Arbiter's Grounds may be one of my all time favorites. The atmosphere, the chilling thematic context, the boss/miniboss, and the item. But above all that, the dungeon's pacing is essentially perfect. AG flows really well and you're always on the move and discovering new things, great dungeon.
You definitely make some great points and who knows if I had to rank it again maybe it'd be a little higher because Arbiter's Grounds was the toughest one to place. Really great dungeon.

Snowpeak is my #1. Great video, you did a wonderful job of justifying each dungeon and why you ranked it where you did. Definitely not the order I typically see from most people, I appreciate the unique perspective!
His inconsistent pestering about linearity and then praising more linear dungeons higher is just so infuriating. I don't think he justified his placements enough if he was just going to nitpick the whole time
Linear design isn't as black and white as good or bad in my opinion. I don't think it's inconsistent to look at linear design in each dungeon and judge it on its execution. The way Goron Mines and Palace of Twilight used it was poor, while Snowpeak Ruins and the Temple of Time deserved praise in my eyes for doing something unique and different.
Good list, I like your reasoning, but it's a travesty Snowpeak is behind the Forest Temple... 9. Palace of Twilight 8. Forest Temple 7. Goron Mines 6. Temple of Time 5. Lakebed Temple 4. City in the Sky 3. Hyrule Castle 2. Arbiter's Grounds 1. Snowpeak Ruins
Love all of your videos. You have a pleasurable voice, your commentary is accurate and you have great diction and pacing in your narration, and your opinions are well justified, even though I don't always agree with everything. You deserve a lot more viewers and subscribers. Keep it up!
"I always think of this baboon and his big red ass." Your delivery for that line was sublime- you didn't break your narration at all. Well done sir! 🤣 One take for that line?
Great list, although, in my opinion, Arbiter’s grounds is a better dungeon than Lakebef temple (and has a much better boss fight), but I agree in all the rest. I’ve always hated water levels, in all gaming, but TP did create a dungeon that wasn’t a total drag. I hope you make a video on the Megaman series, now that you have mentioned it.
I personally enjoy "City in the Sky" the most simply because of the atmosphere and, especially, the music. I have always been a very musically-inclined man, and have also always had a taste for things one would consider " spooky", and CitS has BOTH of those things.
Fantastic video. I concur that TP has the best dungeons in the series. City in the Sky seems to be a little divisive, but I’m not exactly sure why. 1. City in the Sky 2. Arbiter’s Grounds 3. Snowpeak Ruins 4. Lakebed Temple 5. Forest Temple 6. Goron Mines 7. Temple of Time 8. Palace of Twilight 9. Hyrule Castle
City in the Sky goes on for far too long. I replayed all the 3D Zeldas over the past couple of years and TP's dungeons generally have the tendency to overstay their welcome. Generally, they make me feel like the experience offered by the dungeon peaks at the mini boss, and then it just keeps going. This was especially true with City in the Sky when my kids got bored and left the room. I guess I just like tightly knit dungeons that you can overcome in about 45 minutes to an hour. Just my opinion, though.
There's such a massive sense of accomplishment when you beat city in the Sky. It's basically the final dungeon before endgame. I always love walking around on that top boss platform and just looking down at everything I just conquered, with the beautiful music playing. Truly feels like you're on top of the world.
My favorite game of all time, I absolutely love Snowpeak Ruins, as someone who lives in Northern Michigan, just the road getting to the dungeon reminds me of home during the wintee, where snow can pile up, also the music from Snowpeak is fantastic in my opinion
Interesting ranking, I would rank it as such: 1. Arbiters grounds 2. Snowpeak ruins 3. Temple of time 4. Palace of twilight 5. Forest temple 6. Hyrule castle 7. City in the sky 8. Goron mines 9. Lakebed temple
This was another fantasic video! I may disagree with many of the placements on your list, but you made very compellingly points to justify why they were there. Also, Twilight Princess is best Zelda game.
i loved doing lakebed. granted i was like 23 and playing the hd version but i found it to be extremely satisfying to slowly figure out. it makes me sad when people rank it low because if you’re willing to invest patience, it’s a really awesome slow burn of learning mechanics through repeated visual cues, which is super important to me in zelda dungeons
I discovered this channel by accident and have subscribed now. You provide fantastic content and I particularly love the ranking videos such as this. You deserve more subscribers good sir. Keep up the good work!
