I love it too, and I feel the need to plead with you to reconsider that bands like this are not made anymore. While we all have our own unique tastes, I encourage you to use youtube to find new(er) stuff. Maybe you haven’t gotten the right launch pad yet to get a good algorithm going, idk…. While totally unique in their own right, I have a sneaking suspicion that you MIGHT also enjoy Pure Reason Revolution. Check them out if you haven’t already.

I received the American Recordings 1995 CD sampler when I got "Comix Zone" for the Sega Genesis for Christmas. And this song was included with it. I would listen to it over and over again. You don't hear music like this anymore (at least to me anyways). I'm glad that there are people who still listen to this song and still enjoy it. :D

    I can see
    See the signs
I've been waiting here for you
    But nothing's getting through
    I am gone
    Up in the clouds
    Praying I can turn
    Turn myself around
    I gave it a year
    I hoped it wouldn't happen
    Now it's here
    It took so long
    I can't carry on
I know the reason that you left me
You had nothing more to give me
    No more love
    I can see
    See your eyes
I can feel your heavy stare
I run my fingers through my hair
I am high as one can be
    And I hope I don't come down
I hate when I come down
    I knew you lied
Took my life into your hands
    You just don't understand
How it feels to be free
Know the reason that you left me
You had nothing more to give me

I flew from St. Louis to Boston to see David's acoustic show at TT the Bear's in 2001 I think. He wore his pajamas and played the Depeche Mode song "Stripped"... he also had to stop one song and restart it because he got choked up in tears. After the show I talked to him for about 30 minutes and he was so down to earth, we traded AIM info and talked about why GLU broke up. I had so much respect for him and can say he will always be on the list of the most influential people in my life. RIP

to those who mentioned the layne staley comparisons: dave was a good friend of mine. one day during a final 2 week visit with him in Manayunk, as we walked through downtown philly, trying to decide which cheesesteak place to eat at, he mentioned how much he loved layne's music and how his life mirrored staley's. he said he felt he would even die like layne, who had died the previous year. indeed, he and layne both died at age 34 after years of heroin abuse. HOWEVER, dave WAS clean when he died.

They played with real instruments live. Besides I'm sure this is more exciting then to watch them program keyboards, and synthesizers. NIN does the same thing. And they are both honest.

@dilandinho76 Come on, you can't be THAT old, now. It's all a state of mind, dude. Embrace this part of you life. Every day is a gift! You should live every day as if it is your last. One day, unfortunately, it WILL be. Take what God gives you, Be thankful for it and spread love and unforgettable memories while you still have a chance. Peace, love and God's abundant blessings, I pray for you!! Love, Flowr

Remember guys how we went to blockbuster music.
They changed it to warehouse music, because of billboards records
I was mad because of that. If anybody knows how I feel about that.
Let me know. Went to warehouse music- you can not open the cd wrap anymore. you can not listen to your music. This made me mad.
I am not a mad guy, just for the truth.

@fiveliter302 They were awesome fiveL.302. Ignore these musical know nothings and let popular opposition know you are obviously doing something right . If a predominantly evil world is against you , take it as a compliment and know you areand don't waste time thowing pearls before swine. They willnever understand! Love and Peace -Your Friend, Flowr

Can you say Alice In Chains. Damn guess its not so funny when he died just like his obvious idol. Good thing Im a Pumpkins fan. Dont see Corgan dying of a drug overdose. Anywho this has Alice In Chains written all over it. Must suck to have lived in someone else's shadow and nothing to show for it.

i saw GLU in this little shit place that year playing this killer stuff. they actually gave me their RECORD for free that they were selling; not the CD, but the VINYL! shit; i hope i still have it... they were great and never got the attention i believe this band deserved. RIP David, and RIP GLU!!!!

Funny, first time I heard this song was during the credits of Johnny Mnemonic. I think i like associating the song to cyberpunk more then an environmental hazard rockout.

@goldteefforerbody Do you have an argument to back that up or is that all you have to say? If you don't like a band then that's totally cool - just do what I do and DON'T GO TO THEIR TH-cam VIDEOS. It's much easier than you might think.

@revelwoodie, you're not nuts...at least about there being another vid. I shot it, and it was dark with projected images of the movie "Johnny Mneumonic" on the band and on the set, which was a long narrow room.

I loved the ad I saw before this video: Do you wanna see videos like this? (cute girls on camera) Then they proceed to tell you,how you don't..uh..no wait,I said yes,I do want to see cute girls I don't care about your stupid animations, yea, bring the cute girls on.idc what quality or special FX they got on their youtube videos..nope,last time I checked cute girls can do anything & I'm more entertained than googly doodle videos,so js' No More Love, now..on another note, who here in 2021 Got Turned on to GLU with Johnny Mneumonic? (PS: Millenials watch it,but don't expect much, it's a Mystery Science Theater 3000 movie at best, & google that if you don't get the reference, lol) 90's culture was awesome..If could live out my life in any Decade it would the 90's cause you had the weird wacky 80's just past & us #GenX'er's making up new creative shhhh..so it's the best

It's rather idiotic when bands deny their obvious electronic sounds and don't show any keyboarder or synthesizer users in their music videos.

They Clearly followed AIC sound and style, the singer David, took on the image of Layne Staley , and at least Rick Ruben thought that copying them would work. I do like this song though, but it did not last. I have read that some members of this band would "Rather do Drugs, than make music" and that is Sad. Rest in Peace David.
