The scenes are from the movie "Johnny Got His Gun" The most heart breaking, soul crushing movie I've ever seen and I'm 80. The ending left me emotionally drained.
Four Horsemen, Master of Puppets, Sanitarium, Fade To Black, blackened, Motorbreath, Battery, sad But True… any song off their first 4 albums. Few gems after that
….and this is just ONE reason of so many why Metallica is considered the best band ever by so many people🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘. To this day they still sell out stadiums and arenas worldwide no matter the capacity faster than you can spell the word “music”. Next one; “Master of Puppets” live in Manchester 2019…75,000 fans going crazy to the song and the guys killed it to perfection even though it is raining heavily…a must see 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘…MUCH MUCH MUCH MORE METALLICA
Have you ever served your country? In combat? 20yr combat medic here. War grinds people up in all kinds of ways, not all visible. Please remember them and their sacrifices.
Great reaction. It's alot to take in the first time you watch it. Metallica bought the rights to the movie to use in the video. Yeah, the drumming is supposed to mimic the sound of a machine gun. I was 18 when this video premiered on MTV. It was huge, Metallica's first music video. Amazing song and video but it's a double edged sword for some 80s old school Metallica fans. Suddenly this song is being played on mainstream radio stations. And people who looked down on me for liking Metallica suddenly liked Metallica.
Nice catch with the whole "double bass drum/machine gun" effect. A lot of fans fail to catch that. Their music will have LOTS of symbolism like that......for example, there is a melodic interlude in the middle of Master Of Puppets, which is the "euphoria" of a drug high. It's a deep but awesome rabbit-hole to go down. Liked and sub'd for more Metallica.
Excellent reaction this one hits hard Five Finger Death Punch does one about war called Wrong Side Of Heaven worth checking out and yea the drummer is double bassing two foot pedals later y’all.❤️😎🇺🇸
Support from Serbia...Best 3 old song!Metallica-turn the page(video),Pantera-cementary gates and Nightwish-devil and deep dark....amazing combination vocal!!!Stay heavy
I know some people have mentioned the movie scenes from Johnny Got His Gun, but I suggest reading the book before seeing the movie, as parts of the movie can be strange and hard to follow and the book explains it more clearer.
It would truly be living in hell not being able to hear, speak, blind and even touch and mobility of any kind..just living inside your brain...we all know that would drive us INSANE!!! Poor guy living in his own hell for "Democracy" Really? Great reaction guys..keep it up
Great reaction! There are a bunch of great songs off of their first 5 albums. Some highlights I would definitely suggest - Master of Puppets, Fade to Black, Ride the Lightning, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Sad But True, Orion, Creeping Death, Four Horsemen, Seek and Destroy, and Disposable Heroes. Looking forward to seeing more reactions.
React to Metallica "Day that never comes" , "Disposable Heroes Live mexico 2009", "Master of Puppets 1989 live in seattle", "Fade to Black", "Unforgiven" so much to react to that's just the tip of the iceberg! Love y'alls channel! Keep grindin!
Speaking of amazing drummers, check out Danny Carey from TOOL. You will NOT be disappointed. Nothing against Lars - he's definitely one of the greats, for sure. But if you really want your mind blown, Danny is phenomenal! Some say, he's part octopus. It's a stretch, I kno...but seeing is believing. Anyway, TOOL is a journey or experience in and of itself...they are like no other. So fair warning!! I'd probly start my journey from the beginning and go with Sober from the Undertow album. Either live or studio, it doesn't matter. Live, you get to see the experience...studio, you get to hear/feel the experience, of course (better audio with studio version, imo). And there are plenty of songs to check out later so you really can't go wrong. Baby steps, my friends! Also, Alice in Chains - Love Hate Love, Live at the Moore Theater. Arguably, one of the best live performance on the planet! Annnnnd headphones are a must - just saying. Especially if/when you go on your TOOL journey Better put your seatbelts on, kids...you're in for one hell of a ride!! Morpheus: This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.
IMO, listen to the studio version on your own for One, I think you'll appreciate it more. Then, check out Blackened, the studio version, then the live '89 Live Shit, Binged, and Purge. Or many others you can find, because this is just the beginning.
Subbed! Request:Opeth:Ghost of Perdition Live at Red Rocks Amphitheater Dimash:SOS( arguably the greatest vocalist on the planet with a shit ton of fans who watch reactions to him and offer all info on this phenomenal talented guy)
Another song about war and veterans to check is "Five Finger Death Punch" - Wrong Side of Heaven . It gives a lot information about war , soldiers . stats and useful information . They also have also other songs about war and military veterans and their struggles
A great example of the War Machine that defends our country! Anything off of Metallicas first 4 albums is fire...Kill'em All 1983, Ride the Lightning 1984, Master of Puppets 1986, And Justice for All 1988✌💖☮
That album is called "...And Justice for All." Each song is about some other kind of injustice. This is about how we treat soldiers when they come back from wars. It's very fitting they picked this story and movie.
I'm extremely happy to have been introduced to your channel very early. I really enjoy seeing your reactions to music I grew up listening to. Now that you've experienced a bit of Metallica, Pink Floyd and Rush, I believe it's time you begin your journey into experiencing Tool. Start with 'The Pot' and the Tool army will guide you deeper.