Armogohma was amusing and fun enough, considering the temple it came at the end of. I can't conceive of a particularly more fitting boss, the use of the Dominion Rod on those huge statues as the key mechanic made sense in terms of draining its energy, and the encounter was also self-aware in terms of the silly "second phase" complete with that goofy remix of the boss theme
My ranking: 9. *Goron Mines* 8. *Lakebed Temple* 7. *Forest Temple* 6. *Palace of Twilight* 5. *Hyrule Castle* 4. *City in the Sky* 3. *Snowpeak Ruins* 2. *Temple of Time* 1. *Arbiter's Grounds* Easily the best lineup of dungeons in any Zelda game for me, and it's honestly not even close.
one thing you can do in the sky dungeon, when the wind blow, instead of the iron boots, you can use the chain ball, bc it weight a lot, and you cam walk more faster, and also attack/defensing angaist enemy, I always used that idem in that wa for that dungeon also in my third run, I somehow skipped half that dungeon bc with the double clawsjot you cam go accross the center areo to the boss one by a precise shot on the top of the panels that dont move, and Link will move on the top of it so you can go across it even if they are nit moving, but require really precise manouver
Hey man, the algorithm started feeding me your content and it’s been a true delight watching your videos. There is an obvious nostalgia kick for me reliving memories of these games from my childhood. You’re also a really good writer in that you so clearly and effectively make your arguments. Job well done. I’m subbing.
Love the video. My rankings are: 1. City in the Sky 2. Snowpeak Ruins 3. Arbiters Grounds 4. Lakebed Temple 5. Temple of Time 6. Palace of Twilight 7. Goron Mines 8. Hyrule Castle 9. Forest Temple
Twilight Princess’s dungeons should be the standard that Nintendo look toward for reference if they ever do decide to return to the classic Zelda formula on the off chance. Each one shines in its own unique way, and each feel like a daunting challenge, even if you’ve played the game more times than you can count like I have.
Perfect timing as I just beat TP for the first time. Had the Wii version as a child but was turned off by the dark tone. Never even made it to the first dungeon But in June I started a 3D Zelda marathon and just finished TPHD.
Interesting list! I like how you had many positive things to say about even about the dungeons lower on your list. I think snowpeak was my favorite, but I haven't played this game in almost 10 years 😭
Snowpeak Ruins is my personal favorite. I love how the music changes when you're in the living room/ kitchen. I just really can't think of a more perfect dungeon in a Zelda game. Also I disagree that the ball and chain is useless -- it replaces the need for bombs and can hit enemies on the way out and back. Extremely useful for Cave of Ordeals. Great game and thanks for the vid!
good video! heres my ranking: 9: palace of twilight 8: goron mines 7: hyrule castle 6: forest temple 5: temple of time 4: lakebed temple 3: arbiters grounds 2: city in the sky 1: snowpeak ruins
When I was a kid I was SCARED of dying in 3D Zelda games for some reason, but the Goron Mines made get over that fear because I died in there so much that I just grew null of the concept lmao It was very memorable for me because of that
So nice to see Lakebed Temple supremacy for once! Only reason I'd put it above City in the Sky is because the music up there actually drives me crazy, while I can chill to the Lakebed song all day long.
@MrDrBoi the instrumental itself is very atmospheric and fitting, it's just the...um, what I can only presume to be the Oocoo's doing that weird chanting intermittently is what gets me lol
Loved TP My ranking is … 9- palace of twilight 8- hyrule castle 7- Lakebed Temple 6- Forest Temple 5- Goron Mines 4- arbiters grounds 3- Snowpeak Temple 2-Temple of Time 1- City in the Sky
@@MrDrBoiI did!!!! I mostly agree with the list except for the number 1 spot , I liked the city in the sky it was fun to play through but I really didn’t like the soundtrack for that dungeon so hearing thoes high pitched sounds so often brought down the experience for me. Solid list. Hope you make more Zelda videos soon! Or some Mario content I like your perspective .
I liked watching it a lot, but I'm surprised how much different my list would've turned out. I would've had the forest temple and city in the sky WAY lower, but Goron Mines and Snow Peak Ruins way higher
I still feel bad for placing Goron Mines last lol. I stand by my choice of course, but it's such a solid dungeon it doesn't feel like it deserves to be 9th out of 9.
Any chance you'll be doing a list for Phantom Hourglass or Spirit Tracks soon? (You'll have to forgive the dungeon music, they didn’t have enough room in the cartridge for variety.)
Great video, although we disagree about a bit. Here's my list 1. Arbiter's Grounds 2. Forest Temple 3. City in the Sky 4. Hyrule Castle 5. Goron Mines 6. Palace of Twilight 7. Lakebed Temple 8. Snowpeak 9. Temple of Time
On your comment about a more memorable mini-boss than final in the goron mines, i can easily agree with that. I recently replayed the game and was confused when the sumo match wasnt the final boss of the dungeon.
I find your list pretty interesting tbh. There might have been a few things I disagreed with but your explanations could persuade anyone. My list: 9: Palace of Twilight 8: Goron Mines 7: Hyrule Castle 6: Temple of Time 5: Lakebed Temple 4: Arbiters Grounds 3: Forest Temple 2: City in the Sky 1: Snowpeak Ruins
9- hyrule castle 8- goron mines 7- palace of twilight 6- forest temple 5- temple of time 4- arbiters grounds 3- lakebed temple 2- snowpeak ruins 1- city in the sky My ultimate favorite type of dungeons is the complex ones that gaves you a headache and makes the navigation the big puzzle
I had a VERY strong feeling you were going to rank City in the Sky as #1. I personally have a love/hate relationship with it. anyway- GREAT video!!! You put a lot of work into it! Really enjoyed reliving each dungeon!
