NEXT TIME ON DRAGON BALL Z! WILL AFRO DEFEAT THE INVADER? WILL GOKU FINALLY FINISH CHARGING THE FUCKING SPIRIT BOMB? WILL MY MEAL FINALLY BE READY? FIND OUT WITHIN THE NEXT SEASON IF DRAGONBALL Z
the only reason everyone has so much darkmoon grass is because of the duping glitch that never got patched out. darkmoon is supposed to be as rare as divine blessings.
Bro what? Even in the remake you can just farm new moon and dark moon grass no problem. I have like 50 of each on my archer. And even still full moon grass is just as good and more easily obtainable...
"Hmm? But this doesn't look bad at all. Looks better than most of the PVP I've done in DaS1, at least. Well, this fight is taking a while. Wait, when is this gonna end? Oh... oh my god."
Yabeen Sees I do agree that fights can take forever but look at this for an invaders standpoint, the only reason that blue phantom is still alive is because he kept casting second chance, and they were double teaming him for awhile but he was still able to fight and actually cast an area effect spell that hit. In darksouls you'd be stunlocked and dead in 5 seconds unless you are good enough to backstab both of them back and forth. Also a 12 min pvp fight isn't that long, there are some invaders that take that long to find you.
gordon renes Holy shit dude. The video maker sped up the video x2, and I went and sped it up x2 as well in the video options. That's x4 the normal speed because 2 plus fucking 2 equals 4. It's not rocket science.
Yesterday I had probably the most annoying Old Monk fight. They guy started by spamming the Old Hero's sword in order to make me bleed. I managed to attack him and keep him from spamming. The guy then backed away, healed and took out the Scraping Spear. It turned into a 30 minute fight where we just kept on healing, while he kept on spamming the spear. And when he changed to a weapon, I re-equipped mine and fought back. He was always having trouble, so he usually returned back to his scraping spear pretty soon after. And yes.. after 30 minutes of fighting, I finally managed to stunlock him and then backstab him, and that ended the fight. It was the worst PvP match I had ever endured in the game.. And it didn't help that he was laggy as hell.
....... Wow, to share a story I once was playing through 4-2 and purposefully pissed off patches. Then someone invaded me and I went to fight him. THE INSTANT THAT SHITHEAD was losing he went straight to saint urbain healed with darkmoon grass and stood by urbain like a dick sucker. I was a noob back then and didn't know that invaders couldn't hurt npcs. The fuckface started slashing his sword looking like he was hurting urbain and I fucking lost it. I attacked him, got urbain agroded, tryed to get out of that shithole, the invader backstabed me, then did the sigh taunt. Dude I had to take a shower to calm myself after that shit.
Maro14 Ouch.. and Dark Souls 2 seems to be filled with that kind of players. It's.. nice to see how people are keeping Souls invasion traditions alive. Yay..
OnlyAfro was using a *terrible* weapon for this. He was literally asking to prolong the fight. Once he pulled out his Makoto, then he wasn't joking anymore. And the fight ended quickly, so, really, don't be misled by the video.
RedHairdo He only switched after four minutes, and the invasion still took two more minutes and only ended when the invader tried and failed to use the dragon bridge bait when it backfired on him. In all honesty, even when he started using the makoto, the fight still could have lasted longer if the invader continued what he was doing before the bridge fail.
The only reason people like Demon's Souls PVP better was because phantoms could heal, and quickly, which made PVP take much more of an annoyance than anything. As worth mentioning they could have 99 herbs to heal full health with.
Peter Parker I had 99 dark moon grasses. You could farm them off enemies if you had 40 luck, unlike divine blessings. I remember you could get 30 total in one playthrough. In Dark Souls the most you can get is 15 divine blessings, and I'm being very generous about that number.
Not even, it just made the fights take place on a more Epic Scale, rather then ending in a mere 10 seconds. Demon Souls PvP was just all-round better and more fun.
Count Dracula Bullshit, Demon's Souls have a horrible PVP system and seeing more old videos just shows how broken it was. Dark Souls has a vastly better system. 10 second battles with skill are vastly better than 10 minutes rollfests. That's probably why people like it. Demon's Souls PVP took no skill. While Dark Souls rebalanced it to make turtling much less viable and made aggressive opponents thrive better. Even with the ninja flip ring Dark Souls is a much better experience.
Bumbleness Supreme Brady If that's your opinion then whatever dude, I just remember alot more longer Epic Battles in Demon Souls, Now in dark souls people can just cast shit like TWOP and spam dark pursuers... not to mention more hackers this time around. I'm not saying Dark Souls PvP is bad, just Demon Souls has a lot better balanced and fair PvP system... Which is why I'm happy about the return of Demon Souls PvP elements in Dark Souls 2.
Demon's souls PVP was better because it was more AGGRESSIVELY BROKEN. Hundreds of healing items, builds that infinity healed... it just let you screw with people for huge amounts of time. It was better PVP for trolls.
I think Dark Souls did Pvp best. Despite the many annoyingly op things, they were usually counter-able. Demon Souls did atmosphere and PvE Best. Dark Souls 2 did well on all aspects, but not excellent on anything really.
sinceits the newer game, the combat mechanics and movement mechanics were vadtly improved, as well as the realistic looking armor mechanics i.e. if youre wearing a cape its flows and moves instead of being static etc
I'm inclined to believe dark II has the best pvp. backstabs are a broken mechanic in the first two games as far as pvp goes, since it's instantaneous and they only need be behind&facing you and within the 'cone'.
