Okay so I wanna give some credit where credit is due. Chris Kokkinos, M.P.S.E Alena Lecorchick Andrew Scott Philip Spann These guys are members of the CRWBY sound design team. They worked on stuff that REALLY sold this episode for me. The sizzling of Ironwoods flesh, the soft leather creaking when he sets the bag in his desk, the distortion with the audio when Ruby has the Summer flashbacks. They worked on all these and it really added to the episode
@@Wowluckylolz That doesn't mean we can't recognize when someone does a particularly good job at it. Also, yes actually, some shows wouldn't have had those effects at all. They might have had a sound for the bottom of the bag hitting the desk but forgotten the leather creaking. They might not have done anything audio wise for the flashbacks (or made different choices).
"When banded together they pose a noticeable threat. But divide them, place doubts into their minds, and any semblance of power they once had will wash away"
Kind of scary thinking that Summer Rose, the one who (I BELIEVE) was the better user of Silver eyes got annihilated by Salem. I kinda wanna see that fight tbh
@heavyarms150 tbh I don't think it was that simple. Summer was special, there's no way she died "just like the others". My guess is Ozpin sent her personally to petrify Salem since she's basically a grimm too and Summer failed.
@heavyarms150 the evidence is WHO SHE IS. it's less a "in the story" kinda special but more a.. she's a special character because the creators made her one kinda thing. She isn't just "a silver eyed" person. Her name has been around since the very start of RWBY. She's the mother of the most main character of them all, constanlty mentioned, purposely never explored into detail. THAT is what makes her an obviously special person in the show and why I think the creators wouldn't just let her die the same way a ton of nameless characters have. That would take away her value in a way.
This was so fucking good! And honestly I think people will be mad with ironwood, but I'm not. Because I feel like it's somewhat team rwby's fault, what with twisting the truth and being VERY contradictory with everything they've said
Hanzi Drown i agree. at the end of the day, its either fight a battle you know you’re going to lose and lose the world, over saving what you can and trying to build up forces again, its a hard choice but its obvious which one is right
I am so glad im not the only one. I agree with you both. Its 2 bad choices. In war, you cant save everyone. Lionheart was just gonna give salem the relic. Ironwood is willing to die before she gets anything