@MrDrBoi Well, when it wasn't ranked number 9, I just got this strong feeling. "this guy is totally gonna put it up for 1st place" 😂😂 You made some amazing points though. I have a new appreciation for it through your perspective!
I agree with all your arguments except one point. I love the build up with Argorok but I really don't like the battle, especially when swinging from peahat to peahat around him. My favourite one is Snowpeak, just because of the story (the dungeon itself is already really strong). That's why I kinda like that the ball and chain is mandatory for the Zant fight so we can see part of it during speedruns.
I honestly love the fight against Zant. Yes, he mimics the fights we had in the past, but THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT OF HIS CHARACTER. Zant is a pathetic follower who cannot do anything himself and barely even has an identity of his own when you finally come face to face with him. And when you finally get to the last stage of the fight, you discover his fighting style is chaotic, utterly ineffective and you get the sense that he truly couldn't have taken the throne without backstabbing and a powerful ally. Zant is nothing without others and his fight shows exactly that.
Great content. The best evidence anyone could provide that TP's dungeons are all stellar is that among fans of the game, no one's ranking is the same, and all rankings are completely based on personal preferences. My favourites are probably Arbiter's Grounds, Forest Temple and Snowpeak because of their ambiance, but ask me tomorrow and I might change my mind. I "disliked" Lakebed temple for its repetitive design because I get easily lost in it, but adore its mechanics and grandiose boss fight. I would understand why it'd be top of anyone's list. Same goes for all the dungeons, really. There really isn't a single bad one.
So totally agree. I've actually mentioned to some friends that of all the ranking videos I've done, I've never seen as many different rankings in the comments as I have for Twilight Princess. Just reaffirms that its dungeons are some of the best in the series.
Pretty wild list imo. VERY different than most other reviewers. And as someone who loves the color green and all other 3d forest temples (OOT forest temple is top 3 of all dungeons in the series for me), TP's is the worst and would be my #9 by a fairly wide margin
I’m glad to see Lakebed this high because I think it’s forgotten/underrated due to how much people love Arbiters Grounds and Snowpeak. I agree that Morpheel fight is way too easy but people would also complain about an underwater boss that was a pain in the ass. The look of the boss was so epic and such a great correction from the stupid amoeba thing in ocarina. I love City in the sky also because the music perfectly capture the sense of mystery that came with getting there via cannon and the ancient civilization. Arbiters Grounds feels way too low on the list. The backstory, ambiance, spinner, bosses, it’s the total package for a Zelda dungeon.
Its interesting to see how different people appreciate different things lol. I'm the type of person who greagly values the lore and emotions of areas, and as such The Arbiter's Grounds and The Palace of Twilight are my favorite dungeons in this game, while i admittedly despise the Lakebed Temple for how... nothing it feels. However, its always a pleasure to see how people aporeciate things differently
Like someone else said, in my opinion, Twilight Princess had the best dungeons in the entire series I loved every single one of them. My favorite though by far is the Snowpeak Ruins. There's something about exploring a remote, ruinous castle in the snowy mountains that screams 'perfect adventure'.
Thank you for pointing out the Arbiters Grounds flaws. People treat that dungeon with way to high of a regardd despite being essentially a rehash of the Ford meat temple
I love how thought-provoking and detailed your coverage of each dungeon is. Although I would heavily disagree with some of your placements, (Snowpeak Ruins and Arbiter’s Grounds are two of the best Zelda dungeons period, all games included) I do agree that old school 3D Zelda dungeons are a staple of the series that needs to return in the next game. Side note: You mentioned how Snowpeak Manor feels strange and you’re unsure as to what emotion the music is attempting to convey. My theory is that it was once the home of the Hero of Time (The Hero’s Shade), granted to him by the King of Hyrule after the conclusion of Ocarina of Time. The location and eerie feeling of isolation and loneliness would align with the sad ending to the Hero of Time’s story.
I also feel Twilight also had one of if not thee best story, with the best supporting cast of characters they feel important and do so much to make Hyrule feel lived in as well as giving them motivations to fight and support link in a more tangible way almost any other Zelda game.I enjoyed his time spent with Telma and the group pulled together to save Hyrule or even the village kids it all felt so much more personal.
I hate the lakebed temple. Every single time I do that dungeon I get stuck on the first room with the revolving stairs being turned into a waterslide. How is it, that after 100% completing the game and beating it over 10 times, that I STILL cannot remember or know what to do in that first room. I end up spending 30 or so minutes trying to get what I can from it, or to this day I will look at a guide because I just don't want to deal with it. The dungeon has my favorite room in the game, and it is massive with some pretty good puzzles thrown in for a big navigational challenge. But that first room and the lackluster bossfight at the end just kill the dungeon for me. It is not worthy of being above arbiters's grounds. In my opinion, of course.