Maybe it's just my internet, then? I play on PC, and quite a bit when I PvP I end up teleported into backstabs. Could just be me though, as I don't have great internet. Either way, for the most part I'm more of a PvE player in each of the Dark Souls games, and I haven't played DeS. I usually try to make PvE builds and help other players with bosses, so I don't PvP often.
***** Dark souls 2 is honestly worse on pc because they doubled the hitboxes ratio, meaning you can be hit way out of anyones actual range, and don't get me started on giving it a Peer2Peer network because that has caused more lag than both souls games combined and people are lagswitchuing because of it so literally the way to win pvp in dark souls 2 is lagswitch.
The reason people prefer Demon's Souls PvP is because of dedicated servers. When you actually have a proper duel it's a lot more fast paced and reliable than Dark Souls, but yeah Demon's Souls had a shit load of things to fix. Dark Souls 2 looks like FS finally knows how to balance their shit and have the player experience the best out of both worlds.
Are you kidding me? They made magicians fucking gods, you can literally be unstoppable and cast spells that one shot, like literally, just today i got invaded by some kiddo who cast numbness and 1 shot me with forbidden sun..
AReal CoolGuy Thats incorrect, spells have gotten a tad OP but the casting time for the more powerful ones are significantly longer even with high attunement, making them incredibly predictable in pvp. My issue is with the backstab and riposte damage, I once saw an invader kill my blue sentinel with a backstab of slightly more then 3000. THAT right there is fucking ridiculous. No worries though, this is only the beginning and once the fanbase has whined and complained enough, patches will be on the incoming.
Yeah, i guess you're right,I was just being a bitch because it's such a pain in the ass to see the majority of dark souls 2 pvp players casting hexes and spells. It's kind of saying "fuck you" to melee characters, because while we're out there fighting using a bit more advanced techniques that require quite a bit of experience and skill there are casters casually walking around pressing the attack button to cast a spell, which doesn't involve much skill, besides knowing when to cast.. The only melee characters i see are people using the running R1/RT attack with halberds which are extremely hard to avoid considering the amount of lag, or Katana users, which are great weapons, i have no problem with them, but when you constantly use the running attack that has a stupid amount of range..Idk...Much respect to you though.I'm glad i got a mature response instead of getting shit shoved down my throat. Praise on Tarkus.
IMO Tanks rape mages, due to the fact that Magic Havels greatshield actually blocks 100% magic damage. I laugh so hard when someone readies a great heavy soul spear and I'm like 'lol shield' and they do no damage whatsoever.
If only everyone who claims that one game or the other is better in PVP would hold them both to the same standards, then remember that PVP isn't the central fucking focus of either fucking games.
Demon's Souls PVP Highlight - I was using the Dragon Bone Smasher. Whole fight was 1. I hit opponent, 2. Opponent rolls away, 3. Opponent heals full health, 4. Repeat. That went on for 30 minutes before I just turned the damn system off. I don't have time to waste on a single 30 minute fight. Dark Souls PVP Highlight - "I stabbed the fucker and took his humanity" I mean, at least it's gonna end pretty quick, one way or another.
SexyJazzCat So, Demon's Souls had the Tagline "Prepare to Die", cuz he was talking about Demon's Souls PvP.. But, alas, the games are about a challenge, but I didn't think that challenge included Twinked out Griefers trying to ruin your life.
RzrsRtKNO Well, he said "I just got demons souls, i must say the pvp is complete shit just like DARK SOULS." And he kept referring to the soul series, not demons souls directly, so yea.
unpopular opinion comment thread and its my go! I think dark souls 2 is the best in the series, having played all 3 the whole way through. what you gonna do?
Bah..What's the name of the song when they fight the invader with the weird thing on his head? (Never played Demon's Souls, so I don't know what the thing is called.)
I think Bloodborne has the best pve (I know it's up to opinion but that's a good thing) and that Dark Souls has (albeit accidentally with the inclusion of glitches like toggling) the best pvp
For me, dark 1 pvp was the best. there was an actual meta. there was an easy way to beat turtles and there was nothing that was really broken aside from the obvious buff HR one shot poise backstabs. other than that, it was great. Was also probably the best game to be a dickwraith in.
I used to invade peoples levels and then set myself as a sort of Boss of the stage. Would stand around near the end of the level in plain sight. Especially in world 1-3. Would be on the steps leading into the castle with the 3 red knights nearby. Was awesome and fun. Made a lot of friends that way actually.