Ironwood: insane* Seer: intense inhale* ABOUT TIME IT WAS TERRIBLE IN THERE YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT IS TO HOLD YOUR BREATH FOR LIKE 30 MINUTES INSIDE A BAG
What I love about this Volume and about the story it’s telling is that Ironwood and Team RWBY are both opposite sides of the coins and share many parallels. Due to past experiences, they both keep secrets from certain people due to not being psychic and being unable to read minds and see if the people are telling the full truth or hiding something. They’ve both made misjudgments and have made mistakes. They also do things very differently. Ironwood wants to do things the legal and “logical,” way even if it isn’t morally sound. Taking the city to space and taking supplies from Mantle for Amity might be legal and logical, but it has caused much suffering or will cause more suffering. Team RWBY are willing to do things morally sound, even if they have to break some rules. Going against Ironwood’s orders might have been against the law and lost his trust, but it convinced Robin to lay off the attacks and help Ironwood in a time of need. Ironwood is affected by tunnel vision and PTSD. This means that when he is backed into a corner, he will do anything to avoid another Beacon scenario, even if his actions will lead to it happening again. Salem does still have spies and flying Grimm. Team RWBY are affected by the deaths of others and past trauma and are undoubtedly naive. This leads to them always wanting to save everyone, even if it doesn’t seem possible. What I love about this is that no one is fully in the right. Everyone is biased, everyone is flawed, everyone is affected by past experiences. There is no perfect solution. It’s only a matter of picking your own poison. And that’s why this volume is my favorite so far.
I think you explained everything perfectly. That's why this volume is so good and compelling. I have no idea how it's going to end and I'm not too sure I'm ready
I agree with all of that. One bit I'd add is that most (not all) of the threat of the relics is not their inherent power, but Salem using them to summon the gods while humanity is still divided. That's why Ruby is (naively, small-soul-ly) doing the right thing by acting to unify people, and Ironwood's utilitarian decisions are ultimately doomed. Time is on Salem's side, unless humanity unites.
A lot of people are taking sides like Ironwood or team RWBY, but they both are in the right in a way. I am sure if the chess piece and Salem didn't show up, then maybe they could of talk something out or not lead to this and things to come. We knew that keeping secrets was going to end bad with Ironwood but he could have stop and think why they did it. Also Yang and Blake was the only ones to tell Robyn, not the whole RWBY team. This whole season builds up a huge grey area and it is great. Everyone is harping on team RWBY for being too native, but they are around the ages of 16 or 17 - 19. They are kids that got pulled into this mess trying to do what they think is best. Ironwood is doing what they was afraid of.
"How does he know?!" (Referring to Ironwood's prosthetic) I mean, everyone probably does. He fought shirtless at the fall of Beacon and I doubt its that much of a secret. As for the flying Beringels you mentioned, nobody knows about them. We haven't encountered them, so I think it might be a thing later in the season.
Can we all just take a moment to realise that the intro for this volume is basically RWBY pleading to Ironwood to put his faith in love and keep his humanity?
It's more like Ruby lying to him for no reason, being astonished that lying to him was bad, and trying to assume a position of moral superiority despite treating him like a chump just like Ozpin did. Followed by Oscar trying to convince him to do the tower plan even though Ironwood has realised this plan has no second stage.
Yep, he has one for each remaining episode this RWBY season. He had the red one last week, white this episode, black next episode and yellow for the last. Make sure to tune in to his live stream discussion of the last episode: he's promised to summon the gods back and dab on Jacques by wearing them all at once.
I honestly think Marrow is going to end up helping RWBY: he looks the most hesitant and he’s the one the rest of the Ace Ops dumps on. If I’m right, I’m gonna be all, “Betcha wish you were friends with him now!” when it happens.
See Ruby. See Weiss. See Blake. See Yang. This is why. This is why Ozpin kept his secrets. "I'm sorry, but you need to understand that my actions are backed up by *Years of Experience.* " Ironwood was another of those experiences.
@@blackfyre7900 that is incorrect. Because they already discussed Ironwood being prone over reacting. The point was to keep him in a calm state and despite that succeeding, still knowing the truth sky rocketed his anxiety. And with that anxiety came betrayal.
@@blueblade6174 in less than two weeks Blake went back to old habits and betrayed Ironwood by telling classified information to 'Mantle's champion'. And Ruby betrayed Ironwood by not telling him that the relic of knowledge still has one question. Ironwood found from his enemies that his allies were keeping information from him, what did you expect?
I'm sorry, but a character's personal opinions are not fact set by the verse. Please show me where Ironwood overreacted prior to them saying that. He was also perfectly calm about the lamp when first told. He is not some overreacted, anxiety-ridden excuse of a man, and it's irking me. RWBY are hypocrites. They are liars. Ironwood was entirely honest with them UNTIL he found out they were lying to him.
Its the 2 horrible options. You stand your ground, you risk everyone dying and this all being for nothing. You raise atlas, you save who you can and live to fight another day. There are no good options. Amd ironwood was honest with all.of them.and they started with a lie about the lamp and then went behind thier back and told robyn about the tower. He's scared and feels betrayed by team RWBY.
Agreed. I think Arnold is making the same mistake as Ironwood is - Ruby isn't Ironwood's enemy, she just isn't willing to blindly follow him. Her choices are on the side of good, even if she bucks the plan. Ironwood is too paranoid to assess her choices beyond that shallow obey/disobey view. Ironwood isn't the enemy, he's trying to stop Salem the best way he can think of. His choices are on the side of good, even when he's sacrificing people. They will only win if they can find a way to work together, despite their different philosophies. 'the enemy' is the wrong conclusion to draw here. Rrrrrrrrrrreallly well done Volume, though, to make use argue motivations so much.