While i highly disagree with your placement of Hyrule Castle, I’m glad you acknowledge its quality despite that. You’re a great critic! I’ll be honest, I was stumped at several points in the dungeon my first time through. Twilight princess saved its most convoluted puzzles for last, even if on the surface they are quite simple. They certainly made me feel smart when I finally figured them out!
My ranking: 9. Palace of Twilight 8. Ganon's Castle 7. Temple of Time 6. Goron Mines 5. Snowpeak Ruins 4. Lakebed Temple 3. City in the Sky 2. Forest Temple 1. Arbiter's Grounds
Nice list, don’t agree with all of your points but for sure agree that TP has the best dungeons in the series. My ranking would probably be: 9. Forest Temple 8. Goron Mines 7. Palace of Twilight 6. Hyrule Castle 5. Lakebed Temple 4. Temple of Time 3. Arbiter’s Grounds 2. Snowpeak Temple 1. City in the Sky I won’t get into my reasoning because we’d probably be here all day. Just know I’d probably rank the Forest Temple as my favorite first dungeon in a Zelda game, Hyrule Castle as my favorite final dungeon and City in the Sky is probably my favorite dungeon in the series. Also, Palace of Twilight (outside) and Lake Hylia are my happy places 😊
City in the Sky was the most memorable dungeon in the game for. Theres just something about the unnerving atmosphere and the mystery surrounding the partially destroyed city and its population.
My list goes 1. Snowpeak Ruins 2. Arbiter's Grounds 3. Lakebed Temple 4. Temple of Time 5. City in the Sky 6. Forest Temple 7. Hyrule Castle 8. Palace of Twilight 9. Goron Mines
I always thought KingK was the channel (voice, writing and editing) I enjoyed the most weighed against disagreeing with him the most, but then I found you :::,,,))) One of my friends also loves jazz and I love going to clubs with him, but then his favorite thing is blaring high-pitched horns and his least favorite thing is a long, complicated drum solo. We are sheer opposites while loving the exact same thing. (Fr tho putting ToT over Arbiter’s Grounds while making points about their executions of ideas from OoT hurt my very soul to hear lolol)
@@MrDrBoi And it’s so true with me too, I am FULL of hot-takes and if I ever had a seen-channel, I wouldn’t get respect like this more than outright hatred hahaha. Keep up the great work, dude! :::)))
Here would be my ranking, I just finished playing it again so all I am getting on my YT page is Twilight Princess videos xD 9. Goron Mines 8. Palace of Twilight 7. Hyrule Castle 6. Temple of Time 5. Forest Temple 4. Lakebed temple 3. City in the Sky 2. Arbiters Ground 1. Snowpeak Ruins
Wow I was very surprised to see Arbiter's Grounds placed so low on the list, every other video I've seen places it first or otherwise second after Snowpeak Ruins. I don't really get why someone would prefer the Forest Temple or the Temple of Time, they have more boring bosses and the latter is too linear and visually not so interesting nor immersive. For me it is also one of the best dungeons, if not the best.
I think Aribter's Grounds is a little overrated. Don't get me wrong it's still a good dungeon and I actually had it ahead of the Temple of Time at one point, but it gets a little too much hype and I think people gloss over its flaws. Definitely has my favorite boss though.
Definitely a different list than you usually see, but well reasoned and good cases made. I think dungeon design gets overlooked a lot in favor of the look and feel. Not sure it's going to throw Arbiter's and Snowpeak off as my top two spots (I personally love the Poe hunt even if it is repetitive of the Forest Temple) but I have Lakebed and City in the Sky right below them so I get it.
@@MrDrBoi I wouldn't mind if they alternated between dark and toonish art styles. Just want the linear style back just put more innovation in puzzles and combat.
Agreed that city in the sky is #1 but snowpeak ruins I would put at 2, and arbiters grounds at 3 or 4, forest temple should be lower. This is a hard list to make tho becaise theyre all so good.
To each their own! I can't stand the City in the Sky, so clearly one's preference plays a huge role! My rankings: 9. City in the Sky 8. Forest Temple 7. Goron Mines 6. Palace of Twilight 5. Hyrule Castle 4. Temple of Time 3. Lakebed Temple 2. Arbiter's Grounds 1. Snowpeak Ruins
Man i miss real dungeons. I really thought tears of the kingdom was going to bring back dungeons but i was sadly mistaken. Snowpeak has to be my favorite in this game. I just love how when you start out it doesnt even feel like a dungeon.
To be completely fair, Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild were different takes on the Zelda franchise. They focused more on exploration rather then dungeons and linearity.
