..

You are my man. You saved me with the idea for spring tensioning. I was scratching my head how to do it.
Hehe
Love the zip tie spring puller and your precise instructions. Worked great!
Thanks, it was brilliant idea from my mechanic 💡
the smaller spring should normally be inside the bigger one no?
I think we can make a little hole in the stand axle to install a greasing point in order to lube it from time to time with a grease pump.

That's great, thanks for the comment 👍
Got mine installed today. Great video.
Thanks, glad to hear 👍
Thanks!
Thank you very much 🙏👍
So how does yours fit? my bike wobbles from left to right when its on the main stand (OEM one) and my dealer made a warranty claim, is yours stable?
Hello Kevin, it's very stable, I checked it many times after the rides.

@Kevin97587 sorry to hear that, especially because the Main Stand it's somehow a must have for any bike
I suggest to add lock tite on the 5 mm screw
Thanks, I will consider 👍

Thank you ! was very useful ! 👍
Thank you
Ottimo video!
Just recived my honda center stand. Its terrible, has rust on almost every weld spots.
Am returning it
You were unlucky sorry to hear that. Mine was perfect. I was lucky I suppose
Very good tutorial, thanks 😎
You are welcome 👍
@Ideal Bike: When comes the 30.000 km Vision video online please? 😀 I’m waiting on that video haha 😁😁🤪
Monday I have the 36,000 Km revision, need to include that also in the review, greetings !
@@IdealBike So monday the video will be online? Or when?

The good thing is that the weight is down low.
That was my consolation. Anyway 2,3 Kg more are not easy to digest, but let's face it comes with some benefits
@IdealBike Definitely huge benefits, one question , why didn't you go with some hepco and be becker accesories ?

Yes you're right, approximately 2000 EUR more or less for accessories

Nice trick with zip ties. 2.3 kg isn't much👍 but 12.5kg and more with crash bars 🐘you will end up on Africa's Twin's or V-Strom's 800 weight.
That's right. That's why I've gave up to the OEM crash Bar and I've chosen the Hepco-becker upper bars.
yeah but remember if you add these items to the vstrom 800 it will be heaver as well.
@chrisdowney9888 true
I had a 2020 Africa Twin base model. With brash bars and a skid plate the AT is very top heavy. The TransAlp isn't bad at all.