Both sides are somewhat in the wrong and right. I mean Ironwood is doing what Team RWBY and crew feared, him being too paranoid. But I get Ironwood too. He is scared and like Watts said he is using his heart but it costed him his brain (or something like that in the last episode)
Honestly, Salem is a genius. Her strategy has always been the same: divide and conquer. It's one of the simplest strategies out there and it works without flaw. She knew Ironwood was paranoid and scared, she exploited his weakness to divide the group. With him and the ACE ops against RWBY and everyone else, Salem and her forces have a better chance at winning. I haven't seen the next episode, but I bet Salem was just bluffing about her coming just to send Ironwood over the edge.
@@MonkeyE00 i dont think either is correct either. Im justbsaying that there are no good options at this point. Raising atlas isnt the best but right now it seems better than standing your ground and risking everything when everyone is drained. Maybe by raising atlas you can buy some time to regroup and make a better plan. But neither side is correct
36:10 "he can completely control Penny" I'm not sure if he can. Back when he made the Project he was trusting so I'm sure he would've wanted to give her completely free will. I think he may have just said that to try to put the public's mind at ease Or who knows. Maybe he can
@@markellapapatzima7424 I see. The soundtrack is one of the best things about RWBY, I think. Especially because there are so many divisive opinions in the FNDM, but everyone pretty much unanimously agrees that the soundtracks are good
Bro honestly I don't blame Ironwood It's messed up yes and at this point he kinda is too But he's probably just fed up with everything and is doing the only thing he can think to do in his position
Umm, isn't that a good thing? To mame multiple sides to a conflict, give them valid reasons for doing what they're doing but not being perfect at the same time, so that the audience can engage and discuss each valid point and let them think for themselves and decide who's in the right and which side they agree with?
MurderofBirds, I am pretty sure that you are the back bone of the entire RWBY fandom, and I love it that you are so hype about just about everything! Keep up the great work my dude!
Logan Allard I’d be firing and Screaming the entire time until it was confirmed dead, I’d be scared until it was dead, and then after it died, I’d shoot again to be sure
LOL Cue Salem waiting to speak on the other end, sitting in her chair, an elbow on the armrest and her chin propped up by her hand, just looking at the Seer in front of her, like "Really?" With a flat expression.
I wouldn't exactly say her attempt was pathetic... Ironwood roasted everyone there... Ruby gets shut down twice in that scene! This entire situation is just pathetic overall, everything is going to shit... Them writers be playing us like a damn fiddle
Cpt. MacMellon nah he only mildly burned them. The rest is just him making dumb moves. Separation is a huge key in this show and he’s separating everyone.
That glass piece was a bluff. And Ironwood fell for it. REALLY hard. What's even worse is that the heroes actually had the advantage up until that moment...
Neither side is morally right, It's the same Moral question as that Train Dilemma, Do you Kill 1 innocent person (mantle) to save 10 others (remnant/relics)? (Kill or setup for death) But I believe ironwood is wrong
@@ProphetOfTruth_ no you dont, because its not up to you to decide who gets to die, your only right is to try and stop it all together, not have the blood of an innocent person on your hands to save others. if it helps u see my point, imagine this 1 person is a kid or a puppy or whatever life u value, mantle is full of just children and innocent people
No One except it is up to you who lives and dies because you’re the one making the decision that effects the people, you can’t stop it all together that’s the point, it’s not possible for everyone to survive, that scenario doesn’t exist. People will die, and sometimes you have to decide who and how many. Don’t look at this with childish naivety and optimism, look at it like a soldier
No One the humane thing is preventing further death, you’re not killing innocents you’re saving even more. You can’t save everyone. Innocent people are going to die regardless so you have to save as many as you can but sometimes that comes at the cost of others. That’s just reality
@@patricktorres1292 its not the outcome that i didnt like, i thoroughly enjoyed the episode (kind of). It is how it happened. I don't want to spoil anything, but the outcome of one specific situation could have a completely different result if some people had better decision making. Humans make mistakes. Even the most beloved characters aren't perfect. But for God's sake, those were some bad calls that two people made. Like, giga bad. But more on that next week.
I’ve been watching so many of your reactions that as soon as the music started playing in the episode (I’m a first member so I watched it a week ago) I could hear you saying “New Music!”
Oh yeah, besides Qrow having apparently no brain cell left and making a tremendously bad decision that kinda made me lose all respect for him, it was a good episode with good fight choreography.
3:26 "I... disagree," says Penny volume 7 finale. There is a reason why you are the only reaction channel I am subscribed to. Your reactions to RWBY are so wholeheartedly pure and honest, that it keeps reeling me back every volume. There is more to it, but that is the main reason for me atleast. :)
Remember what Tyrian said before: “If the good general comes to his senses and calls on aid from Vacuo, all may be lost for us.” Team RWBY is doing the right thing.
That's only if you're operating on the knowledge that we as the viewers have. Also, as was pointed out by someone else somewhere in this vid's comments, they're on a pretty tight timeline right now. Even IF they could magically find a way to communicate with Vacuo and ask for aid, there's absolutely no way assistance would be able to reach them on time. They're in do-or-die mode right now. Ironwood's got the 'right' idea (so far as any of them are aware... again, don't let 4th wall knowledge impair your opinions). It's just going to fail because... well... he's not the protagonist of the story. Naive as they are, team RWBY's got the plot on their side.
Same. It would be interesting if Raven was also present when Summer used it, which would explain _how_ Raven knew for certain that Salem cannot be stopped. In that moment, what they learned strengthened Summer's resolve and shook Raven to her core.