TP is my fav Zelda game and the dungeons are one of the reason. When I created my own written list of fav Zelda Dungeons (before BotW and I never played SS all of the way through), TP had the most entries in it. Anyway, here's my own Ranking- 9. Palace of Twilight- This is the only dungeon I genuinely dislike. Out of ALL of the dungeons (Including BoTW), I would still rank it last because of the first part of the dungeon- going those 2 sols and those dumb hands that chase you, I hate that part. Only part of this dungeon I genuinely like is the boss battle since it's one of my favs in the game. I will give props to the atmosphere and music. It also felt like I was doing the same puzzles and that got a bit boring. 8. City in the Sky- Now, I don't think this is a bad temple by any means, but compared to the other dungeons, this one just ended up being this low because I enjoyed the others more. In some ways it reminded me of the Lakebed Temple, only in the sky. This is due to the layout, you have one main area, and 4 other areas connected to it via North, South, East, West. Not to mention you get another clawshot to form the double one. Don't get me wrong I love the double clawshot, but other dungeons just have more fun items to use for me personally. This is a common problem with the lower ranks, but it felt slow paced at times and I didn't retreading back. Still these are nickpicks, but I do look at the details. I like the puzzles and the boss is a lot of fun to face. 7. Lakebed Temple- Comparing this to the Water Temple in OOT, they're both tied honestly because their so similar in the layout, plus you get a similar item in each of them (here's the hookshot, the other is the longshot). I will say this, I enjoy the sub-boss more, definitely one of the grossest bosses in the game franchise lol. I did like the use of water bombs and having to use bomb arrows here is a treat. It has interesting puzzles, but I still get lost a bit at times because I've forgotten something. Reason why I still like this more than City in the Sky though is water aspect when it comes to unlocking puzzles. 6. Snowpeak Ruins- For me this dungeon does have my fav atmosphere and I like that the dungeon is lived in by Yeto and Yetta (they are adorable btw). And I really do like the sub boss, ball of chain, and even the final boss (and the aftermath). The puzzles are fine too. Biggest issue is the pacing, it felt so slow to me and this coming from someone that generally loves ice levels. I also didn't like that this was basically one big fetch quest too. I still like it, but it just never really grabbed me. Still the story around it is fun and that's why it's higher up. 5. Temple of Time- Hahaha, interesting how we both ranked this dungeon at #5. Omg, I loved this reinvention of the Temple of Time. I definitely wasn't expecting it and it's one of 2 times this game shocks me (the other being Midna's true identity). When I first entered the Sacred grove, I was like, "Okay no Temple of Time in this game." Man was I wrong. I really like the concept and despite this temple's linear style I did enjoy using the Dominion rod, the sub-boss and the main boss (that ending part was hilarious, I just use my ball in chain to take it out easily lol). But yeah I can't ignore just how linear the dungeon design it. I like linear dungeons, but this was too on the nose and it got boring at times. 4. Arbiter's Grounds- (Shields up) First part of this dungeon is a bit boring because it felt like a rehash from OOT's Forest Temple when you hunt down the Poes. It starts to get better after that and I gets downright fun after you get the Spinner, which is one of my fav items in the game, let alone the franchise. Dungeon also has one of my fav sub-bosses in the franchise. Final boss is fun, but it's a bit too chaotic at times for me in the beginning and in the 2nd half, I feel I have to time everything right to get a hit on him. But the Spinner and Sub-boss are why it's ranked this high. The flaws are pretty much canceled out by the pros. Also, even though this doesn't effect anything, I do prefer this to OOT's Forest Temple because there's not too much 'back and forth'. 3. Hyrule Castle- My fav final dungeon period in the franchise which leads up to my fav fight with Ganondorf. I do love that final fight with King Bulbin and the fact that he actually helps you on your progress lol. I love that hidden section of the palace (I missed it on my first playthrough, my brother found it though lol). I really like how your allies actually help out just for once, in a way expanding on what happened in WW when the Ritos save you and Telma. Only reason why it isn't higher is because I feel it drags a bit in a few places. 2. Forest Temple- Hot take, this is my fav Forest dungeon (yes even more than OOT's). This game also has my fav version of the boomerang too since I can carry bombs to enemies or obstacles lol. Love the sub-boss and I love it even better how he helps you with the dungeon boss. Only reason why it's not number 1 is because #1 just really surprised me in a number of ways. 1. Goron Mines- This is what I love about countdowns- hearing different opinions. Your reason for putting this dungeon at the bottom is one of the reasons why I love this dungeon. I will agree that the iron boots are one of the weaker items in the franchise, but this dungeon reinvented them in a way that I love. The ability to defy gravity was not something I expected and I love this mechanic! Also I generally do not like fire levels as a rule, but this and WW are big exceptions. Goron mines is actually my fav Zelda dungeon for this reason- it took something I normally dislike and made me love it. I also enjoy the boss too, he was fun to beat. Also, give me easier dungeons I can enjoy than hard ones I would tear my hair out of it. Plus when have Zelda dungeons overall been hard? There's exceptions *looking at BoTW's Hyrule Castle*, but they're still in the minority. That's just my preference though. Enjoyed this video at lot and it's interesting how some of your favs were in my lows and vice versa.