Dark souls 2 has the better multiplayer of all souls. Playability have been really improved, there are lot of items, armours, weapons, spells... for very very different builds. And with the next patch nobody'll can heal no more with estus, herbs... then there are paths and a lot of others things
Demon's Souls PvP was fucked up by no poise, imbalanced weapons and near unlimited quick healing. There have been so many rubbish weapons that don't even offer a single advantage. Penetrator's Sword was looking awesome, but had too much weight, horrid stats and scaling which is just too much with that little bit more range in comparison to other swords. A pity. Spears were broken because of the instant stunlock and the huge range, especially the scraping spear was annoying which basically was just there to troll yo and make you spend tons of souls on repairing every item you're using. I mean, seriously? More than 90% of the time there was a PvP tournament in Demon's Souls, a spear user won. Even weapons with such retardedly high damage and use such as large sword of moonlight and blueblood sword paled in comparison to spears simply because spears stunlocked you before you got one hit down. And if you didn't use a spear... another pole weapon. Mirdan Hammer, basically the Lucerne of Demon's Souls, was also called the noobstick because it is retardedly broken (halberds had a very similar moveset to spears) AND can be used on a faith regeneration build... Faith casts, except for the broken Second Chance which was first planned but not implemented in Dark Souls, are useless. Considering the fact you don't need either the stats for the catalyst NOR any stats for the spell... wow, just wow. Only two miracle cast slots and you're good. And seeing as there was a talisman that could cast miracles AND sorcery... no need to waste a second slot to it if you're going caster build with SC. Only way you could efficiently use faith was a divine weapon which regenerates health + ring of health regeneration + adjucator's shield which gave you just so much health regen you didn't NEED to smoke weed. Drug Souls was completely imbalanced and no real PvP experience. Dark Souls introduced the problem of lag which made many sorcery builds, even if strong and creative, a poor experience at times. Like seriously, dodged long ago and still get a lag MLGS hit... Dark Magic does offer some counterplay, but the risk-reward ratio is just too low. Too much damage to be called balanced giving what it offers... and then taking lag into consideration... The nerfs on TWOP (lol it has OP in it), Iron Flesh and ninja flip ring were almost necessary. We all remember the flipping heavy armour ninja... though it's still possible to go Ninja Flip in full Havel's armour. All you need is 99END, Havel's ring, Dark Wood Grain Ring and the rest of your weaponry mustn't weigh more than 2.1. On SL200, that build is actually surprisingly legit when built with pyromancy. Backstab and parry are broken engines in Dark Souls. Way too little risk for too much damage AND a disruptive, repeatable move. Just... seriously... Drunk Souls did fix some things about what Drug Souls messed up, but added its own things as well. Let's see what Drunk Souls 2 will offer.
Technically Penetrators crappy stat scaling gets better at certain upgrade points (I think it hits A dex scaling at +3? and increases by a less than marginal amount at +4 and +5) but that sword itself is designed for max damage when doing thrusting attack (1Handed heavy attack). I have had PvP matches in Demon's Souls that lasted 30 seconds, and ones that lasted 20 minutes spanning almost an entire level (I think we ran through 1-1, 1-2 and 1-3 before I accidentally landed in fire somewhere and died while dodge-rolling an attack) Personally I don't really favor Dark Souls or Demon's Souls PvP one over the other, but I enjoy both of their unique aspects to it. I can't wait to hear all the bitching about Dark Souls II letting you get invaded while you're hollowed in the future once people are actually playing the fully launched version with way too many hollows online.
Robert Douglas Actually, no. The community has tournaments and sparring evenings just in the same manner as Dark Souls. Maybe you're confusing something? When you let yourself be summoned to someone's world for PvP, you're looking for an honest little duel, regardless of the game. When you invade someone, you can INDICATE you want a duel by bowing. Yet you can't expect the other to be wanting a duel and acting like a duelist just like the host can't expect an invader to behave well. I think you completely misunderstood something entirely here. Invasions in both games have the same feel. It will be exactly the same in Dark Souls 2. I still remember my very first time being invaded in Demon's Souls. Right after Phalanx in 1-2 without having returned to the Nexus yet. I was scared shitless even though it wasn't a twink but he obviously was quite a bit advanced compared to me if only because he already could invade... and really surprised and thrilled when I won (eventually got that right with interrupting healing with the crossbow BEFORE he's healed himself, killing him that way). Back then I thought he had to kill the Armour Spider in order to being able to invade because I played a little offline at first, wasn't yet 18 but close to, so obviously it scared me already. On top of that the fact he was using a katana which I knew was found in 4-1... That experience heavily defined how I do PvP myself. Invasion has nothing of a duel. But when I invade at low level, fully twinked out... it's nothing but a real dick move that gives no satisfaction whatsoever. Then it wasn't about the skill you had. Then you didn't outsmart your enemy. Then you just had plain more powerful items. In both games, when I invaded, I used untwinked weapons by default. Maybe I would use a katana, but it wouldn't be sharp+1 or chaos+5. But I always had one of those in store to fight back once I'd meet a twink. Thankfully, it's very easy to notice whether someone's a twink without having to get hit first. Even if it's an invasion that ignores all customs of PvP, it just feels so much more satisfying when I win on equal grounds than when I win being completely overpowered. And sometimes you even get some social players in both games who invade you, see you, then either return to their world and ask if you want help from them with questing or leave ad item behind, then return to their world and wish you good luck with the game. But obviously, only few people do any of that. People in the Souls series are dicks, but the game basically invites them. Sad, but true. The concept of invading is REALLY inviting to trolls and toxic people. Yet I wouldn't want it any other way. Invasions are part of the game. In all honesty, I want NO area to be safe REGARDLESS of what. I want to be able to be invaded in EVERY SINGLE REGION even if the boss is down or it has none in the first place. Imagine an invader in Ash Lake, in Valley of Drakes... or in the Nexus. True, Nexus is a bit like a safe haven, that might be the ONLY place in the Souls Series that is truly safe. But in Dark Souls, there is no such place. Firelink Shrine is just a place of rest and melancholy, not a safe haven whatsoever. But obviously, I would wantsomething like the Graverobber's Ring back that made invasions less likely yet wasn't a garuantee for not being invaded. In fact, it would be a necessity if the game truly had no other way or preventing being invaded. But in the Souls Series, I want to be permanently on edge. More than in the previous two titles. Demon's Souls? Just play in soul form. And it's lonely there anyway, so even in body form, not much happens. And if you really want to be safe, Graverobber's Ring. With the little amount of invaders after the release of the second game, you never got invaded wearing this. Dark Souls? Just be hollow. Doesn't even have any gameplay drawbacks. I think Dark Souls II will not only be the best balanced PvP experience the Souls Series ever had, but also will have executed what the Souls Series stands for better than any of the previous two titles, though both are great games nonetheless.
