    NOTE:
    After seeing the video, OUTEX felt they should only uphold 50% of their promised refund. This is because the rear worked perfectly, however, the front was leaking a 4:52 and then it became worse at 8:55. Because of using silicone, which is not part of the OUTEX kit, at 10:15 well after the multiple occurrences of the OUTEX system leaking, they will only cover the rear instalation, not the front.
    OUTEX now believes, after having re-watched the video, the reason for the leaks on the front is due to my application of the tape not being installed straight. I.E. I have installed it incorrectly.
    I am not suggesting you, the view, should or should not use outex. I am only being fully transparent with my experience with both the product and the company.

    It's been 2 weeks. The rear pressure has gone from 250 down to 240. That's normal even for a regular tubeless wheel. And in these 2 weeks, the average temperature has gone down quite a bit. (In Japan, when summer ends, it ends hard)

    Thank you for showing us the whole process, it was really informative! I want to do the conversion with 3M 4200 or 5200 on my Africa Twin, just waiting until I need to change the tires, so it’s all done at once. I would never go the stickers and tape route because there are so many cases on youtube and forums of such systems failing, so I don’t trust them. OUTEX deciding to give you only partial refund really says a lot about the brand.

      @KikoBW7 I did the 4200 seal today on my front wheel.
      Video in a week or 2.
      Yes, wait to do tire changes at the same time. Taking the same tire on and off so much I damaged the bead. No beyond repair, but just an added headache

      @@KairyuRider great, I’ve only read, but never seen a video of anyone actually applying the 4200. Looking forward to see your video and results! Best regards.

    Yep, I could see you struggle laying down both tapes on the front, it wandered all over. I've had a lot of experience with tubeless tapes on mtb rims, so I thought I knew what I was getting into with the Outex installation. What I learnt was you get one shot at getting it right with the tapes, you CANNOT reposition so you have to be extremely patient and extremely accurate. Just the right amount of tension on the tape helps, so having someone else to hold the wheel on a piece of carpet can be useful. My install took about 5hrs including deburring the nipples and cleaning rim with acetone then IPA (don't need to sand anything if the rim is super clean).
    I've done 25,000km on my kit in the last 3yrs on three sets of tyres. Holds air very well (loses 1-2psi/month), and I don't have to worry about tubes blowing out, which can be fairly disastrous.

      @HaggisPower rear is perfect.
      The front overlaps wotht he bead, maybe something special with this rim.
      But I've redone it with 3m sealer. That video comes soon, tubeless is way better

      @@KairyuRider Yes, maybe the spoke drilling is to too close to the edges of the spoke bed on the front rim...

    Maybe check all spokes are tight before applying tape. It could be that one spoke was slightly loose causing leak.

    • @KairyuRider
      @KairyuRider  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @michaelburnhill123 no it couldn't. If the edges of the tape are fitted then a loose or tight spoke won't leak. The tape wasn't sticky when I pulled it off

      The front would if not for the damaged.

      @jlvinzkennyduran7878 there ate tubless rims now for transalp but that's 25x the cost of this. Seem my 3m video for a better tubless idea