TP has been the only game ive wanted to replay again and again (now the only game next to TP is Baldur's Gate 3!) The story is amazing, i loovee midna and all the other npc's and the dark vibe and music is just ❤ Ps my fav character is Queen Rutela, shes so beautiful! Im sad you didn't see more of her ingame

Love all of your videos. You have a pleasurable voice, your commentary is accurate and you have great diction and pacing in your narration, and your opinions are well justified, even though I don't always agree with everything. You deserve a lot more viewers and subscribers. Keep it up!
Wow, thank you, I appreciate the kind words! Glad you've enjoyed thus far, the support means a lot!
I agree! Great countdown!
😄 - Yeah!
@@MrDrBoi- 😀👍
"I always think of this baboon and his big red ass." Your delivery for that line was sublime- you didn't break your narration at all. Well done sir! 🤣 One take for that line?
Haha thanks, one take!
Definitely plan on making some more Mega Man content in the future!
I personally enjoy "City in the Sky" the most simply because of the atmosphere and, especially, the music.
I have always been a very musically-inclined man, and have also always had a taste for things one would consider " spooky", and CitS has BOTH of those things.
I feel like a lot of people hate CitS's music, but I'm with you. I like it and the atmosphere and tone it provides the dungeon.
Fantastic video. I concur that TP has the best dungeons in the series.
City in the Sky seems to be a little divisive, but I’m not exactly sure why.
1. City in the Sky
2. Arbiter’s Grounds
3. Snowpeak Ruins
4. Lakebed Temple
5. Forest Temple
6. Goron Mines
7. Temple of Time
8. Palace of Twilight
9. Hyrule Castle
Thank you!
For me, City in the Sky is tedious until you get to the part with the double claw shots.
Waiting for the peahats is hell if you miss the timing on the upper levels.
Great video! Here’s my list:
1. Snowpeak Ruins
2. City in the Sky
3. Temple of Time
4. Arbiters Grounds
5. Forest Temple
6. Hyrule Castle
7. Lakebed
8. Goron Mines
9. Twilight Palace (too scary)
I love the build up to Snowpeak!
Interesting ranking, I would rank it as such:
1. Arbiters grounds
2. Snowpeak ruins
3. Temple of time
4. Palace of twilight
5. Forest temple
6. Hyrule castle
7. City in the sky
8. Goron mines
9. Lakebed temple
This was another fantasic video!
I may disagree with many of the placements on your list, but you made very compellingly points to justify why they were there.
Also, Twilight Princess is best Zelda game.
Thank you!
i loved doing lakebed. granted i was like 23 and playing the hd version but i found it to be extremely satisfying to slowly figure out. it makes me sad when people rank it low because if you’re willing to invest patience, it’s a really awesome slow burn of learning mechanics through repeated visual cues, which is super important to me in zelda dungeons
I sometimes wonder if people just hate on it because it is a water dungeon, because I agree with all your points.
I rank it lower just because even though it’s easy it’s just so long and tedious and the underwater segments still give me the heebie jeebies.
It’s my personal favorite and the only water dungeon done correctly
I discovered this channel by accident and have subscribed now. You provide fantastic content and I particularly love the ranking videos such as this. You deserve more subscribers good sir. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much!!
Snowpeak ruins is my favorite dungeon! Also the boss music is so kickass
My ranking:
9. *Goron Mines*
8. *Lakebed Temple*
7. *Forest Temple*
6. *Palace of Twilight*
5. *Hyrule Castle*
4. *City in the Sky*
3. *Snowpeak Ruins*
2. *Temple of Time*
1. *Arbiter's Grounds*
Easily the best lineup of dungeons in any Zelda game for me, and it's honestly not even close.
It's up there for sure! I go back and forth between TP and OoT usually.
one thing you can do in the sky dungeon, when the wind blow, instead of the iron boots, you can use the chain ball, bc it weight a lot, and you cam walk more faster, and also attack/defensing angaist enemy, I always used that idem in that wa for that dungeon
also in my third run, I somehow skipped half that dungeon bc with the double clawsjot you cam go accross the center areo to the boss one by a precise shot on the top of the panels that dont move, and Link will move on the top of it so you can go across it even if they are nit moving, but require really precise manouver
Hey man, the algorithm started feeding me your content and it’s been a true delight watching your videos. There is an obvious nostalgia kick for me reliving memories of these games from my childhood. You’re also a really good writer in that you so clearly and effectively make your arguments. Job well done. I’m subbing.
I appreciate that, glad you've been enjoying them! Lots more content to come!
Love the video. My rankings are:
1. City in the Sky
2. Snowpeak Ruins
3. Arbiters Grounds
4. Lakebed Temple
5. Temple of Time
6. Palace of Twilight
7. Goron Mines
8. Hyrule Castle
9. Forest Temple
This video was so good?! Your love for this game is so palpable, I need to watch more of your stuff. Subbed, keep up da great work
Thank you!!
Forest temple above abriters ground and snow peak? You’re trolling me, great vid tho fr

Never even made it to the first dungeon
But in June I started a 3D Zelda marathon and just finished TPHD.