Robert Douglas Keyword: when you SUMMONED. Don't prove me right by trying to prove me wrong, please give me a bit more of a challenge when you try to engage in a discussion. ;p
That music that played near the end... I heard that in a video game over and over, and I don't remember which game it was. It's driving me crazy over here.
Walamonga 1313 Trolled a lot of guy back to level 1 with soul sucker on demons souls. I was never hard core enough at PvP in dark souls 1 to do that. I used dex builds to make the game challenging rather that focusing on PvP when I played mostly. Black Flame spam was the only thing I did on Dark Souls that could be interpreted as a faggot move on PvP.
Dubrovnik Dark souls 2 was casual. I could use 50 dex , 30 adaptability and +10 dagger with stone ring. Spam R2 and back stab fish on the slow builds. PvP is sad on that game. Very dynamic and fun but nothing is really over powered after they nerfed it all. I dont have issues with any of that. The souls memory is what I find retarded. There is no way my level 120 build with individuality should be connecting with level 500 Havel monsters spamming crystal soul spear and rolling 7 times like a dex build. You gotta have an overpowered build with any weapon type....really doesn't matter. Broken as hell in regards to the level pairing.
I'm serious dammit what was with the Evangelion thing? Someone please throw me a bone here D: That looked happy. I heard that happy wasn't something that show did.
EsPoReNg nope. not at all. true that they ran out of budged, but the ending of evangelion was far from a dream. it was just the psychological side of the events that happened. then eventually there were more money cos the show was a success, and they made the "end of evangelion" movies where there's all the epic fights that everyone wanted.
I think it's generic non-copyright sneaking music. It's used by animators because it's cliche and royalty free. I seen it used in Harry Partridge's Hitman animation in particular, maybe you can reverse engineer it from there.
I love all the spells and the balance but i didnt like the direction dark souls 2 went, it didnt feel like a real dark souls game, too easy too little intressting lore and the combat was made much much too easy. Dark souls 2 was like the first level of Mario 3 2easy4me compared to dark souls 1 where it actully was really hard, like lost izoleth and blighttown god i hate those two areas.
Why is it a negative thing to say that : Demon's Souls was the best out of the 3 games. Especially when I played Demon's Souls far before Dark Souls even came out or was even talked about. I would have never even known about the franchise if it wasn't for a friend who brought over his ps3 and told me ''Dude, you've gotta play this game. You like Zelda right? Well this is like Zelda but 10 times harder, you'll love it.'' So. I played the game. Best I've probably ever felt playing any game ever, and even more so when I was finished. Now if I mention the game, I'm considered some sort of bullshit hipster even though I played all 3 games, and the first, far before the others. I just don't get it. Dark Souls 1 is great and all but. It felt more like a Boss Battle game mode from any other game. Like the ''fight all the bosses in a row w/o dying'' mode in super smash brothers brawl. That's exactly how the game made me feel. There was little to no exploration whatsoever. Dark Souls 2 had more exploration (sort of) than Dark Souls 1. However, obviously the diffculty was/felt easier. That's beside the point. Dark Souls 2 still felt like more of a ''game'' with a beginning middle and end, and somewhat of a story. Whereas Dark Souls 1 to me had ZERO guidance. I got lost as fuck the whole time. I prefer the way that Demon's Souls did picking your levels. Anyways. All 3 games are still great but. Nothing will ever compare to my first time playing through / beating Demon's Souls. Some of the best memories ever lol.
p.s. In all 3 games I played using a sword and shield. No magic. Ever. Fuck magic. I had a friend named Travis who played Demon's Souls after I finished it and he was saying the game was easy as shit and kept bragging and bragging. He played as a mage... that piece of shit. Magic was basically pointless in that game. Like a joke. What a pussy...
Sorry, but if you think dark souls 2 has a story that's a joke. It's a crappy hub world that branch off into multiple dead end tunnels for the player to "explore" meanwhile creating a world that is more boring and lifeless than the original legend of zelda overworld. The detail put into the world in dark souls 1 is nothing short of a masterpiece. Most games today spoon feed the player forced story and countless blaring signs telling you where to go. I like the feeling dark souls one presents of you actually being on a real quest or adventure. One where your next move is uncertain and you're not sure where to go for fear of being killed by tougher monsters. This is likely how a real adventure would feel to a person and the game makes you FEEL that. But you learn where to go by interacting with the npc characters, which are extremely well created to act of their own accord rather than act like their only purpose is to aid the main character. Each one has their own errands and ideals and only interact with you based on your decisions to either plow through the game, or stop and help/thwart certain characters. It draws you into the world because of these gameplay elements, and makes it feel like a real struggle to overcome each new terror that you discover. In Dark Souls 2 each NPC you encounter simply has a few lines of dialogue, then teleports back to the main hub and sits there forever. That's it. Dark souls also has incredible detail in the surroundings that you can see off into the distance, and the whole world makes sense with the locations that are presented in the backgrounds.
