I don't get the hate for Zant. He and Ghirahim are my favorites. Pretty much every criticism for Zant is the change from calm and stoic to erratic and insane. I literally see it as Zant going crazy because everything he sought after is literally coming apart in front of him.
SleightTrain no problem friend. I mean the community these days are getting bad like the sonic fanbase all because it isn't out yet and they are trying to rush it. I told them that it makes them as bad as the sonic fanbase for rushing
Zant is a very strange character, I mean one minute he's sitting calmly calling people insolent whelps then the next he's stomping on the ground like a brat and making weird noises.
+DragonQueenOfTheDead I've seen a symbolism video that said that he was mimicking how he saw Ganondorf, cold and intimidating. He wears an intimidating mask because he himself isn't intimidating, and when the mask comes off and his pent up frustrations come to a breaking point and he shows the pathetic madman he truly is.
Many people claim he should have been the only villain and Ganondorf should not have been involved because him turning out to only be a pawn of his undermines him
@@johnshea7871 Ganondorf should've just had a bigger role in the story. The Twilight Princess manga does an almost perfect job at utilizing Ganondorf and Zelda to a degree that the game just decided not to.
This honestly felt like the BEST boss battle of the whole game; the atmosphere, the music, and the characterization just made this so memorable. It is my absolute favorite part of the game.
3:26 "If there is anything you desire, then I shall desire it too." That's the same wording the Triforce used with Ganon himself in Link to the Past. Hum. Just a memory? Ganon being exploitative as usual? Or is he more 'thing' than 'human'?
I’m only here for theories about BotW 2 lol. Anyone else? 😂 I won’t spoil it but most of you guys will probably know if you’ve listened to the new trailer in reverse...
Though his voice is a bit silly and I can see why people were disappointed at this reveal, I find this final fight super intimidating, especially the last stage. Like this completely unhinged but powerful person is running at you waving twin machettes, it's hard to not feel a bit frantic at that point at the fight haha.
It's kind of cool but weird how The Wii version of this game is merely mirrored. You know, that would go hand in hand with the "Mirror of Twilight" gimmick! Like there are reflected alternate dimensions of the TP universe. The One here, on the Gamecube, and The One that is on the Wii! Shattering the magic of the mirror on either prevents travel to either.
Me: (first time seeing Zant) Ugh. That's creepy. Me: (seeing his battle) Oh. He's a 5 year old baby who knows how to use weapons, throwing a temper tantrum.
I'm still on the fence as to whether I liked the reveal of Zant being insane like that. I mean, yes it's near the end of the game and we're learning of his motivations, but I think they could have gone a different direction with it and still made it work. Maybe if Zant were the main villain and didn't turn out to be another throwaway puppet I would've liked this better.
+BrainShadow I personally loved Zant's character development. He walked around acting like he was your typical badass villain kinda guy, but then it was just all a facade. Behind his mask he was just a normal, puny, man who'd been completely corrupted by hist lust for power. I think Nintendo really did a good job at portraying just how broken someone can get being given too much power. To me, the plot twist; that he wasn't your everyday boring bad guy, but rather a gullible man being used and then tossed away, might have been the highlight of the game.
Personally I don't mind him being the throwaway puppet, it was a pretty good "twist" (Quotation marks because I kinda knew that Ganondorf was his master from the moment he appeared into the story) that he was just a tortured guy, though it shouldn't have been so on-the-nose right away. The fight was nearly perfect, though it should've themed his descent into madness a little bit more; first thing by taking the mask off afterwards, not before the fight. Honestly that killed the anticipation that his facade held throughout the game, especially after confronting him after the water temple, where him only showing his mouth was very creepy in my opinion.