Thanks! And you're right the ball and chain is definitely useful for the Cave of Ordeals, kind of forgot about that lol
good video! heres my ranking:
9: palace of twilight
8: goron mines
7: hyrule castle
6: forest temple
5: temple of time
4: lakebed temple
3: arbiters grounds
2: city in the sky
1: snowpeak ruins
When I was a kid I was SCARED of dying in 3D Zelda games for some reason, but the Goron Mines made get over that fear because I died in there so much that I just grew null of the concept lmao
It was very memorable for me because of that
14:23 there's a lot of spots you have to use spinner outside for heart pieces
Amazing video! Thank you so much :)
Thanks, glad you liked it!
So nice to see Lakebed Temple supremacy for once! Only reason I'd put it above City in the Sky is because the music up there actually drives me crazy, while I can chill to the Lakebed song all day long.
That's definitely a good point, even though I like City in the Sky's track it can get grating after a while lol
@MrDrBoi the instrumental itself is very atmospheric and fitting, it's just the...um, what I can only presume to be the Oocoo's doing that weird chanting intermittently is what gets me lol
Finally someone else who appreciates lakebed as much as i do definitely my favorite dungeon from twilight princess
Loved TP
My ranking is …
9- palace of twilight
8- hyrule castle
7- Lakebed Temple
6- Forest Temple
5- Goron Mines
4- arbiters grounds
3- Snowpeak Temple
2-Temple of Time
1- City in the Sky
I really love how giving you a second clawshot sound uncreative for Nintendo standards yet it work so well
Best thought out and argued Zelda lists on TH-cam.
I’ve been waiting for another Zelda video like this and on one of my favorite Zelda games! Thanks!
Hope you enjoy!
I don't have immediate plans to do those games, but I likely will in the future!
1 for me is definitely snow peak ruins, i played this game when i was 7 but omg i love the aesthetic of the temple and the lil yetis are so cute😭
Great video, although we disagree about a bit. Here's my list
1. Arbiter's Grounds
2. Forest Temple
3. City in the Sky
4. Hyrule Castle
5. Goron Mines
6. Palace of Twilight
7. Lakebed Temple
8. Snowpeak
My list:
9: Palace of Twilight
8: Goron Mines
7: Hyrule Castle
6: Temple of Time
5: Lakebed Temple
4: Arbiters Grounds
3: Forest Temple
2: City in the Sky
1: Snowpeak Ruins
9- hyrule castle
8- goron mines
7- palace of twilight
6- forest temple
5- temple of time
4- arbiters grounds
3- lakebed temple
2- snowpeak ruins
1- city in the sky
My ultimate favorite type of dungeons is the complex ones that gaves you a headache and makes the navigation the big puzzle
I had a VERY strong feeling you were going to rank City in the Sky as #1. I personally have a love/hate relationship with it. anyway- GREAT video!!! You put a lot of work into it! Really enjoyed reliving each dungeon!
Thanks a lot, glad you liked it! And I'm curious what tipped you off haha
7:16 You also revisit the miniboss for goron mines
Man I saw this mistake in editing and hoped no one would notice 🤣
lakebed boss was so hard ! i had so much struggle trying to land my hook on his tiny eye that keeps moving all the time
Great content.
Interesting, why is TP's Forest Temple so low for you? I usually don't hear people criticize that dungeon.
Twilight princess imo has the best mini bosses in the series they are all very fun to fight, good atmosphere and very memorable
You should do a video about what tool/item that you think would have made each dungeon cooler. They could be items from any of the other games as well
I just realized that getting the ball and chain in the dungeon themed around a married yeti couple is probably a somewhat intentional joke
Thank you for pointing out the Arbiters Grounds flaws. People treat that dungeon with way to high of a regardd despite being essentially a rehash of the Ford meat temple
*forest
I wanna see the Ford Meat Temple now. Sounds crazy lol
I feel like i don't see ppl talk about lakebed enough. One of the most underrated dungeons in the series for sure
I honestly wasn't a fan of City in the Sky, although that could be cuz I spent like 6 hrs in it from repeatedly getting lost 😭
It seems people actually like it? I didn't like it either
Idunno if you're ever gonna see this comment but I have decided yours is the official best voice of video game commentary - subscribing !
Thanks so much!
9) Palace of Twilight
8) Hyrule Castle
7) Goron Mines
6) Temple of Time
5) Forest Temple
4) Arbiter’s Grounds
3) Lakebed Temple
2) City in the Sky
1) Snowpeak Ruins
still one of my favorite games leaving a like
Thank you!
It's funny, City in the Sky is either hated or loved, never in the middle. Personal I can't stand it, I legit hate that dungeon so much :O
Can't stand it either!
I respect your top 3. City in the Sky is amazing and The forest Temple usually doesn’t get much love.
Thanks for the video!
My favorite game, I play it at least once a year, just about to 100% my latest Hero Mode game
Thanks! And I agree about some of its puzzles. Definitely an amazing final dungeon.