I love the flexibility of dark souls 2 and the possibilities of builds you can make. The balancing issues are still glaring though, especially since in pvp, everyone is having their cake and eating it too since there is no real soul level meta. I know I'm just limiting myself by not leveling my SL 150 pvp characters, but the pvp isn't fun for me if I have my cake and eat it too. It's just plain out not fair for a SL 150 strength build to fight a SL 200+ faith or int build. They have no drawbacks at all. Over 100 agility, good poise, absurdly high hp, endurance, and stamina. I can beat them and I have before, but there is tiny room for error on my part, whereas those people who level that high can eat like 4 backstabs or several R2s from me before they go down. It's just frustrating when I lose to someone who relies on crutches (buffs) rather than skill alone, so I can only handle dark souls 2 pvp in small doses.
I used to think leveling to the max level was the answer because then you could just do anything you wanted with the build. That's when I realized that'd be boring as fuck if everyone had the exact same build haha
Dark souls pvp is not broken. The only annoying thing about it is players who stay at level 18 and twink, invading noobs at the chapel and getting a false sense of badassery with their leveled, late game equipments.
「k r a g o r」 Casual bum. Those are troll weapons and twinking is for virgins. I've never been killed by either of those. I hope you're being a dark troll right now, son.
Back stabbing in Demons Souls was really bad... and even worse when news spread on how to dupe items... Still is though... I guess thats why we have estus... Its limited and further limited than these Moon grass items... But worse now since there can be a 4 on 1 gank invasion...
The atmosphere of doom and gloom and just how ugly, disturbing, and insane(not in the good way, but actual loss of sanity way) the world was did work quite well. Granted it also worked incredibly well in Dark Souls and it's atmosphere of a dying world and fallen kingdoms.
I can have long lasting matches in DkS 2 when my opponent decides to run around and heal over and over like the guy in this did. I invade people so I can't heal because it's an actual challenge and scary when you aren't able to just run away and heal. PvP in DkS and DkS was much better since the invader couldn't just run away and heal like a mega pussy like the guy in this video. Sure I'd run away to get some mobs to help me but that's because I tend to get ganked quite a lot and need my own assistance instead of getting 2v1ed or 3v1ed.
Count Dracula yeah man, i love 10+ minutes of rollfests and grass smoking :D "SMUK WAAD AIRY DIE" yeah you are kinda hilarious if you think i have the patience and diligence to fight the same opponent who can LITERALLY STAND IN FRONT OF ME AND HEAL ALL HIS HEALTH and still be safe, and dont give me any bullshit like "dks pvp is so bad because it has bullshit damage" yeah damage can get a little stupid, but id rather just die (or kill the invader) and be done with our fight rather than it become a 20 - 30 minute weed smoking contest where it ends in a literal "You win!" im not a fan of real time combat systems that make fights have the ability to last over an hour or two because we both are overly cheap healers and can just smoke smoke smoke smoke! until we get the non-existant lung cancer that is secret in the game. dks2 has a lot of tweaks and mechanics to fix, but id rather deal with insta death critical hits so i can go woop or die to another persons ass, as compared to doing nothing but mashing the "EAT GRASS TO WIN" button and then pressing the "DO A BARREL ROLL!" button to combo into "SPAM R1 TO HIT" which will lead into my super "C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER(parry)" button EDIT: TL;DR demons souls pvp? more like early beta dark souls 1 pvp(replace the grass with humanity and give rolls 1000x more I-frames)
Conatus No it isn't because then everyone just uses the same thing over and over again and the game becomes stale and boring because why use anything else besides the most overpowered thing.
As if everyone repeatedly saying "congratulations" in a different language would sound any better. You sub purists are all alike, preaching the inferiority of dubs simply because you wouldn't know bad Japanese voice acting if you heard it.
Not sure if Demon's Souls invasion or Dragon Ball season finale
NEXT TIME ON DRAGON BALL Z! WILL AFRO DEFEAT THE INVADER? WILL GOKU FINALLY FINISH CHARGING THE FUCKING SPIRIT BOMB? WILL MY MEAL FINALLY BE READY?
FIND OUT WITHIN THE NEXT SEASON IF DRAGONBALL Z
...And that is why today we hold our humanity in front of our face for a second before using it.
hahahhaa yes. gold
+gordon renes Too bad it's so damn easy to heal in Dark Souls 3, same with Bloodborne :(
+The Dutchess At least it goes both ways if you're an invader.
So, in dark souls 2 you're using estus for a hundred of years, and it heals for at least the same time
divine blessings
the only reason everyone has so much darkmoon grass is because of the duping glitch that never got patched out. darkmoon is supposed to be as rare as divine blessings.
That's literally cancer
The problem wasn't dark moon you could buy new moon for like 10k souls, just grind for 20 minutes on ng plus and you could buy like 50 new moon grass
Bro what? Even in the remake you can just farm new moon and dark moon grass no problem. I have like 50 of each on my archer. And even still full moon grass is just as good and more easily obtainable...
I'm confused, was that PvP or the final fucking boss battle.
+joe lamer Actually, both
That was the Final PvP Battle
joe lamer the final boss wasn't a threat to me XD
I had the fireball spell so uh
it was way too easy
That is not the Old Monk....... Hes in the Tower of Latria... this is Boletaria Palace. This is a new game plus invasion
@@tsohgallik That was a joke, he knows it's not the actual boss.
after the invader died he probably had the biggest hissyfit of his life
I get people sending me messages, cussing out when I beat them in dark souls
These were the good old xbox live chat style days
"Hmm? But this doesn't look bad at all. Looks better than most of the PVP I've done in DaS1, at least. Well, this fight is taking a while. Wait, when is this gonna end? Oh... oh my god."
