  • Hi! My name is Abhinav and I am a UK based, Indian, documentary filmmaker. In the last 5 years I have travelled to different nations to meet and spend time with Romani people. A lot of people doubt that they are originally from India but there are lots of historical evidence that proves it.
Ever since I first met them in Ukraine I have fallen in love with their community spirit. After producing a few documentaries about them in Ukraine, Bulgaria and Romania, I recently went to Sweden to meet a Roma family. In this film, you will learn how the Romanis were treated when they first landed in Sweden in the 1500s and how their life has been so far in Scandinavia. You will also learn how along with the jews, Romani people were executed by the Nazis.
Hope you enjoy watching it. Also, if you would like to support my future travels so I can tell more stories become a patron today.

Hi! My name is Abhinav and I am a UK based Indian filmmaker. In 2018, whilst doing a documentary production in Ukraine I came across the Roma people for the very first time. At first, they thought I was a Romani too but they soon realised that I was from India but we immediately had a connection the moment we met. I fell in love with the Romanis that day and later found out about their connection with India.
Over the last 5 years, I have travelled to various European countries and spent time with them. After producing the first video about their existence I understood the need of giving them a voice by using my gift of telling stories through filmmaking.
Roma people have faced persecution ever since they first arrived in Europe and it continues. Although, the persecution isn't as harsh as it used to be hundreds of years ago but they still suffer. I want to travel, meet these people, encourage them and tell their stories. If you would like to support my vision then you're most welcome to join my Patreon and donate monthly. It will allow me to get to the most remote places and bring forth stories that need to be brought to light. Thank you :)

I think you need to tell both sides of the story. Romani are not victimized on the basis of their identity. Their actions have often caused them to get into trouble with authorities. Romani kids were adopted only from abusive families just like with Aborigines and American Indians. I wish for the Romani to embrace their Indian heritage and move to India because frankly we have trouble dealing with them, and we shouldn't have to, but the oppression myths are really tired.

@@catphuckers I am Anglo Romani living in Australia, I agree somewhat with what you are saying about victim mentality. And yes there are two sides to a story, but there is also more to any story. There are a lot of similarities in regards to social problems with the Rom in Europe And Aboriginal people here in Australia. I live in a town that basically has out of control Aboriginal youth crime. I have been robed assaulted and threatened on several occasions. But I still have respect for the aboriginal community due to the ones I know that don't do that and are trying to fix what is wrong.
Blaming white man for everything is not fair. And the same goes for usually left wing soft hands and welfare guilt policies. Change only works on a grass roots level.
There is also a large number of Romani in Australia, I have never heard them mentioned in regards to any crime or public nuisance. I understand your anger if my cousins have caused you trouble, but Rom have been in Europe a long time and are part of its makeup and history. I am not going back to Europe and they don't have to go back to India.

@@raclark2730 I appreciate your reply. I'm aware that Roma who have been in Northwestern Europe for the past few centuries (and whom have a ton more White admixture, this being relevant to their behavior in my opinion) are of a totally different temperament than Balkan Roma and are much more adept and upright. This, I should have clarified. Since the people are not quite as monolithic as others, it would be unfair to treat them as such.
I hate to say it, but I cannot observe Balkan Roma and come to any conclusion other than "These people have to go". The worst part of this all is the more intellectually inclined whiter Roma, Jud Nirenberg and Ian Hancock being good examples of this, are no criminals, but they insist that Europe tolerates the dregs of their people and for European taxpayer money to be pumped into Romani communities in the Balkans where inhabitants have been dead set on not working for hundreds of years. The Roma from NWE, with the help of antiwhite socialites, have built countless NGOs which are focused on the aim of subsidizing lower-caste Roma birthrates and defending Roma criminals from prosecution.
I'm a believer in race as a biological reality and determinant of behavior and intelligence, and I just do not see a way forward unless the West's racial and demographic policy is completely overhauled to be unapologetically pro-White. This doesn't necessitate the victimization of the entire Roma people, but we will definitely have to repatriate large groups of people, especially ones that are criminally inclined, unproductive, and whom pose a demographic threat. If people consider this to be too harsh, I don't really care because I see it as an issue which is not of immediate urgency but will remain an everincreasing problem for Europe if unsolved.
A good first step we can hopefully agree on if repatriation is too much is for the subsidies to end. Roma should not get a paycheck just for being Roma, especially if they do not work or have a criminal record. If the least capable of a people have the resources and drive to reproduce beyond that of the most capable, this creates a dysgenic effect and lowers the overall aptitude of a people. European law currently disagrees with me on this, but I think it's good hygiene which should be practiced everywhere.

@@catphuckers You speak your mind sir that's getting to be a rare thing these days.
I have suspected that the same over compensation and " positive discrimination" as they say was happening in Europe also. I am dead against that also. Its not helpful to anyone and just makes some people look like they are helping. And on immigration matters, though I am from a immigrant family myself, what is happening in so many countries is an uncontrolled mess.