Funny enough, I think everyone forgets that even though RWBY/ORNJ are "Official Huntsmen and Huntresses" right now, they only completed 1 year of a Huntsman academy. It's basically like giving Highschool Freshmen a Highschool Diploma a couple years after the school was destroyed. They are still technically Freshmen even if they "Officially" graduated.
Ruby: "This was Cinder, I called it!" Cinder: "Yes, little Red, it's _spectacularly_ clever of you to have guessed the truth... *AFTER* I _revealed_ it."
Yo, I’ve never seen Arnold pull such a VIOLENT 180. From joyous appreciation DIRECTLY to shocked despair. Dude, it hit me hard too. Ruby’s speech rose all their hopes, and Salem’s single sentence smacked those hopes through the floor. Absolutely BRUTAL
Hello friends who haven't seen this chapter yet, just letting you guys know there may be spoilers in the comments. Have a great day everyone! God loves you😊
Yes, hopefully. I can't though, the rooster teeth website doesn't work on my windows phone so the only way I can watch it is through reaction videos. Murderofbirds is my favorite reaction channel for RWBY, his hype is EVERYTHING
J Oh my gosh, I used to have a windows phone a year or so ago! It was so quirky, and I loved it for that, but yeah, it’s functionality is way limited. I understand.
I know this is 3 years ago but holy shit I had forgotten that it was BLAKE FREAKING BELLADONNA that called Ironwood out for wanting to run away with the city of Atlas and leave Mantle to die. This ex-White Fang anti-human terrorist who had always run away from her problems her entire life is now REFUSING to run away and calling out the most powerful General on Remnant on behalf of *HUMANITY* to stand their ground. That is powerful shit.
Ruby: *IS DETERMINED* Salem: Ur mum ded. Ruby: ༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽ In all seriousness, I believe it's narrow-minded to conclude that Ironwood has just lost it, or that he's the bad guy. He's making a decision based on logic. None of his points are invalid. Team RWBY have lied to him pretty much the entire time. The only thing they've been honest with him about is the last exchange Ozma had with Djinn. It's hypocritical. I'm not 100% behind Ironwood but I'm not behind RWBY either. I think both are making errors in judgement and that saying either side is completely in the right shows a lack of understanding of the situation. I still liked the video because I love you, but I don't agree.
You can see my comment for my full point but what I wanna mention here is a point brought up in WoR. Huntsman are not tied down to any specific kingdom for their work. What this means in effect is that huntsman don’t have to just follow one kingdoms laws. They have to follow all 4 kingdoms laws. Huntsman are first and foremost essentially government agents, then public servants, then heroes. Huntsman working in atlas have to follow atlas rules. And you kind of have to agree with ironwood here. Atlas is a kingdom of science and military, both things that rely heavily on following strict rules. I knew this was going to happen when the lax “laws are just a suggestion” team RWBY went to atlas. None of them are cut out for it, and at the very least I want to see them exiled from atlas, and possibly have their many crimes made public as well so that everyone knows that whatever happens to atlas is their fault
I think Ironwood's problem here is the same as Lionheart had. Both are afraid of Salem and are going to extremes to deal with it but in different ways.
@@encyclochemeleon276 True. I rolled my eyes eyes when they said huntsmen and huntresses are never supposed to run away from a fight. It just proves that they still have this overly romanticized idea of what their goal is.
To be fair to team RWBY, and this is something I'm surprised no character in the show has brought up, Ironwood's plan was doomed to fail from the start, even before he changed the plan from using Amity to using Atlas. Remember: The plan was never to raise anything up into space, just high into the atmosphere. And even with Amity, that would've required regular shipments of Dust to keep it up there. Which means, it had to be low enough for the people keeping it up there to get to it and be able to breathe. And that same problem applies to Atlas. The Staff of Creation can only do one thing at a time, so Atlas still has to be low enough in the atmosphere for people to breathe. Which means, low enough for flying Grimm to be physically able to get to it. Which means, his plan from the very beginning was, at best, a temporary solution to only the problem of global communication. A band aid on a slit throat. And of course there's then the reason the plan was never to raise anything into space as so many people have erroneously said this volume: Dust stops working when it leaves Remnant's atmosphere. Source: World of Remnant: Dust. Unless that got retconned at some point, but as far as I know it hasn't.
He took it well in that he wasn't panicking. But with a large grim force and most likely salem on the way. Iron woods plan is definitely the smartest one.
@@mizel.i There is nothing wrong with that, in fact that is the point of the writers. They want us to be divided, just like the characters. Playing right into Salem's hands. I am more so on Ironwood's side then RWBY, but not fully. Since the show isn't called Ironwood though we are probably going to see RWBY "being in the right" which isn't a bad thing, it's just whatever.
"It's not about loyalty it's about doing what's right" - That... that's not exactly a good thing. Throwing away trust and loyalty just because you believe what you're doing is supposed to be the right thing
I love seeing how much CRWBY has grown. You can see just how much they've improved with their choreography from Tyrian vs Qrow in volume 4 to Tyrian vs Qrow now
@@DarkCircles698 Nah their writing has improved in Volumes 6 and 7. 4 and 5 may have been the weakest of RWBY's writing in my opinion, but I still loved all the Volumes.
@@DarkCircles698 I'm curious: to what "retcons and weak characterisations" are you referring? Are you partially talking about V6C3? Because I don't see the problem with that.
I ended up rewatching the last scene of this chapter again and again. I loved it. The tension rising with the music and the standoff between Ironwood and Ruby before she yeeted past him and alerted the others of his plan to declare martial law. And Ironwood's almost sorrowful "I know" as he walks away. I can only hope to create something like that in the future.
It's absolutely hilarious because Mantle was already unofficially under Martial Law. Ironwood was just going to declare it officially. It wouldn't have made a freaking difference in the end. 🤣
i noticed that it was really qrow fighting while the others were support. i love that teamwork. because qrows weapon was the only one built for close quarters combat