Yabeen Sees
I do agree that fights can take forever but look at this for an invaders standpoint, the only reason that blue phantom is still alive is because he kept casting second chance, and they were double teaming him for awhile but he was still able to fight and actually cast an area effect spell that hit.
In darksouls you'd be stunlocked and dead in 5 seconds unless you are good enough to backstab both of them back and forth. Also a 12 min pvp fight isn't that long, there are some invaders that take that long to find you.
+Earl Pate I'd rather die in two minutes rather then 2 hours.
They both were using duped Dark Moon Grass which gives full hp and cures status
This had better cheer me up afro, i swear to god. IGN is blocking everything i upload

Captain Blubber I did the same!

+gordon renes 2+2
.... great explination
gordon renes Holy shit dude. The video maker sped up the video x2, and I went and sped it up x2 as well in the video options. That's x4 the normal speed because 2 plus fucking 2 equals 4. It's not rocket science.

Dude it's ironic, like how onlyafro uses dubstep and lensflare and mlg and most all of his jokes, I thought his fans would get it.

There's also an item called sticky white stuff
there is also a maiden in black - touch the demon inside me... I mean...... did you see the girl who really was talking as maiden in black? sooo hot!
KEEP ROLLING ROLLING ROLLING ROLLING
If only everyone who complains about estus and humanity healing in dark souls pvp would play demons souls...
Maro14
Ouch.. and Dark Souls 2 seems to be filled with that kind of players. It's.. nice to see how people are keeping Souls invasion traditions alive. Yay..

The taunting in some cases can be compared to t-bagging in FPSs.
*****
I suppose. The gestures do have much more meaning to them after all, since they're proper body language.
Old Monk invasions are 90% of the times fucking trolls...
Jesus, how did anyone ever even win a fight in this game? The other guy running out of grass?
well, most invaders don't just roll roll heal for days but this guy was playing like this because it was 2v1
RedHairdo It didn't even end because of his sword..... it was because of the dragon.... both these guys sucked.
They were good and could kill a soul level 120 in about 4 to 5 hits in their single combo
"No invasion should last this long" And then I played DS3. And realized... this was only the beginning.
0:20 Can someone please tell me where this laugh is from... I've heard it before and I've looked everywhere but I can't source it
idk it sounds like goofy
th-cam.com/video/uvbKmyp9WI0/w-d-xo.html - 3 years late but revisiting old video lol.
The only reason people like Demon's Souls PVP better was because phantoms could heal, and quickly, which made PVP take much more of an annoyance than anything.
As worth mentioning they could have 99 herbs to heal full health with.
Peter Parker Most people who do that are cheating. NG+ is the only way to get many divine blessings and NG+ is dead in PVP.
Bumbleness Supreme Brady If that's your opinion then whatever dude, I just remember alot more longer Epic Battles in Demon Souls,
Now in dark souls people can just cast shit like TWOP and spam dark pursuers... not to mention more hackers this time around.
I'm not saying Dark Souls PvP is bad, just Demon Souls has a lot better balanced and fair PvP system...
Which is why I'm happy about the return of Demon Souls PvP elements in Dark Souls 2.
"Kongradulashuns"
By the end of it, that was all I could hear.
demons souls invaders must have a lot of time on their hands
+Famtomerc Or plenty of dupes.
+Pheelep grass everywhere
It is very easy to self-dupe in Demon's Souls.
Demon's souls PVP was better because it was more AGGRESSIVELY BROKEN. Hundreds of healing items, builds that infinity healed... it just let you screw with people for huge amounts of time.
It was better PVP for trolls.
So true. This game had the most insane PvP with how hilariously broken it was.
I still say the scraping spear needs to make a return.
NarpytheCrimeDog dark souls III DLC needs a scraping spear that also has a weapon art that just shoots out that fart gas spell that ruins equipment.
That would be fucking awesome. Especially since armor does practically nothing, anyway.
NarpytheCrimeDog the scraping spear would be the only way to break armor aside from about an hour of tormenting yourself with those crabs
SatanIsSextingMe
Yeah, but DkS2 has PvP problems with lag, hitboxes, poise, etc.
Havels Shield says no
AReal CoolGuy Thats incorrect, spells have gotten a tad OP but the casting time for the more powerful ones are significantly longer even with high attunement, making them incredibly predictable in pvp.
Dark Souls PVP Highlight - "I stabbed the fucker and took his humanity" I mean, at least it's gonna end pretty quick, one way or another.
toxicparamite Of course you're going to get destroyed at lv 10. The games slogan is "Prepare to Die". They very well meant it.

So, Demon's Souls had the Tagline "Prepare to Die", cuz he was talking about Demon's Souls PvP..

Its from the movie Strange Wilderness.
Dark souls 2 may have the shittiest PvE out of the souls games, But In my opinion it has the best PvP.
I think Bloodborne has the best pve (I know it's up to opinion but that's a good thing) and that Dark Souls has (albeit accidentally with the inclusion of glitches like toggling) the best pvp
+TheShapesnatch I actually have to agree. DkS1 for PvE, DkS2 for PvP. If I was to go back to DkS1 PvP, I'd be such trash..
For me, dark 1 pvp was the best. there was an actual meta. there was an easy way to beat turtles and there was nothing that was really broken aside from the obvious buff HR one shot poise backstabs. other than that, it was great. Was also probably the best game to be a dickwraith in.