I think Zant's one of the best characters that appeared in Zelda games ever alongside with Midna :D Those two are funny, strong, have quite cool bacground stories and are friggin' intelligent. And the fact that Zant mamanged to kill Ganon (or better break Demise's grudge) just makes him more of a badass ^^
After all I've seen, I now want to see a movie starring Zant, Deadpool, and Tobi from Naruto. Three crazy badass characters will make an irruption of complete insanity and nonsense! 😵😵😵
At least he could've taken his mask off after the fight. To see right away that he was just a crazy goofball out of control behind a calm and intimidating facade was kinda anticlimactic. The fight was nearly perfect though, it should've potrayed the slow collapse of that facade a liiittle bit more.
+NintendoVeteran85 Thank god. I just think that if there's one Zelda villain that should be in as a new rep ( aside from Ghirahim ), Zant would be a great choice.
The first time I faced Zant I freaked out because I was so thrown off by his insanity and his crazy movements . Died like 12 times before I finally killed him
Zant is disturbing. Did he cut his lips apart? He's clearly a knife wielding psychopathic murderer. And why is there no blood in this game. It's rated T... Ocarina of time was bloodier... They chose each other to pieces and no one bleeds. The bosses with non human blood bleed a lot. But if the character has red blood it just flashes orange... WTF...
@ericmarshall19 The points of the videos are to show every aspect of the battle. That includes how much damage a boss can deal. That is why damage is purposely taken. I have actually completed the Zant battle without taking any damage. --Birdman5589
Getting this for Christmas! So excited now! Good job señor! I've beaten Skyward Sword twice for the triforce powers but never this game T_T. This one looks so much more adventurous and has a good story line!
Zant is like the Happy Mask Salesman when he moves so fucking fast across the screen. Well... The Happy Mask Salesman was always weird and Zant was always crazy.
+sorakingdomheartsful If by they you mean Zeldapedia then the answer is probably no. These video's primary purpose is to provide boss fight information on our channels so unless the bosses change dramatically we have no need to re do them. Maybe we should do Majora's Mask 3DS bosses but we havn't even done the regular Majora's Mask Bosses. Our user base has also reduced dramatically since the golden era when these videos were uploaded. We don't really have anyone around who's willing to capture the footage anymore.
+Ben Schaerrer Things have changed since that last comment. The person that was doing the recordings in the past is starting to pick up recording again and will most likely do videos for the WiiU Zelda game.
When I first made it to zant I was like WTF DO I DO HERE O_O AHHHHH OMG AAAAAAAAAH DO I REFLECT IT? till I noticed the back ground then BAM I said maybe I use the weapons of the arena. That what I did I was OMG IT WORKED? YES YES YES :D
Did anyone else get the idea that Zant's mental state seemed to dissolve throughout the storyline? At the start of the game to the point where he nearly kills Midna and Lanyaru I found him cunning and frightening, one of the game's best villains. It wasn't until when he appeared in the Arbiter's Grounds that I got the idea that he wasn't all there. Then he went completely bonkers during the final fight. Did Ganon burn his brains out or something?
i honestly have no idea how the bosses of these dungeons get out of the dungeons despite how link has to maneuver around all these different designs and traps especially the spider how the hell did he get in there the first place.
This battle is basically Zant green screening the room.
Doug A what IS that profile picture?
It looks like. Bald mr burns?
I love how Zant's voice gets progressively more manic and crazed throughout the battle.
I don't get the hate for Zant. He and Ghirahim are my favorites. Pretty much every criticism for Zant is the change from calm and stoic to erratic and insane. I literally see it as Zant going crazy because everything he sought after is literally coming apart in front of him.
+SleightTrain plus he is hilarious and I like Zant
+NintendoVeteran85 thank you!
SleightTrain no problem friend. I mean the community these days are getting bad like the sonic fanbase all because it isn't out yet and they are trying to rush it. I told them that it makes them as bad as the sonic fanbase for rushing
+NintendoVeteran85 fuck yeah, man. They're quick to demonize something they don't fully agree with.
