Very impressive response and a show of force to get that fire 🔥 knocked down, Also pretty sharp looking apparatus ambos. and staff units, Thanks for posting these departments and their outstanding performance.. Tony J. from Indiana..🙌🏼👍👏🏼🔥🚨🚒📸
That could have been my late grandparent's house - same design and just a few towns over - Farmingdale, NY. All vollys there on Long Island and setting the bar high for other volunteer units!
Great work on isolating and knocking down that fire. New Jersey Firefighters need to watch this video. The videos of New Jersey firefighters that I've seen on here fighting fires is extremely painful to watch!!! They need to cross the bridge and let New York firefighters show them how to save a house not a foundation.
I know it does not show everything in the video but whats wrong with using tank water to start off and get water on the fire faster, as you do that you can hook to the hydrant.
0:54 who’s the guy in the yellowish green shirt pulling hose with no turnout gear or SCBA? 11:18 tons of manpower! I wish we had that kind of manpower in our area.
I’m guessing they have an automatic mutual aid arrangement with multiple departments responding on a box alarm. Either that or else the working fire brings mutual aid as standard procedure. Am I correct?
@@zyglo9826 All of these departments are volunteer. The call is sent just to Hicksville, if they upgrade it to a working fire (signal 10) or request mutual aid then they will follow the mutual aid agreement/runcard. Bethpage Ladder 4 (the first due ladder) sees that Hicksville has a house fire they will start heading in that direction so they can be the first due ladder.
Amazing footage and nice arrival time!!
Great footage of the crew pulling the initial attack line and supply hose
❤😊❤

Talk about ladder truck over kill
Is a Bethpage Truck Company normally first due for a Hicksville house fire? What's with all the mutual aid? Seems like a routine house fire.
Bethpage always tends to beat Hicksville out into their own district.
@jpope537 Thanks.