***** In almost literally every regard it is, excluding the title.
***** Fair enough.
I used to invade peoples levels and then set myself as a sort of Boss of the stage. Would stand around near the end of the level in plain sight. Especially in world 1-3. Would be on the steps leading into the castle with the 3 red knights nearby. Was awesome and fun. Made a lot of friends that way actually.
where did you get the laughing sfx and and whats it called
Dark souls 2 has the better multiplayer of all souls. Playability have been really improved, there are lot of items, armours, weapons, spells... for very very different builds. And with the next patch nobody'll can heal no more with estus, herbs... then there are paths and a lot of others things
Git out Casul
bla bla bla...
When BloodBorne releases people will complain about it instead and actually enjoy DSII.
I agree, Meitzen XD
Dark Souls 2 better? Lol. What are you? Casul? Gosh when Bloodborne comes out the only people who are going to complain are casuls like you.
the laugh at 05:54 what is from tekken?
I have had PvP matches in Demon's Souls that lasted 30 seconds, and ones that lasted 20 minutes spanning almost an entire level (I think we ran through 1-1, 1-2 and 1-3 before I accidentally landed in fire somewhere and died while dodge-rolling an attack)
Personally I don't really favor Dark Souls or Demon's Souls PvP one over the other, but I enjoy both of their unique aspects to it.
I can't wait to hear all the bitching about Dark Souls II letting you get invaded while you're hollowed in the future once people are actually playing the fully launched version with way too many hollows online.
HunterX57 that means less invasion failed
Robert Douglas
Actually, no.
I think Dark Souls II will not only be the best balanced PvP experience the Souls Series ever had, but also will have executed what the Souls Series stands for better than any of the previous two titles, though both are great games nonetheless.
thecreator625 this is the original idea of invading

+Walamonga 1313 dark souls prepatch build, full havels, ninja flip, sunlight katana.
Alex Cooper Ohh the flipping Havels and Smoughs....dark days indeed. EDIT: Anyone remember the weapons that drained souls, humanity and cursed you?
Walamonga 1313
Trolled a lot of guy back to level 1 with soul sucker on demons souls. I was never hard core enough at PvP in dark souls 1 to do that. I used dex builds to make the game challenging rather that focusing on PvP when I played mostly. Black Flame spam was the only thing I did on Dark Souls that could be interpreted as a faggot move on PvP.
Dubrovnik
Dark souls 2 was casual.
They need to Remastered this game. They really do. . .
Oh yhea
I'll do you one better, a remake.
What was that sample of laughing from? I've heard it before.

What's the name of the song playing during the 'Congratualtions' segment? I've been searching for a while now but I can't find it.
Evangelion opening, a show I avoid watch just because of the fanbase
I'm serious dammit what was with the Evangelion thing? Someone please throw me a bone here D: That looked happy. I heard that happy wasn't something that show did.
If i remembered correctly, that was the TV series ending, the studio ran out of budget towards the end so they made a really crappy ending.
Oh, that's disappointing. Okay XD
MetalGearRexPilot In context of what was happening in that episode it was more along the lines of disturbing than happy.
A badly executed ending that led fans to believe "it was all a dream"
EsPoReNg nope. not at all.
true that they ran out of budged, but the ending of evangelion was far from a dream. it was just the psychological side of the events that happened.
then eventually there were more money cos the show was a success, and they made the "end of evangelion" movies where there's all the epic fights that everyone wanted.
Hey his first music, what is it? Before the music by Kevin Macleod "Five Armies"
This is exactly how Dark Souls 3 plays.
Well at least you can't have 99 estus flasks...
The difference here is that Demon's Souls PvP was at least fun.

Someone didn't ger the point of the video... Ironic.
What's the song name at 0:37?
I think it's generic non-copyright sneaking music. It's used by animators because it's cliche and royalty free. I seen it used in Harry Partridge's Hitman animation in particular, maybe you can reverse engineer it from there.
Demon's Souls on PS4 would be godly
I know, we need that remake. I need that remake, I am a souls fan with no demons souls...

R. Meitzen thx
Sorcery's still complete shit
I love all the spells and the balance but i didnt like the direction dark souls 2 went, it didnt feel like a real dark souls game, too easy too little intressting lore and the combat was made much much too easy. Dark souls 2 was like the first level of Mario 3 2easy4me compared to dark souls 1 where it actully was really hard, like lost izoleth and blighttown god i hate those two areas.
What's that laugh at the end? Sounds like Alucard from Hellsing
Well this is like Zelda but 10 times harder, you'll love it.''
So.
XxCQOTDxX This!
“Dark souls 1 has no exploration” “Dark souls 1 didn’t tell me where to go”
Makes sense, that.
can someone please tell me what that laugh is from, I have heard it being used before, but I can never find its name.
CONGRATULATIONS
0:20 what is that laugh from
That ending ROFLMAO
what's the song after movement preposition?
it was all worth it for the end
so
congratulations
Where is that laugh at the end from? Fist of the North Star?
People who are saying that DeS PVP was better just forgot to take off their pink nostalgia glasses.
Just because these 2 guys suck at ganking doesn't make dark souls better.
+Dankbeast Paul That's a matter of opinion, I prefer the Dark Souls games overall, and think Ds2 had better PVP but shitty PVE.