My ranking:
9. Palace of Twilight
8. Ganon's Castle
7. Temple of Time
6. Goron Mines
5. Snowpeak Ruins
4. Lakebed Temple
3. City in the Sky
2. Forest Temple
1. Arbiter's Grounds
Nice list, don’t agree with all of your points but for sure agree that TP has the best dungeons in the series. My ranking would probably be:
9. Forest Temple
8. Goron Mines
7. Palace of Twilight
6. Hyrule Castle
5. Lakebed Temple
4. Temple of Time
3. Arbiter’s Grounds
2. Snowpeak Temple
1. City in the Sky
I won’t get into my reasoning because we’d probably be here all day.
TP is most memorable to me as the closest Zelda has ever come to looking realistic. Snowpeak was one of my all time faves-- so unique for the series.
I can totally understand putting the goron mines as last and even then its still my favorite fire temple. Haha
City in the Sky was the most memorable dungeon in the game for. Theres just something about the unnerving atmosphere and the mystery surrounding the partially destroyed city and its population.
I always look forward to Snowpeak, but last time I started a new file I stopped playing in Arbiter's Grounds
You were so close to getting there too!
My list goes
1. Snowpeak Ruins
2. Arbiter's Grounds
3. Lakebed Temple
4. Temple of Time
5. City in the Sky
6. Forest Temple
7. Hyrule Castle
8. Palace of Twilight
9. Goron Mines
This is probably the best forest dungeon in the series, but i never expected it to be ranked so high.
I always thought KingK was the channel (voice, writing and editing) I enjoyed the most weighed against disagreeing with him the most, but then I found you :::,,,)))
One of my friends also loves jazz and I love going to clubs with him, but then his favorite thing is blaring high-pitched horns and his least favorite thing is a long, complicated drum solo. We are sheer opposites while loving the exact same thing.
(Fr tho putting ToT over Arbiter’s Grounds while making points about their executions of ideas from OoT hurt my very soul to hear lolol)
Haha that's how it goes sometimes. Glad you still enjoyed even if you disagreed! Also I enjoy myself some King K as well.
@@MrDrBoi And it’s so true with me too, I am FULL of hot-takes and if I ever had a seen-channel, I wouldn’t get respect like this more than outright hatred hahaha.
Keep up the great work, dude! :::)))
Here would be my ranking, I just finished playing it again so all I am getting on my YT page is Twilight Princess videos xD
9. Goron Mines
8. Palace of Twilight
7. Hyrule Castle
6. Temple of Time
5. Forest Temple
4. Lakebed temple
3. City in the Sky
2. Arbiters Ground
Not sure it's going to throw Arbiter's and Snowpeak off as my top two spots (I personally love the Poe hunt even if it is repetitive of the Forest Temple) but I have Lakebed and City in the Sky right below them so I get it.
twilight princess was peak zelda for me... Bring it back pleaseeee
Agreed, it's sad that it has been a decade and half since we've gotten a Zelda this good.
My rankings:
9. City in the Sky
8. Forest Temple
7. Goron Mines
6. Palace of Twilight
5. Hyrule Castle
4. Temple of Time
3. Lakebed Temple
2. Arbiter's Grounds
1. Snowpeak Ruins
Man i miss real dungeons. I really thought tears of the kingdom was going to bring back dungeons but i was sadly mistaken. Snowpeak has to be my favorite in this game. I just love how when you start out it doesnt even feel like a dungeon.
Yeah TotK ultimately just felt like a big tease that left me wanting real dungeons even more.
To be completely fair, Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild were different takes on the Zelda franchise. They focused more on exploration rather then dungeons and linearity.
I mean you are not wrong but to me BotW was a bad take, didn't even bother buying a switch for the last one since it seems to be more of the same.
My 2 most favorite Dungeons from Twilight princess are Arbiter’s Grounds and Temple of time
TP is my fav Zelda game and the dungeons are one of the reason. When I created my own written list of fav Zelda Dungeons (before BotW and I never played SS all of the way through), TP had the most entries in it. Anyway, here's my own Ranking-
6:35 this hand use to scare me as a kid i was 10 when this game came out and it’s still one of my fav games wish it was on switch or something
I see the magnetic boots and go
"These wish they were the Ratchet and Clank Magnetic/Grav Boots"
Wow... Goron Mines is my favorite dungeon so I'm surprised.
I swear I felt bad putting it 9th haha!
TP has been the only game ive wanted to replay again and again (now the only game next to TP is Baldur's Gate 3!)
The story is amazing, i loovee midna and all the other npc's and the dark vibe and music is just ❤
Ps my fav character is Queen Rutela, shes so beautiful! Im sad you didn't see more of her ingame
I always forget how sad the Prince Ralis/Queen Rutela story is. Definitely an underrated part of the game.
good to see another city in the sky enjoyer, this whole dungeon looks like a star wars planet
You're right, I definitely get some Bespin vibes from this place.
