    Maddie love this video as always 🥰❤ I get so excited whenever I see a new video from you. Amazing ideas for snacks 😋. I just started working and I am pregnant so I am constantly hungry at work. So i can't thank you enough for posting this video at the time I badly needed it 🤩🤗. Also another amazing snack you can add to this list is something called 'makhana' or "fox nut seeds" or "prickly water lilly seeds". It's very very popular in india. It's basically the same concept of a popcorn. Instead of using corn you use water lilly seed. It almost looks like popcorn once it's popped. You can spice it up however you want. My favorite way is to season it with turmeric, Chilly powder, cumin powder and salt. 🥰😋.

    • @LetsEatPlants
      @LetsEatPlants  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Aww thank you friend! So happy to hear that! 🤗🤗 Ooooh are fox nut seeds the same as lotus seeds?? Googling them they do look similar. Can't remember if I had them when I lived in Asia or not but they definitely look familiar!! I will have to keep an eye out at the stores here. Your seasoning combo sounds divine! Thank you for the recommendation. 🤩💕🌱

      @@LetsEatPlants I am not so sure if they are the same. I actually thought that they were the same until recently but now i am not so sure😆. But I do know that you can find spiced or plain ones in all Indian stores. (You can also get black salt in the Indian stores for may be cheaper rate). It as addictive as popcorn. Last time around I did cheese powder. My husband and I finish the whole thing while watching a movie 😛. I hope you try it out and like it 🤗❤ lots of love to you. Keep those amazing videos coming 🤩

    Hi! I’ve watched a bunch of your videos and am wondering why you don’t use oil?

    • @LetsEatPlants
      @LetsEatPlants  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question! 🤗 I *do* use oil occasionally, but since learning about calorie density, I have cut wayyyy back. Basically if you use even a small amount of oil it can add a lot of calories, and yet no other nutritional value. I do eat lots of other fat instead (nuts, seeds, avocado, etc.) as those are important for our health. I also still do eat some foods with oil (because… well they’re delicious! Lol!)… I just try to limit it in my own cooking for the sake of reducing the unnecessary calories. Hope that makes sense! 😃 You can read more about calorie density here: www.forksoverknives.com/wellness/the-calorie-density-approach-to-nutrition-and-lifelong-weight-management/