Its a dark souls tradition
+adam hossman if you've never twinked in demon's souls with the scraping spear and baby's nail you can't call yourself a true souls boi
「k r a g o r」
Casual bum. Those are troll weapons and twinking is for virgins. I've never been killed by either of those. I hope you're being a dark troll right now, son.
scout wizardman
Its a scrub tradition. Git gud nub
adam hossman
hey pal i think you got the wrong door reddit`s two blocks down
what song was that when the anime in the background started playing
"Con-gra-guh-lashuns!!!"
what is that evil laugh at the end? I MUST HAVE IT
EvangeliOwned
what's the name of the song at 3:00 i've been hearing that from other dark souls video
that was pretty damn boring....you just chased one guy around in fast motion backstabbing him and watching him heal lol
Exactly, I think that is the whole point of the video, Afro is making fun of the people who think that Demon Souls had better PVP.
Back stabbing in Demons Souls was really bad... and even worse when news spread on how to dupe items... Still is though... I guess thats why we have estus... Its limited and further limited than these Moon grass items... But worse now since there can be a 4 on 1 gank invasion...
The song is called 'Movement Proposition'.
Should have used scraping spear
how do you play online with others, I don't see any options for it.
"Dark Souls PvP was Better"
need this video now haha
I must know where that laugh at the end is from?
same here. i would like to know too
+Tall Guy +seandatcool It's Iori Yagami's Laugh from King of Fighters :B
The only ones who say that are just nostalgia blinded. dark souls is definitely better.
Agreed. You can make arguments about the lore and mood of the game(though those are subjective), but mechanically it was so much better.
+doomrider7 the fact that when demons souls fans say its better because of atmosphere just shows they have no real reason.
The atmosphere of doom and gloom and just how ugly, disturbing, and insane(not in the good way, but actual loss of sanity way) the world was did work quite well. Granted it also worked incredibly well in Dark Souls and it's atmosphere of a dying world and fallen kingdoms.
I prefer how the character holds the weapon on Demon's Souls... It feels so much less retarded than in Dark Souls XD
it's other people's opinion like it's my opinion that demons souls is the best game
Don't let yourself get discouraged!
I really can't wait for more of your vids :)
After playing dark souls 2's fucked up PVP, I really want to go back to demon's souls now.
based on the video, it seems fucking terrible
I can have long lasting matches in DkS 2 when my opponent decides to run around and heal over and over like the guy in this did. I invade people so I can't heal because it's an actual challenge and scary when you aren't able to just run away and heal. PvP in DkS and DkS was much better since the invader couldn't just run away and heal like a mega pussy like the guy in this video. Sure I'd run away to get some mobs to help me but that's because I tend to get ganked quite a lot and need my own assistance instead of getting 2v1ed or 3v1ed.
Count Dracula yeah man, i love 10+ minutes of rollfests and grass smoking :D "SMUK WAAD AIRY DIE" yeah you are kinda hilarious if you think i have the patience and diligence to fight the same opponent who can LITERALLY STAND IN FRONT OF ME AND HEAL ALL HIS HEALTH and still be safe, and dont give me any bullshit like "dks pvp is so bad because it has bullshit damage" yeah damage can get a little stupid, but id rather just die (or kill the invader) and be done with our fight rather than it become a 20 - 30 minute weed smoking contest where it ends in a literal "You win!" im not a fan of real time combat systems that make fights have the ability to last over an hour or two because we both are overly cheap healers and can just smoke smoke smoke smoke! until we get the non-existant lung cancer that is secret in the game. dks2 has a lot of tweaks and mechanics to fix, but id rather deal with insta death critical hits so i can go woop or die to another persons ass, as compared to doing nothing but mashing the "EAT GRASS TO WIN" button and then pressing the "DO A BARREL ROLL!" button to combo into "SPAM R1 TO HIT" which will lead into my super "C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER(parry)" button
EDIT: TL;DR demons souls pvp? more like early beta dark souls 1 pvp(replace the grass with humanity and give rolls 1000x more I-frames)
bigbrojz66 O_O
bigbrojz66 Damn...was it that bad?
What is the name of music starting from 0:37 ?
POWER
Right now, the honor brigade are foaming at the mouth watching this!
My god PvP in this game was straight up ass cheeks lol.
Hey afro, what's your thoughts on Darksouls 2 now that there was a media release of gameplay? :D
Evangelion!
Garbage!
Can anyone tell me which anime was at the end? Just curious.
Still better than Gotthards twinsword L1
It's a song from the anime, "Good, or Don't Be". It's a piano cover of the anime's intro song "A Cruel Angel's Thesis".
Second chance? More like 99th chance or something.
The Portugal version of the "congratulations" thing sounds so much goofier, holy shit XD
To be fair, Souls PvP sucks.
No, it really doesn't.
Conatus It really does. Too many exploited and unbalanced items not to mention doom 1's online multiplayer had less lag with 50 kb download speeds....
Con Cahill Unbalanced gameplay is a lot more fun than balanced gameplay.
Conatus No it isn't because then everyone just uses the same thing over and over again and the game becomes stale and boring because why use anything else besides the most overpowered thing.
Con Cahill :\ Do you play Dark Souls? There are OP things, and people still try to use the most under-powered things..
Where is that laugh from at the end of the video?
**twitch**...
English... dub... hurts... ears...
Congradulations
*twitch* weeaboos
As if everyone repeatedly saying "congratulations" in a different language would sound any better. You sub purists are all alike, preaching the inferiority of dubs simply because you wouldn't know bad Japanese voice acting if you heard it.
Meh, it's more like I'm used to the Japanese voices. I'm not actually that vehement, I would just rather watch something that hasn't been altered.
What is the anime called? the one after you killed the phantom?
Neon Genesis Evangelion. Wouldnt recommend it unless you like shitty endings
pretzels713 The real ending isn't bad.
Carl Cael The ending didn't have to be bad, the entire thing was.