Ironwood's biggest weaknesses is he is firstly very predictable. And his second is he seems to assume everyone thinks and moves as he does. He cant grasp Salem's tactics, that she is willing to throw servants away left and right to set the board up. He also seems to continue to consider the grimm as nothing more than a natual hazard. He doesnt seem to get grimm attacks are likely very intentional. He gets poked and he plays right into their hands. And that she has had informants in every kingdom since they were founded. He keeps trying to fight her like a normal army. Essentially he's actually worse than lionheart. Both were bad at helping their chosen sides and ended up helping their opponents more than their allies. Ironwoods been playing into Salem's hands since beacon. And when confronted with an enemy who is outsmarting him. He spins out gets rattled. He doesnt make good fallback plans. The trap for wattz and tyrion were good but he underestimated both of them. And it cost him an arm because he went alone. Even now he acts like once the lamp is im the vault its safe. Like once winter becomes a maiden she is invulnerable. But it'll be easy for cinder to overpower a newly inherited maiden. And the second the staff is moved. Altas drops. Maybe atlas has gravity dust as a backup. But i doubt it has enough for the increased altitude ironwood's gunning for. And from that altitude. When it hits it will cause a global disaster.
Ironwood's decision shows us the sheer brutal reality of war. Numbers. They translate to reinforcements, troops deployed, avaible equipment, supplies, casualty rates and so on. At the end it all comes down to numbers. Ironwood sees that right now he has no chance against Salem and so he sees a retreat, where he suffers some casualties, as the best solution before he loses everything.
I love Salem here. In the span of like two minutes she made a little girl cry and intimidated a general, all the while looking sweet and motherly. Good going, lady. Good going.