SleightTrain I mean heck I am in the nintendo and mlp fandom and I get a lot of hate for both regrettably :( I know how zant feels in a sense
Zant is a very strange character, I mean one minute he's sitting calmly calling people insolent whelps then the next he's stomping on the ground like a brat and making weird noises.

subtitles for zant:
NYEAA NYEAAAAA NYEEEEEAAAAAAAA!!!
YAH! HAH! YAH! HAH! YAH! HAH! YAH! HAH! YAH! HAH! YAH! HAH! YAH! HAH!
Stupid nigga!!!!
When Papyrus takes control of the Underworld.
1:32 Midna's like
"Oh shit, He fuckin lost it"
I've played this game so much that I do Zant's UAAAAAAHHHUUUUU with him whenever I play the game
OH HECK
Zant gave me nightmares as a child, i whatched this to bring back some memories, and now Zant just seems like a skrub. lol
When the battle ended, I was like: "Jeez, Zant. What are you ON?!" xD
Dorian Beard all of it
What are you on!? Cuz’ I need some.
12:55
That's the sound i want to make when i die.
lol
That made me laugh so hard. I am practicing that right now!
Something we should all strive for.
NYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!! *Ded*
True Pride is a stupid racist, don't give him satisfaction.
You bring shame to whites everywhere.
Fuck I love Zant. He's just so fuckin... crazy.
one of the best boss fights in zelda. and there are many.
+Nicholas Yonkey definately in my top 3 :3
+Nicholas Yonkey which he did more damage though.
+WizPigTactics me too. but i recommend playing twilight with inky three hearts. it makes boss fights like this more challenging
Nicholas Yonkey and more fun :)
For a game that is 11 years old, those reflection effects in the ice boss room are pretty good
for a game that is 17 years old, it's still pretty impressive to me.
12:50 Zant:"stupid...nigga!" I know that's not what he said but that don't make it less funny to me.
fucking lol dude totally sounds like that
ö Rated M
I ACTUALLY HEARD THAT, LMFAO, HE ACTUALLY SAID IT!!!
TheNintenfan64 Thanks for this comment
TheNintenfan64 Can't unhear it now...
This honestly felt like the BEST boss battle of the whole game; the atmosphere, the music, and the characterization just made this so memorable. It is my absolute favorite part of the game.
dude I hella love the music of this battle. especially the totem pole stage and the ice stage.
haloreach321 indeed, my favorite boss themes in the whole game.
7:39 GET OVER HERE!
3:26 "If there is anything you desire, then I shall desire it too." That's the same wording the Triforce used with Ganon himself in Link to the Past. Hum. Just a memory? Ganon being exploitative as usual? Or is he more 'thing' than 'human'?
Well, he's certainly not human. Humanoid, perhaps.
I’m only here for theories about BotW 2 lol. Anyone else? 😂 I won’t spoil it but most of you guys will probably know if you’ve listened to the new trailer in reverse...
😂
No you ain't mate!!
you know, the guy that makes the zelda temples, HE SHOULD AT LEAST PUT THE KEYS ON A KEYRING OR SOME SHIT!
12:51 "stupid nigga"
This is one of my all time favorite boss battles ever!!
Though his voice is a bit silly and I can see why people were disappointed at this reveal, I find this final fight super intimidating, especially the last stage. I thought those swords were called scimitars...
The face reveal didn't do it. However the over the top silliness was cool. Because of how he as earlier. It was just unexpected.
hardcoreking52 i saw it coming
earlyfairytails ! i just hate his face. He looks like a weird turkey or something
I know right?
It's kind of cool but weird how The Wii version of this game is merely mirrored.

Me: (first time seeing Zant) Ugh. That's creepy.
Me: (seeing his battle) Oh. He's a 5 year old baby who knows how to use weapons, throwing a temper tantrum.
He doesn't even know how to use weapons, all he does is use someone else's power and copy other people's fight styles.
xdan
The final portion of the battle is his unique moveset, he’s just flailing around and contorting himself so he still isn’t skilled.
14:28 Wait, when did this turn into Dig Dug?
