I think both parties are in the wrong here. Doesn’t matter how much the parents are taunting you, your job as a referee is to deescalate the situation, not continue provoking it.
If you think that a coach, referee, professor, or teacher isn't doing something right, you should address it with them privately, one-on-one, rather than in front of the children. The worst possible thing is to do that in front of the children.
I was all on the ref's side up until the point he starting sarcastically waving and blowing kisses. That's not good refereeing. Don't raise to the bait, as that makes you as bad as them.
I remember when I used to take my kids, son and daughter, to football matches on Sundays. The behaviour of some of the parents was absolutely shocking and sometimes very nasty. It could be swearing at the ref, the manager or their own kids. I saw plenty of aggressive and threatening behaviour too, and on more than one occasion the ref said they would call the game off. Apart from setting a really bad example to the kids, it spoilt the enjoyment of what should be a fun activity. Just kids football not Millwall vs West Ham! I'm glad my two have grown up and no longer play.
The ref handled it well, at my game where it ended early was because one of the parents from the other team told their child to basically knock them down then the parent of the child being talked about heard that then the arguments started which ignited other fights with players which made parents yelling at other kids and my teammate even was spitting on the parent. What probably didn’t make it better was because the ref was a woman, they thought they could get away with doing it. My teammate who spit got in argument with the ref that wasn’t about the spitting because the ref didn’t see that, but he was red carded with the game ending early.
The words said have no value, that the parents give off this vibe to their kids is the issue. How it is ever acceptable to act like this is the key. Whether we like it or not, children learn boundaries from adults around them and if they think this an acceptable attitude then they will take it forward with them and it will get worse
Same thing happened in my game, the coach of the other team was screaming and cursing. The ref gave him a red card and ended the match shortly, we won 3rd place that day!
great way to set an example to all those kids were just trying to enjoy some friendly competitive sports. I think the ref could've maybe notched it down a level too but whatever
Ref should never ask anyone on the sidelines to leave. Ref should approach the coaches and/or team official(s) and ask them to control their spectator(s) before a card is issued to the coach. If someone needs to leave have the coach do it. Parents will rarely argue with their player’s coach. Clubs and their coaches are responsible for their parents and spectators.
"he slide tackled him thats not okay", thats what they say to a completely fair well timed non violent slide tackle, if you can even call it a slide tackle
Poor kids. What douchebag parents.
The ref was just as bad.. what a di**

Why wasn’t he mad at his wife for blowing another man a kiss 💋?

Parents are a curse.
"You're not gonna call that, ok that's cool............" Dipshit needs to learn the game.
That's a first I must say, getting offended over a blown kiss. Never seen that in person :D
No slide tackles. Parents were right to protest. Ref had more sassy attitude than any of the mothers there
“Scooby Doo’s less confused than you…”!
Battel simp woke up😂
“He slide tackled that’s not ok!” Dumbest shit I’ve heard
Ref was a wanker
Clearly the parents no one likes
Scumbags parents at their best

parents with failed hopes and dreams living vicariously through their children. pathetic.
The tackle was fair, nobody was hurt, the parents are ridiculous, the ref could have handled it better.
We get parents like this in the uk. Their kids pick up this disrespect also.
When some fool says she is his fkn wife to the world, it is not going to last
Same here in Germany: if parents shout, swear or even coach they get a warning. Do it again and you are sent off. Not going home: game over.
The parent is just a big mouth and probably causes issues where ever he goes
Parents at football that act like that are fooking the pits of the earth. Just don't turn up and get your kid into ballet dancing

great parent showing a great example for the kids to grow up to.
"hey dont talk like that to my wife... Only im allowed to abuse her!"
Parents out of line are a shame
yo if someone made a damn kissing noise at my wife he'd get a kiss alright.
Americans. Bloody cringey. Poor ref having to deal with brain dead people
those parents are so annoying esspeciially the moms
Message to parents - When your children mature and end up in prison take a good look in the mirror.

I appreciated the ref the first half of the film, despised him the second half. What a character arc
That was Villarreal vs Nebraska?

Why is your wife blowing kisses to other men lol
There was no foul in this clip. This game in physical ppl need to understand that
Ref had his coldest moment
Bet loudmouth stormed off to watch some Trump videos, he sounds like the type

Parents and the ref behaved like children. Their behavior is defensible.
