cultural appropriation is an American concept. People in America care so much because there is a lot of racism and prejudice in its past. The thing is, a lot of countries were colonized and affected by imperialism like India, Australia, and China. The only difference is that most people in these nations don't let things that happened over a century ago affect how they feel today. When they see someone wearing traditional garments they take it initially as flattery because we are no longer in a time where people had to protect their culture from being wiped out. The world isn't as black and white anymore.

I think that Mr. Will Witt could have asked the Left's hostile racists if buying chinese-made products "is cultural appropriation too"?! Plus, if the black women and men who straighten their hairs _(and even paint themselves as blonds)_ and chop-off their huge noses in order to try to look westerner, "is cultural appropriation too"? My aunt is Mexican and I love her and her family dearly and I used to love it when she involved me in cooking with her or when she gave me anything from Mexico. Back then no one was offended when I wore my poncho or my espadrilles. In fact it was all part of fashion for us.
I grew up in Salinas Ca. where I had friends and coworkers who were Mexican. No one was ever offended by anything. We all made jokes about ourselves and each other and all we ever had were laughs and good times. But, when I was twenty I had a boyfriend and we were madly in love. We were inseperable and began to spend a lot of time with our families and they were always gracious to me.
We were secretly engaged. He came from a very traditional Mexican family and when they found out they were furious. They forbade him to marry a white girl and told him to quit seeing me and threatened to disown him. He was furious. They were a fairly prominent strawberry farming family in the community and he was fully expected to follow suit, which he was going to do. But in the end, I called it off and walked away because of the pain and utter anguish it was causing him.
That was the first time I experienced what is now known as "reverse racism". Back then I just called it utter heartbreak. I will never ever forget him, my first true (adult) love.

Koreans like this because they are flattered people from other countries want to celebrate our culture. We even offer free admission to one of the palaces if you wear the traditional garment. There’s no problem as long as you aren’t mocking the people while wearing it. It’s really silly to see others be offended for you. Actually, that’s more offensive in a way - it’s arrogance. • @shawntw1556

@@fraserfir19 as you said, soft skills won't get you a job like hard skills will, but they will be important in actually obtaining a job and keeping it, if that makes sense. One of my early classes had a single class on soft skills, a quote that I remember from that was "Hard skill will let you obtain a job, but only soft skills will let you maintain that job". It went something like that. Lets say you are a programmer. Sure, hard skills in programming will get you the job, but if you cant lead a group, or work together in that group, you likely wont have that job for long. Leadership or teamwork are the example soft skills.
Point is, soft skills are equally as important as hard skills. People often underestimate how important they are, or don't realize just how broad the term is, and how it encompasses so many skills that people don't immediately notice.

For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them. To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews. To those under the law I became as one under the law (though not being myself under the law) that I might win those under the law. To those outside the law I became as one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law. To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings.

S M I’ve only been going to school here since fall of 2019, so I haven’t had a lot of incidents occur, but I would say that one of the more extreme ones was something that happened to a girl I met in one of groups I’m in. She’s a government major, so inevitably she’s taking some kind of gov classes, and as soon as the class found out that she was conservative, they turned against her and have called her a white supremacist on multiple occasions. I have more examples if you’d like to hear them, but that’s one of the more extreme incidents I’ve heard of/experienced.

It made the news you can look it up. - This is a smaller thing, but definitely not good, but I hear people all the time dissing capitalism and saying the socialism is the way to go. - I have a friend who is in a blackness incarceration class (you can already tell by the name that that's terrible lol) But my friend who is in it is actually conservative and frankly the nicest person I've ever met, and they pretty much talk about how blacks are being oppressed and how socialism and communism is the way to go. I don't personally take the class so that's all I can really say but I know it's not a good class lol. - There's just a lot of people on campus that have a far left mindset, and I've even read some hateful comments on twitter responding to posts made by YCT. Im currently in YCT so ask me after this school year and I'll bet I'll have a lot more to tell ;)