DON'T MAKE ME GET MY KNIFE
I love this battle.
I'm still on the fence as to whether I liked the reveal of Zant being insane like that. Maybe if Zant were the main villain and didn't turn out to be another throwaway puppet I would've liked this better.
Well said!
+BrainShadow I think it simply would have been better if he was insane from the beginning.
Majora was and everybody loved them.
+BrainShadow I personally loved Zant's character development. He walked around acting like he was your typical badass villain kinda guy, but then it was just all a facade. Behind his mask he was just a normal, puny, man who'd been completely corrupted by hist lust for power. I honestly thought Zant should had been the final boss but no, we had to have Ganondrof because reasons.
Why is this game so good?
It is The Legend of Zelda, that's why.
Man, Zant's outfit is so cool
SDrew Indeed. I love his helmet. It looks like a creature sticking his tongue out.
This is my Favorite Boss Fight in the Game.
10:44
best music theme ever !
crazy strong bastard
Anyone else feel kinda bad for zant? I mean link wrecked him, he just wanted to be king, and he got poped like a balloon. And died. Twice.
Also Ganondorf only used him so he can feed off the hatred of the Twili to restore his physical body
I think Zant's one of the best characters that appeared in Zelda games ever alongside with Midna :D
Those two are funny, strong, have quite cool bacground stories and are friggin' intelligent. And the fact that Zant mamanged to kill Ganon (or better break Demise's grudge) just makes him more of a badass ^^
One of my favorite video game boss fights
He goes from a calm Walhart to Gangrel once he takes off the mask.
I think he loses it when Midna and Link know they can stop him. He knows that too, and just lets everything out to stop them.
12:56 My interpretation of Zant's death cry: PRAISE THE SUN NOOBS!
Glory to the Dayman!
Master of karate and friendship! FOR EVERYONE!
Lol
After all I've seen, I now want to see a movie starring Zant, Deadpool, and Tobi from Naruto. Three crazy badass characters will make an irruption of complete insanity and nonsense! 😵😵😵
Zant acts and sounds like a really pissed cat
11:51 Zant: WHY CANT I WIN!?!?
zant is nucking futts!
Sml reference
When he does that spin attack, I return in kind with my own and I usually tire him out and finish him off with the mortal draw.
12:51 did homeboy just rlly say nigga? 😂😂
i died laughing while beating him
Then Ganondorf wakes up. Zants music is a bit close to botw2 trailer music.... hmmm
Zant is a puppet. No wonder he fights funny. Tough boss though.
Zant should have been so much more powerful. And more...intimidating.
Ganondorf is powerful and intimidating, if Zant were like that he wouldn't be memorable.
At least he could've taken his mask off after the fight. To see right away that he was just a crazy goofball out of control behind a calm and intimidating facade was kinda anticlimactic. The fight was nearly perfect though, it should've potrayed the slow collapse of that facade a liiittle bit more.
Am the only one who voted for Zant for SSB4?
+HeliosVenomMage64 Nope :)
+NintendoVeteran85 Thank god. I just think that if there's one Zelda villain that should be in as a new rep ( aside from Ghirahim ), Zant would be a great choice.
***** Agreed!! :D
Voted like ~54 times for him.
Zoroark ゾロアーク Omg, perfect.
To me, Zant looks like a jiangshi (chinese vampire). Except for bloodsucking, Zant hops around with his arms around, giving the resemblance
yo i was terrified of Zant as a young child
Zant, played by Benedict Cumberbatch
The first time I faced Zant I freaked out because I was so thrown off by his insanity and his crazy movements . Died like 12 times before I finally killed him
Zant acts like Majin Buu.
WTF...
Zant's mouth was mutilated because his father thought he was too serious for a Zelda game.
6:31 Zoidberg reference?
+luigi50518 omg how did i not hear dat?!?