In the Indian society they are a lower caste and can live free as nomads. Not very respected because from a lower cast. In Europe they got similar problems. But in Europe it's about settlement and give a school education to children and many Romas did not accept social housing and permanent residence. So there children could not attend school.

This happened after the Arab conquest of Iran, which was then used as a base for incursions into India. Consequently, they were likely sold into kingdoms of Europe. One is the Parsi migration to India around 600 AD due to the Muslim conquest of Persia (modern-day Iran). Today more than fifty thousand Parsis consider India home and many of them have contributed immensely to the development of India, the most famous of them being the TATA group.
The second is the influx of Tibetan refugees who fled from Tibet along with The Dalai Lama, their spiritual leader, to escape Chinese rule; Today there are about two hundred thousand Tibetans living peacefully in India. All this proves beyond doubt that India is a very unique and accepting place. We believe that the whole world is our family ( Vasudaivam Kutumbakam).
Coming back to the Roma population, it appears that what they need most today is to form an organization across Europe so that their voice can be heard and they are able to seek some sort of support and recognition.
Much love from India, we all pray that your lives and destiny change for the better very, very soon.

If Germans could return to Germany after 800 years after WW2, you too could. Just a question of time. Dear Abhinav, I strongly suggest that you also visit some Sinte (Sinti) people. Most of them live in Germany, Eastern France, Austria, Northern Italy and parts of Slovenia and Croatia. They consider themselves a separate branch of the Roma people and their language is a separate Indian-derived one, nowadays strongly influenced by German. Apparently, their ancestors’ migration route is different too and began in Sindh. A famous Sinto is the “Gypsy Jazz” founder Django Reinhardt. I grew up in Hamburg where there are both sizable Roma and Sinte communities, Sinte particularly in the part of town called Wilhelmsburg where there is the famous Reinhardt and Weiss clan that now has a notable jazz music enterprise. If you haven’t already done so, please consider looking into it.

    Thoughts running in my head..
    1. There are many groups of people in India that trace their ancestry to our neighboring countries(either traveled or by way of invasion). What do they think of their current situation with regards to politics around Indian origin?
    2. Do we really know our history?
    3. It's been difficult(since school), and I have given up on making people understand that English is my mother tongue(British rule and mixed marriages with Indians)
    3. Would be great if you could document Indians in India (without harming yourself)

Thank you Abhinav for bringing out this and other videos on Roma. I had only heard the term Gypsy and it was used in a derogatory sense. Your videos provide a good view of the Roma people and their ancestry.
I hope Diana gets to visit India. If few of them decide to relocate to India, a country of their roots; will it be possible for them to integrate and settle down. India connect is only an emotional feeling.
I learnt many nee things ftom your videos. It is sad to know that several thousand of them were sent to gas chambers but we only talk about the persecution of the jews. Powerful community gets all the attention.
West Indies, Trinidad has a sizeable population of India origin. It was a relocation of people from Eastern India to work in the sugar cane plantations in the Caribbean. They are about 40 percent of the population and consider themselves as well settled economically as well as politically.
Migration happened in the past, happens today and will continue to happen in the future as well. Most Migrations turn out to be successful.

@@abhinavinsearchofthelost I met up with my brother for the first Tim since my dad died, I was 3 last time I saw him and had never really met anyone on my dads side. My brother showed me a picture of my grandma who had a much darker skin tone and hair colour and eye colou than me or me dad and he described her as being Roman Catholic gypsy (I’m really sorry I don’t like the g slur). So I looked up a lot about where it originated from and did a lot of research and I saw it originated in northern India and then looked to TH-cam and found some videos talking about Romani history. I then spoke to my mother about it and she said my dad had mentioned some to her before about him and my grandma being rromani. We’ve sent in a dna test to be completely sure about it. If it comes back and I definitely am Romani (I am very sure about it) then I will be really proud of the strong and amazing human beings that had to endure so much just to make sure that they could survive and be able to have children that I’m descended from.

Romanis have IP rights on India. Let's India be stronger and powerful enough I believe $10 trillion economy to atleast make some effort towards Romani people. We can exchange 7-8 Crore Indian Muslim population to Pakistan with 5-6 Crore romanis from West and Europe. As Pakistan is made by west, the deal seems quite great

    • @catphuckers

Don't blame the West and Europe for Gandhi's foolishness. We have serious faults and responsibilities, but P*kistan is not one of them. And yes, take the Romani people in. India will be a great place for them since they cannot get along in the West, though if you are blonde-haired and blue-eyed in India there is a high change you will at least be groped. Western tourists have filmed themselves showing it is unsafe to walk down the streets while White. I hope Diana returns to India because Romani are not part of Europe, but at the same time I fear for her safety.