ABOUT TIME
IT WAS TERRIBLE IN THERE
YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT IS TO HOLD YOUR BREATH FOR LIKE 30 MINUTES INSIDE A BAG
And now we can fully understand all choices Ozpin made...
Kinda makes me wonder if Ruby or Weiss will confront Blake and Yang in the future. They did go behind their backs, too.
Arnold: "So which of the Ace Ops are a traitor?"
CRWBY: "Yes."
Marrow: *Looks between everyone* Huh?
Next chapter hurts my soul
Talking Nonsense I can agree
I mean... Technically none of the Ace Ops are traitors, RWBY are. We just want the traitors to win
@@Shimagoto yes, very much so. Yes.

Can we all just take a moment to realise that the intro for this volume is basically RWBY pleading to Ironwood to put his faith in love and keep his humanity?
:o
phew
It's more like Ruby lying to him for no reason, being astonished that lying to him was bad, and trying to assume a position of moral superiority despite treating him like a chump just like Ozpin did. Followed by Oscar trying to convince him to do the tower plan even though Ironwood has realised this plan has no second stage.

Marlene Jimenez Yeah but when you look at his face at the end of the episode, when team Rwby and the Aesops are about to fight, he looks hesitant
I honestly think Marrow is going to end up helping RWBY: he looks the most hesitant and he’s the one the rest of the Ace Ops dumps on. If I’m right, I’m gonna be all, “Betcha wish you were friends with him now!” when it happens.

@@blackfyre7900 that is incorrect. Because they already discussed Ironwood being prone over reacting. The point was to keep him in a calm state and despite that succeeding, still knowing the truth sky rocketed his anxiety. And with that anxiety came betrayal.

Oscar's just getting an outfit change.

Arnold: I won’t do an intro today
Also Arnold: *does an intro*
Me: I’ll allow it.

As Batman said in the Injustice comics, it always starts with one...
No One except it is up to you who lives and dies because you’re the one making the decision that effects the people, you can’t stop it all together that’s the point, it’s not possible for everyone to survive, that scenario doesn’t exist. Team RWBY is doing the right thing.
Also, Vacuo is on the other side of the planet and they have no way to communicate.
True, but you can understand and sympathise with Ironwood's viewpoint and situation

I get that Ruby wants to save the people of Mantel, but what Ironwood is basically saying: “You can’t save everyone”

Ruby: ༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽
In all seriousness, I believe it's narrow-minded to conclude that Ironwood has just lost it, or that he's the bad guy.
@@tenofprime There's a difference, though. While Lionheart acted purely out of fear, Ironwood is using sound, albeit cold, logic.

Last episode I said Ironwood took the truth very well. I take it back.
He took it well in that he wasn't panicking. But with a large grim force and most likely salem on the way. Iron woods plan is definitely the smartest one.
If you don't know that the "heroes" of a show will win then you wouldn't be so sure that team RWBY was in the right.
@@zackrose6261 maybe ıts smartest but not right thing for me, ıdk ı cant bring myself being a side
@@janpfg2822 ı dont think we gonna see rwby right thing, and ım like you (more part of me with Ironwood). I think we will see fall of atlas
"It's not about loyalty it's about doing what's right" - That... that's not exactly a good thing. Throwing away trust and loyalty just because you believe what you're doing is supposed to be the right thing
I love seeing how much CRWBY has grown. You can see just how much they've improved with their choreography from Tyrian vs Qrow in volume 4 to Tyrian vs Qrow now
But they're writing is still shit
@@DarkCircles698 Nah their writing has improved in Volumes 6 and 7. 4 and 5 may have been the weakest of RWBY's writing in my opinion, but I still loved all the Volumes.
@@TheGreater-ScopeVillain
Improving doesn't mean its good, especially with retcons and weak characterisations
But that's just me.
"You're a beast, Ironwood, I love you to DEATH!"
Regret incoming...
i noticed that it was really qrow fighting while the others were support. i love that teamwork. because qrows weapon was the only one built for close quarters combat
Congrats on the 100K award! I only discovered you recently as I got back into RWBY. Your emotions come through so genuinely, and your commentaries are extremely enjoyable. I feel like i get to watch a series for a second time through your reactions.
Please keep doing what you're doing. Love ya bro.
Ultimately, it was Cinder who broke Ironwood, effortlessly and brutally.
And his plan may be one of the best chances they have at saving the world at large, not just Atlas.
I love Salem here. In the span of like two minutes she made a little girl cry and intimidated a general, all the while looking sweet and motherly. Good going, lady. Good going.