+MrPenguin DrPenguin hey it took me years to notice, i kno your pain lol
+luigi50518 lol cool sounds just like him, only futurama came out in 2014 and this came out in 2006
no it didnt....futurama is way older
MrPenguin DrPenguin how older? XD
5:27 Link-🎤to the left to the left! everybody is slashing to the left!🎤 💃💃💃
1:17 to 1:23 Is basically someone that is maniacally depressed.
Being jealous of not becoming king + making a deal with Ganon + showing violent and psychopath-like behavior = Zant.
The corpse in the BOTW 2 trailer....was that Zant?
I’m hoping you know this by now but it’s clearly Ganondorf in the trailer
Zant and Ghirahim for Super Smash bros 4 :)
@ericmarshall19 The points of the videos are to show every aspect of the battle. That includes how much damage a boss can deal. That is why damage is purposely taken. I have actually completed the Zant battle without taking any damage.

I forgot how freaking hype this theme was. Cuz GAW DAYYUUUMMM!!!
I like how through the whole game seems like a tough badass than when you meet him face to face he's crazy
Anyone here after BoTW 2 trailer
@ZeldapediaVideo You have also completed the TH-cam Troll boss battle without making any typos.
You own :O
so zant for funniest Zelda character anyone?
Groose
Cough cough Zora King cough
Have A Nice Day FUCK YEAH!!
one of my fav boss battle in Zelda. his how to fight doesn't bore me
The Section where Zant uses his swords sounds like fighting against tingle in a Power Armor xDD
anyone else think that Zant should have been the main villain instead of Ganondorf?
Flufux uh, YEAH!
Flufux No
7:51 my favorite part
which name sound at minute 13:27 ?
after zant battle
poor Zant. He died a complete nutcase
Will they do this again for the WiiU version coming out soon?

+ZeldapediaVideo Zeldamaster has already finished a let's play already I'm. ot quite there yet. but I'll check for you!
I did in fact check and it is the same fight as this version with different controls.
The underwater part kind of freaked me out tbh
What was the boss from 7:59? Like the original one.
Ook.
Oh, kk thank you :)
I'm sure you did this on purpose but wearing the boots while defending against the spinning attack greatly improves chances of not falling over.
I have a question: What happens when you use other weapons against Zant during the 4th part of the battle in the mini-boss of the Forest Temple?
I didn't know you could deflect his spin attack! O_O
how did you get your sword to sparkle?
I beat all the bosses in this game without dying even Zant within 9 minutes.
Zant reminds me of Chris Chan.
It's probably all the "NYEEEEEEEH!"
....Twilight characters will return in BotW2.
it could be they change the history a bit.
I want to see Zant again.
ZANT'S CRAZY!!!!!!
Oh, and by the way, what made Zant think shrinking himself down to the size of a fink-rat was a good idea?
Zant is like Ganondorf’s clown
When I first made it to zant I was like WTF DO I DO HERE O_O AHHHHH OMG AAAAAAAAAH DO I REFLECT IT? till I noticed the back ground then BAM I said maybe I use the weapons of the arena. That what I did I was OMG IT WORKED? YES YES YES :D
Zant went from being an annoying villain to a guy who just went crazy
aaah nostalgic memories
You can't take him seriously after this
she said that was a fraction of her power..... now imagine her full power
Yeah
I know
Thank you for the spoilers for people who haven't beaten the game. I was trying NOT to give too much away.
@brandondriftable I agree, but that's like saying Ganondorf is evil.
Did Ganon burn his brains out or something?
anyone knows the music from 7:55 ?I love that music!
BozetoTv Zant has different phases of his boss fight, go look them up.
7:55
14:17 That's why you should never do drugs kids
i honestly have no idea how the bosses of these dungeons get out of the dungeons despite how link has to maneuver around all these different designs and traps especially the spider how the hell did he get in there the first place.
Zant kinda looks like if The Joker and Harley Quinn had a baby XD lol,I just had to say that XD
why didnt he didnt use the iron boots