Great reaction y’all! Y’all finally got to hear One. Since yall listened to One, do me a favor & can I recommend the song Rooster by Alice In Chains. It’s very similar & it is about one of the band members dad serving time in Vietnam. Do the official music video. You won’t be disappointed! AIC kicks A$$!! Funny thing is Metallica & AIC were rivals but buddies back in the day when the original lead singer Layne Staley was still alive. Layne’s voice is on another level like no other in his genre. But y’all got to play Rooster now that yall played One lol
Some other great Metallica songs to consider are "Master of Puppets," "Creeping Death," (which is about Moses from the Bible), and "For whom the bell tolls." These songs are straight fire!! 🤘😎🔥
Another great reaction it a interesting song , don't forget to react to the Righteous Brothers - Unchained Melody for the best ever vocal you have ever listen too.
Nice reaction. I hope you will do some live Metallica. Preferably from their latest shows. 2023 - 2024. You will find them on Metallicas TH-cam channel. All those live videos are super high quality. :)
Greetings from Canada. Best of luck with your channel, guys. Hopefully you will find a way to improve the audio, I think it needs a direct line maybe? At some point you need some good headphones also, best way to experience these great tunes. I hope you'll check out my favorite Metallica song, Ride the Lightning. I could give you suggestions for days. Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction, In My Darkest Hour, Peace Sells. Oh, and please avoid live versions. Those are OK for subsequent listening. I'll be watching! 😃
Many people accused them of becoming too commercial because of this album. Clearly that was incorrect. This song is such a great and epic story of tragedy. It loses luster(in people's minds) as great writing, because of the hardcore music. That is a sad fact. You two understood perfectly. That's the band's goal from a creative standpoint. Well done!
I recommend the next Metallica song fade to black. I cry every time I hear it. By the way I subscribed to your channel yesterday. I think you guys are awesome ❤
Enter sandman live in Russia or for whom the bell tolls Cliff ‘em all version by Metallica or if you want something new by a different band Jinjer doing Pisces is a very talented band
You should do System of a down BYOB. Also Metallica, no leaf clover with the SF symphony. Im writing this as you are finishing up. Metallica has way more great songs. So does System of a down.
Hi guy, I was subscribed BUT for some strange unknown reason I was unsubscribed, I am not certain how far back I ended up unsubscribed. but glad to be back...
Apparently you never saw the movie. Nurse discovered she could communicate with him by tapping Morse code on his chest and him responding with head banging in code. Kept repeating "kill me" When the military discovered it, to save face they covered up the fact that he was consciously aware, fired the nurse and when they wheeled him into that room to spend the rest of his life in "nothingness" I was literally sick to my stomach.
The scenes are from the movie "Johnny Got His Gun" The most heart breaking, soul crushing movie I've ever seen and I'm 80. The ending left me emotionally drained.
I'll be honest. Metallica One made me a metal head but I don't want to see the movie that inspired it.
This song is number ONE on my list of Metallica songs.
Four Horsemen, Master of Puppets, Sanitarium, Fade To Black, blackened, Motorbreath, Battery, sad But True… any song off their first 4 albums. Few gems after that
Bleeding Me or The Outlawn Thorn 99 simphony, pure magic
I call this a 3 tier song... listen once for the words and once for the music and then once for the whole
And when listening to the music, do the album version, not the video.
Amen
GREATEST MUSIC VIDEO OF ALL-TIME!!!
I'm not a veteran, but this hard has hit me so hard for years. I was born disabled and had multiple surgeries throughout life. Love this song.
Headphones guys it really makes a huge difference
Have you ever served your country? In combat? 20yr combat medic here. War grinds people up in all kinds of ways, not all visible. Please remember them and their sacrifices.
😢😢😢❤️❤️❤️🇺🇸
This song/video hits so much harder as an adult than it did as a young man.
Awesome reaction, especially what’s going on today thanks 🙏
Disposable hero's live from Mexico city 🔥
The bass guitar is amazing on this entire album. Lol
Great reaction. It's alot to take in the first time you watch it. Metallica bought the rights to the movie to use in the video. Yeah, the drumming is supposed to mimic the sound of a machine gun. They have so many amazing songs. Fade to Black, For Whom The Bell Tolls, Master of Puppets just to get started with.

Not the same sound. Those who know, know. Can you tell the difference between an M60(The Pig) and a M240B?
I can.
One of my favorites of theirs is actually a cover, Breadfan. Great song
Excellent reaction this one hits hard Five Finger Death Punch does one about war called Wrong Side Of Heaven worth checking out and yea the drummer is double bassing two foot pedals later y’all.❤️😎🇺🇸
Good job you too👊🏽⚡️I recommend 2 songs, (1) “Disposable heroes”, and the national anthem, “Don’t tread on me “..
Metallica is famous of their live perfomances, try something from their most famous live concerts from Seattle 89, btw this song kill on it 🔥🔥🔥

A masterpiece by Metallica
Alice in chains - love hate love live at the Moore theater 🔥🔥
@@ronduffield1939 Layne hit the peak on his octaves in that performance at the Moore. Idk if anyone has ever hit that octave before! 🔥

The nurse wanted to END his misery. But the military wouldn't let HER do it. HOW SAD. Living out your life with only your inner self until you die.
Apparently you never saw the movie. Nurse discovered she could communicate with him by tapping Morse code on his chest and him responding with head banging in code.
