It looks like you replaced the pin in the opposite direction that you removed it. The arrow originally pointed at the fat end of the pin, but when you put it back in, the arrow points to the narrow end. Why is that?
You remove the pin from the arrow size and put it in from the opposite side. Also the arrow originally pointed at the skinny end of the pin, he did it right.
@@WinterFlare 4:31 The swelled end was at the bottom and came out first, as expected. Maybe the swell fits in either end, but I think he should've turned the bracelet over and pushed the skinny end in first from that side. Then if someone wanted to remove it later, it would come out according to the arrow. This way it wouldn't.
Great tutorial, I adjusted mine in under 10 minutes. Had to take out 3 links. BTW, if you don't have a dedicated tool like in the video, a sim removal pin from an iPhone will work just fine
Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorial! It was very easy to follow and your step by step instructions were great. You saved me money by being able to do this myself and not have to take it to a jeweler.
4:31 thought 4:49 - Go back a few seconds and watch the pin when you first remove it. The split end was on the BOTTOM, and the smooth end was on the TOP - right? Thanks for the content.
You can also use a a short piece of wire and a pair of pliers to poke the pin out as I discovered after watching this. Obviously the wire needs to have a smaller diameter than the pin and a hard surface to push against with a small hole to allow the pin to come out the other side.
Thank you so very much! I was going crazy trying to compress the posts holding the links and, of course, it wasn't working. I was able to complete the job with an unbent paperclip once I knew how they came apart.
Good video but it didn't answer my question. On the older type of this bracelet they use a different pin. After you refit it the pin no longer retains its hold within the link. Have you done a video to show how to get round this problem?
Many thanks for your most helpful video-tutorial Peter! Your video made me confident I can adjust my new Seiko watches' bracelet in a comfort of my own home just fine!
You just put those pins back in the opposite way that they came out - watch the movie at 5:28 when the pin is removed, and at 6:17 (The expanded part of the pin was at the bottom when you removed it, and it was at the top when you replaced it.)
haha holy crap im trying to see s tutorial to change my bracelet and i was like.. did i click on the right video coz i dont see a toyota! lmao tnx for the laugh and the video.
it looks like he put the pin in backwards. when he removed it, the larger end was at the bottom, when inserting it, the larger end was at the top. I'm confused.
Broke like 3 pins trying to remove a link from a seiko 200m diving. Am doing something wrong or what is happening. The fucking pins just out do the pin and it bends and brakes. I think I should just drive my cursed ass to a fucking shop and let them do this fucked up trade secret

Thats what it looked like to me Don.
Yes, I think the pin is put back in poinitng in the wrong way.

Broke two sim pins on this! Need something harder! Also took 3 links out, but it sits better if you take them all from the nearside (bottom of watch)

Thanks Peter - got myself a new Seiko 5 Sports today and needed a resize and this video was a perfect explanation
Can you do this without a pin removal tool ?
Do Seiko 5 sport watches use cotter pins or "pin and collar/pipe" type pins?
4:44 No. That one ( with a bit of head) was on the bottom when you took it apart, the other was on the top.
4:31 thought 4:49 - Go back a few seconds and watch the pin when you first remove it. The split end was on the BOTTOM, and the smooth end was on the TOP - right? Thanks for the content.
Very good. But how do I remove links when there are no pin holes on the sides?

What if you don’t have that purple tool though?
Awesome video! Do you also do the Toyota maintenance videos?
Děkuju Petr. My Czech is terrible, but allow me to say that this video was absolutely výborný.
Brilliant! Well explained, I adjusted my strap in about 5 minutes.
One tip, you'll be able to pull quite hard on the strap and force it out. It won't break
Fantastic. So helpful. Fits perfectly now with no scratches. Thank you so much Peter. 👍

Had this same problem. Now the pins just come straight out. I fucking hate these braclets.

Extremely helpful. Thanks a lot!
Awesome information. Thank you!
Well done Peter J. Thank you.
Thank you, very helpful!
thank you! i had no idea there was micro adjustment
After all that explanation and u still put the pin back in the wrong direction 😝
had to scroll to long for this
great video thank you
Awesome video, but watch at 1.5 speed lol
Thanks for this helpful video.

Excellent video
You put the pin back in the wrong way around old son....
We all know that we want to know how to remove the permanent link to make it shorter!.🤔
This will get a lot of views today
Thank you habibi

Thank you very good

Nice watch!
Could you PLEASE just get to the point and the title of the video?
Great if you have the tools. Not so great if you don't have them and you've wasted your time watching the video only to learn that.
You're right Damian. You should probably just end it all. Call it quits.
