YES! I have been saying he is Ricky Rubio 2.0. He is a serviceable PG, but he is not a superstar. Even Mike Conley can take over a game offensively if you need him too and he has never made an all-star team. Conley averaged 25 ppg in the playoffs against the Spurs last year, there is nothing in Lonzo game that says he can do that. People compared him to Magic, but people forget Magic was putting up 20-23 ppg in his prime too. You need your PG to be able to take over offensively when nobody can score, and the Lakers were throwing up bricks last night and they couldn't look to him to stop the bleeding cause he wanted no part in taking over that game. It was one game sure, but watching him at UCLA and now I do not see a player that can run the offense and take it over offensively either by taking it to the hole or shooting the lights out. And we all know he is not taking it over defensively.
You put the a sword to the fire to improve its quality and strength for battle. For Lonzo, it's a good thing for him to be tested this early. It helps identify his weak spots and improve on them. I'm sure he will adjust and improve and it may take all or most of the season for him to do so. Best for him to become a standout prime contender based on his OWN merits not on the hot air from his old man's mouth.

YES! I have been saying he is Ricky Rubio 2.0. He is a serviceable PG, but he is not a superstar. Even Mike Conley can take over a game offensively if you need him too and he has never made an all-star team. Conley averaged 25 ppg in the playoffs against the Spurs last year, there is nothing in Lonzo game that says he can do that. People compared him to Magic, but people forget Magic was putting up 20-23 ppg in his prime too. You need your PG to be able to take over offensively when nobody can score, and the Lakers were throwing up bricks last night and they couldn't look to him to stop the bleeding cause he wanted no part in taking over that game. It was one game sure, but watching him at UCLA and now I do not see a player that can run the offense and take it over offensively either by taking it to the hole or shooting the lights out. And we all know he is not taking it over defensively.

I'm sure he will adjust and improve and it may take all or most of the season for him to do so. Best for him to become a standout prime contender based on his OWN merits not on the hot air from his old man's mouth.
