Red Tearstone Ring greatly increases damage at low HP, Crown of Dusk increases magic damage by I believe 20% and Bellowing Dragoncrest ring is another 20% I think. So the point blank shotgun effect of dark bead is enough to oneshot, plus the catalyst he uses increases damage as well.

It gives you a sense of achievement no game has ever done for atleast me. That moment when I finally took down the Taurus demon, which I cant even describe how much frustration i was bought from. Yet I learned. And finally, won. When you buy dark souls, or a soul-series game, you know you are up to a challenge. Blindly buying games isnt recommended often.
not to mention the fact that there are actually weapons or spells in each section of the game that make progressing possible the game doesn't have a tutorial because it teaches you in other ways
