Hey, I'm not going to install it but I just wanted to say that I really appreciate your work. In a couple of weeks I will be getting exactly the same Golf with this engine and your video with explanation why this engine is not that bad really helped me a lot not to worry that this engine will die quickly. Greetings from Poland
Yeah the engine isn't bad. It's just really delicate. Just always do a cold start, regular oil changes and 95 octane or higher fuel and it'll be completely fine
What sort of mpg does yours give you? Mine give me roughly 20 or under local short drives but can slowly pickup. Getting roughly 120miles or so to half a tank.
on short journeys (under 25 mins in rush hr) i get around 27 mpg however if it not rush hr i can get up to 37 mpg with no traffic and 46 on the motorway
Naa fuel makes a big enough difference aswell bro. I use standard shell fuel try using that for abt 2-3 tanks and see what you get and if it's still not high enough then use shell still but buy some injector cleaner either do that or run a few tanks of v power as that has the cleaning properties in it
As a daily I'd say it's great. It's go good mpg and it also has enough power to still be a fun to drive. And aslong as you treat the engine well then it won't have any issues.
Hey can you make an updated parts list on your air filter setup I can’t seem to find the thing that you connected to your breather pipe in the original video
@@Fizzy.g i been watching your videos and love the work you do.. i wanted to know something, is it possible to push more power out of mk7 1.4tsi. It has 122 bhp stock, done stage 1, now 155hp. What performance parts do i need to have for stage 2?
@@Fizzy.g i have checked their website there is nothing much out there on their website. Its mainly for mk6, as mines mk7 1.4tsi, i cant find much performance parts for my car.
Yeahh that's crazy fam I'm gonna check it tomorrow morning 😂😂. Idk from what I know it should be fine unless it's hitting mad temps but idk then I'll just keep an eye on it
Pro: more power, higher spec interior Cons: is only good when it's serviced properly it's whole lifetime, always needs to run on 98+ octane fuel (vpower), timing chain has to be done if it's rattling as it can cause engine failure. Always needs to be cold started.
The whole block and internals are the same so mpg will be really similar your looking at abt 37 mpg with average city driving but not rush he and in heavy traffic abt 32 and motorway like 45+
If you have the stock intake you probably won't get any noise or it won't be loud enough to hear. Also this isnt a dump valve so you won't hear it a huge amount but you should still be able to hear the air getting recirculated back into the system. If you haven't got an intake then try that step next. That should help you hear the woosh sound alot more
@@Fizzy.g cool mate. Om dating for ny filter kit ro arrive. Also the small spring that was in the bog, got lost on the ground, so i used the oem one, just like in the video. Does that effekt the result?
Anti matching bar? And naa bro it's good for the turbo I never recommend products if they cause any harm to the car. This is still a diverter valve so it still relieves any pressure it just lets out the minimum amount so there's still no harm to the turbo but there's alot less lag as enough air is still stored to be on boost sooner
You're not supposed to get flutter. Turbo flutter is keeping the system pressurised but that puts strain on your turbo when you let off so it slowly damages the turbo. The sound is the pressurised air getting "chopped" by the turbo as it's trying to spin. The whole point in the DV is so that it releases the pressure and the DV+ does it so it keeps as much air in the the intercooler and releases the minimal amount needed so then you put no strain on your turbo so there's still pressure in the system so when u put your foot down there's less lag as there's still some air in the system
This diverter valve is not worth it, fucked up my turbo and my friends turbo too, its due to pushing too much boost which the turbo can’t handle. I do not recommend this
It's works off pneumatic pressure that its own system creates. The only way it can ever mess up your turbo is if your stick diverter valve that behind it isn't working correctly for example u can run now stock DV and just run the DV+ and it'll still technically work but just not as good. It's only killed ur turbo because a fault DV was used with it ygm. VW stock diverter valves are known for messing up after so long
Fw? Are you on about fwd? Also nobody cares about how fast you go it's all about the experience. I don't care if I don't with every race I just wanna enjoy the car. Also correct tuning won't put the engine at risk. Done properly it'll actually make it more reliable

So a diverter valve would be better because you have recylce boost ,
Yeah. That's why people argue diverter valves are a slight bit better than blow off valves
Do they make for mk7 1.4 tsi?
Yhyh

Tuning on FW vehicle, useless.
Useless tuning putting the engine on risk.
Any EV will outtorque it anyhow.

You don't get swoosh sound on your EV. Might go super fast, but sounds like shit.
