"He slide tackled its not okay!!!" definetly a mom who doesn't know anything about the sport. Hes clearly playing the ball and has no harm intentions but its always the parents that are so overprotective.
Aside from their misbehavior, these dumb parents were just plain wrong about what they were complaining about. That was a perfectly legal play. Just because your kid falls down doesn’t mean the ref needs to make a call in his favor.
My kid's local league banned slide tackling, heading, and even JUMPING (for the girls), to "protect" them. Meanwhile on the next field, boys the same age are smashing each other wearing helmets and shoulder pads, and girls are doing flips and being thrown about in the air. Make it make sense.
Did scorekeeping for a kids hockey tournament. The 40-year-old coach was refusing to put his team on the ice because he thought the ref was responsible for his team being outshot 30-6 and outscored 5-0. I looked over at the 9-year-old kid in the penalty box next to me and he just sighed and said "he does this all the time, we just want to play." I felt so bad for that kid, hope he ended up with a better coach.
I coach U8s Football and see this every game, not just at the ref but parents balling at the kids, Parents at Grass routes are the biggest problem to your Childs development - I dont care if we Win, Loose or Draw as long as when the kids come off and they enjoyed themselves and had fun playing a game of football with there friends - the comment from the Ref, its not about you its about them is 100% Spot on! Well handled Ref ⭐⭐
I coached 21 years from U6 through U14 and also saw and heard things like this. Some parents think that everytime someone falls and hits the ground a penalty should be called, and as you know that's not always the case!
If you think that a coach, referee, professor, or teacher isn't doing something right, you should address it with them privately, one-on-one, rather than in front of the children. The worst possible thing is to do that in front of the children.
Something like this happened to me I was playing sunday league when and their coach was swearing to the ref and to our players. The ref was not even the one to stop the game their coach was the one he said to his team to just get of the pitch and go home just because he thought the ref made the wrong decision. The game then ended deep in the second half.
Honestly, I usually side with the ref, the parents are often out of line. But why on earth does the ref have to wave fingers and blow kisses at the woman leaving? 0:45 the situation was defused, the woman was ordered off the pitch and was leaving. Problem solved. Then right after he starts waving fingers at her leaving far away and blows a mocking kiss at her. Problem reimported. That was a completely avoidable outcome.
My brother and dad ref and they’ve talked to me about returning to it, I quit years ago. Clips like this are exactly why I have no interest in going back to it
I witnessed something at a baseball game that really gave me flashbacks, and this video does it too. I had a mom that would not shut up at games. She would talk to me through the fence with advice, not just cheer. Sat next to this mom of a collegiate summer league player who was both ignorant and annoying. Example, he starts an at bat watching an outside changeup for a strike. She goes SWING THE BAT! FASTBALL RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE, EVERY. TIME. YOU KNOW THIS! Lady doesn’t know what she’s watching or how difficult it is mentally, and she never will. But she’ll damn well make sure her son is successful by yelling at him.
This all starts because the The parents don’t know what they’re talking about. Referee handled it just fine. These people are so entitled and they’re so embarrassing to their children.
Really? Do you know the rules at this level? Except he didn't keep his cool. His actions caused an escalation of the events not de-escalation. He should have never said anything to the parents and just continued to ref.
The ref was in the right up until the end. Even if she blew a kiss, you absolutely cannot blow one back. And then he ended the game bc the husband didn't like that. The situation was handled, and then the ref needlessly escalated it.
Maybe, we don’t know what had already transpired before this moment. If he’s already asked them to be quiet, and he’s already warned them a second time, then it’s absolutely time to send them from the field.

I’m a referee myself, and while I can certainly sympathize with him here, this never should’ve happened. He could’ve just let play continue, ignoring the parents. Parents need to clap for goals and saves and not say anything else to anyone at games....parents who behave like this should be ashamed of themselves....and if they think they can do a better job, put in the time to get qualified and let some ppl yell at you!!!
Parents ruin kids sports!!!!! Plain and simple.
Everything about this video makes sense given where humanity’s at.
He was doing really well, right before the kiss thing.
"He slide tackled its not okay!!!" definetly a mom who doesn't know anything about the sport. Hes clearly playing the ball and has no harm intentions but its always the parents that are so overprotective.
There is no football match without a ref:just a kick about.
Aside from their misbehavior, these dumb parents were just plain wrong about what they were complaining about. That was a perfectly legal play. Just because your kid falls down doesn’t mean the ref needs to make a call in his favor.
Two guys, two narcissistic injuries, two wounded heroes playing tough guys, all at a kids soccer game.
