I have the same tankguards, engine guards and engine plate from Hepco and Becker. They're looking really good in black too on the tri colore verion.. :)
Great video, very well done. The HB are a nice choice as they do look nice, but practically due to cost ands coverage I went with the Heed's. I'm waiting for a plastic skid plate to save on weight as my bike won't see anything but pavement and logging roads.
Very good but you don’t have to use the spacers when mounting on the plate of the engine guard, according to the manufacturer’s instructions. That’s the reason you find the bolt still too short.
They say : Spacers are not required when mounting with the engine guard, correct. Still I find them usefull due to the fact that they provide wider protection when with 1cm more. I'll check it out and ask one more time when reinstalling everything it's scratched from the crash on the left. Thanks for the comment, greetings!
The spacers aren't necessary when installing the tank guard after the engine guard, as the manual instructs. In theory, adding the spaces in addition to the engine guard pushes the tank guard out and creates a tiny angle in the mounting points. In practice, it's hard to tell if this creates a weaker connection of the guard to the mounting points. Best to stick to the instructions in the manual. Beautiful bike, and thanks for all the detailed videos! 🙂
Yes, you can use the genuine Honda connectors which are located behind the fenders, on each side. This way you will be able to use the "function" button of the bike to switch On your lights.
Why did you replace the upper Crash bars and why did you not get all the crash protection from Hepco & Becker??? They do offer a bash plate and crash bars for the Transalp....
When I first get the bike on May there where no aftermarket accessories available so I've purchased the Rally Pack from Honda and the OEM crash bars. Some parts had delayed delivery so when the crash Bar arrived I've decided to take the Hepco-becker one, the rest of the accessories where already installed on the bike. I've compared the two crash bars and Hepco-becker seems much better than OEM.
Would it be okay to only install the tank guard and the skid plate (and skip the engine guard)? I will only be riding on asphalt and light trails (no off-roading). I want to avoid unnecessary weight if possible. Thank you!
It's better skidplate plus engine guard better and skip the tank guards. The engine guards from Hepco&Becker are wider and can protect the fenders as well
These crash bars protected very well my bike, check out how on this video: th-cam.com/video/t1sAwzc_XdU/w-d-xo.html
Very detailed video, much better than the manufacturer's instructions even. Thanks!
Thanks a lot, highly appreciated your support 🙏

@@IdealBike Interesting! I did not think of skipping the tank guard. Thank you for helping us with all your experience and intelligence. Truly!
Perfect !
I see there are two holes on each side, are these for OEM fog lights mounting?
There is an adapting plate that you can use it to attach it to the tank guard and mount the OEM fog lights
@@IdealBike Ok, thanks for answer
@@IdealBike Is the housing of the OEM fog lights of metal or plastic?
@verktools731 metal with some rubber to protect from scratches
Weight difference with OEM?
About 0,3 Kg - 0,5 Kg from my measurements.
replace and the skid plate too, with h&b .the oem is awfull
Too late, i'll use the OEM for a while
@@IdealBike paint it black at least
Look great 💪😎
Indeed
If you have the skid plate you dont need the spacers… read the instructions
You're right, I've took them out last year, greetings