Who got injured? 😂
What the hell are you actually going on about?
what are you talking about
@@DB-zg8hy ohhh thought u meant the kids
It’s called football
great parent showing a great example for the kids to grow up to.
Number 14 on yellow is no doubt the parents' kid.
100%
My kid's local league banned slide tackling, heading, and even JUMPING (for the girls), to "protect" them. Meanwhile on the next field, boys the same age are smashing each other wearing helmets and shoulder pads, and girls are doing flips and being thrown about in the air.
Make it make sense.
Soccer players wear less protective gear than football players. As for cheerleading, I have no explanation.
It’s always the ones not playing that have the biggest opinions …
I feel so sorry for their child on the pitch. His grandfather needs to have a word with his son.
The kids don't seem that surprised when he calls the game. I don't think this is the first time this sort of thing has happened.
He’s happy he won
Did scorekeeping for a kids hockey tournament. The 40-year-old coach was refusing to put his team on the ice because he thought the ref was responsible for his team being outshot 30-6 and outscored 5-0. I looked over at the 9-year-old kid in the penalty box next to me and he just sighed and said "he does this all the time, we just want to play." I felt so bad for that kid, hope he ended up with a better coach.
Crazy how Lamine Yamal put his hands up and started celebrating when ref blew whistle
That's my wife?. Well get a bloody divorce then.
Can't imagine watching their parents act this way is very fun for the kids.
At 0:07, did it appear that either the kid or someone drop the f-bomb?
I appreciated the ref the first half of the film, despised him the second half. What a character arc
Something like this happened to me I was playing sunday league when and their coach was swearing to the ref and to our players. The ref was not even the one to stop the game their coach was the one he said to his team to just get of the pitch and go home just because he thought the ref made the wrong decision. The game then ended deep in the second half.
“Scooby Doo’s less confused than you…”!
Generally agree, but we couldn't see what the couple did!
Spot on ! But also agreee with Kevin also
parents there sticking the middle finger at him he blew a kiss back
😮
😂😂it's hilarious because she thought running her mouth would change anything 😂I love the part where he says "I love you to"
If you don't like or can watch your child getting hit, don't go and watch your child in a contact sport...
Parents are worse than the kids... Great role models 😮
He was acting so tough😂(like he would have done anything)😂
american parents at football matches is peak
You should see them at gridiron games.
@@lothartheterrible you mean football? 😝
My brother and dad ref and they’ve talked to me about returning to it, I quit years ago. Clips like this are exactly why I have no interest in going back to it
they need to just let the kids play
Same here in Germany: if parents shout, swear or even coach they get a warning. Do it again and you are sent off. Not going home: game over.
As a youth soccer coach, i fully support this refs handling of this. Some parents are so toxic. Why sign them up if you're going to behave that way?
Slide tackles are banned in the US at the U-13 and under levels....ALSO Playing the ball from the ground is too and should have been a penalty indirect kick...which is what they were pointing out to the ref when the ref started to get his ego bruised for being called out.
@@Plasmastorm73_n5evv no the hell they are not...
@@Plasmastorm73_n5evv Go home Karen
@@Plasmastorm73_n5evv wrong on both points, which makes my point. Your understanding of Laws of the Game is like that of most soccer parents and is a major reason why we continue to have problems
@@Plasmastorm73_n5evvi’m u13 in the us and they allow slide tackles
Dude dropping f-bombs telling the ref to watch his mouth? You couldn't make this up.
ok but the ref didn't have to blow a kiss
Yeah surprised that not many comments here are pointing that out. Ref blowing a kiss to the Karen as she was leaving was dumb and unprofessional.
@@gamblemadman Maybe but we can't see if they did anything towards him as well. Him blowing a kiss was alot better then shouting curses back in front of kids like they did.
@@jonathangille8643 He said something that sounded like she blew him a kiss and he was responding to that.
@@Doomclowndoesnt mean the ref should do it
nah, that's just funny
"he slide tackled him thats not okay", thats what they say to a completely fair well timed non violent slide tackle, if you can even call it a slide tackle
Former ref here. Glad he told parents to calm down, we all loved “it’s about them”, BUT he lost authority by engaging further and blowing the kiss.
I'm also a USSF Ref and every time I had parents like this I always told them "imagine is your son/daughter in my spot, would you be ok with someone talking to them like you're doing to me?" And they shut up real fast. Parents are the worse example for kids most of the time
Parents were idiots but the red wasn't much better.
Ref was wrong to lol, along with parents
Most mature people here were the kids
parents with failed hopes and dreams living vicariously through their children. pathetic.
I love how he got so offended after shouting abuse at a ref in an U16 match 😂
Yeah that’s not U16…
U13 or U10... no way this was U16
abuse is saying. "not going to call that huh?" ref is soft af
What abuse did he shout?
The husband is yelling "that's my F wife"
No men will make a comment like that if he loves and respect his wife.
Great job
There was no call to make
And stop finding fault with what the ref did - he likely had a gutful of these imbeciles all game he didn’t do anything wrong.
Dad: this is not about you
Ref:no, it’s not about you it’s about them!
Dad: exactly.
Bro proved the refs point
Ref is a bit of princess to be fair
Everyone has a breaking point. Clearly this was his.
They aren't professional referees -they are humans who will react.
And it's just kids playing.
Not really. He got soft at the end but those parents were annoying af.
Not really, u have parents bitching about a clean play, I’d probably do the same. In fact I may even ask these guys do they really understand this sport.
If it’s all about the kids like the ref said, why did he cancel the game so easily.
It was all about the ref.
The parents were clowns though, you get that.
Who knew that Karen's came in pairs? I bet their outfits matched. It was adorable hearing the male Karen trying so hard to be a man.
Mad respect to the ref for keeping his cool
As a ref (and all love to the ref), he could have handled the situation more professionally. Not saying he should have to put up with that, but that’s not how you handle it
@@X-Calibur101 ye it was all good for me until he blew the kiss. kinda weird
@@mrerectrobot The woman blew her kid a kiss as she left and the ref took it as she was blowing him a kiss...unprofessional as hell though.
Except he didn't keep his cool. His actions caused an escalation of the events not de-escalation. He should have never said anything to the parents and just continued to ref.
he didnt keep his cool at all. he should have never engaged with the parents to begin with
Lifes too short to get sucked into some family drama.
The ref was in the right up until the end. Even if she blew a kiss, you absolutely cannot blow one back. And then he ended the game bc the husband didn't like that. The situation was handled, and then the ref needlessly escalated it.
Parents out of line, Ref out of line. Are there any reasonable adults here ?
That kind of parents are one big reason why children dont want to go to practice or do any athletics
the husband and wife are truly made for each other. i hope the do a better job raising their boy into a proper man.
The Ref handled it TERRIBLY!
Maybe, we don’t know what had already transpired before this moment. If he’s already asked them to be quiet, and he’s already warned them a second time, then it’s absolutely time to send them from the field.
Those two parents are all class. I bet their kid doesn’t play anymore, just so they aren’t embarrassed by their own parents. Sad.
0:47 hey that's my wife don't you dare, lol💋💋
the way the ref did that though🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
No ref violated them💀
Charming. I am sure they are raising a fine young man.
Always the yanks. They have too much to say. It’s a kids game FFS
Bruh acting like they're not stabbing each other and stomping skulls into concrete in European games 💀 plenty of videos of that crap on the internet. But no, it's only the yanks who behave bad IG
Youre telling me people in europe dont act this way? At least we dont throw bananas at the black players you freak

Top refereeing there, he kept calm and controlled the situation well. Hope Karen and Kevin were banned from attending all future matches, their son was probably so embarrassed.
Uh no. Ref was just as bad as the parents.
the end not so top tier ...😂
I was at my little sister’s club soccer game(she’s 13) and several of her teammates parents got upset at a no call on the other team. One girl on the other team gave them a goofy look, and then they started arguing with her. The little girl finally shut them down by saying “you’re literally arguing with a kid, Jesus” and there was no more arguing after that. I laughed my ass off the whole time
I’m a referee myself, and while I can certainly sympathize with him here, this never should’ve happened. He could’ve just let play continue, ignoring the parents. His next step would be to have the coaches deal with the unruly spectators, including removing people if necessary. This was, in my opinion, absolutely the wrong way to handle it.
The few times I've seen a coach called to tell a parent the rules, that's sufficient.
great way to set an example to all those kids were just trying to enjoy some friendly competitive sports. I think the ref could've maybe notched it down a level too but whatever
One has to appreciate that the game of real football, ‘soccer,’ is still an alien concept to Americans.
I wouldn’t say that, we’ve had soccer for a long time and it’s obviously just picking up steam here in the states recently but these are just idiot parents making idiotic comments
Oh give me a break with that 😒
Ref had an opportunity to set an example on camera.
Almost managed it. Almost.
0:52 that’s my f…. wife 🤣🤔🤪🤪🤪
Who, with self-respect, will admit that it is their wife who stands there and pretends to be insane. ;-)
I’ve done ref voluntarily when my boys were younger and have heard similar, no person should endure such treatment
