Did not think to use a laser level to check and align things in pottery. Nice idea 😊

Oh so gorgeous! So cool how the impact of that effect kind of continues to sneak up on you for a good while after the first glimpse or two. Seriously.

I miss this so much. I took a class on pottery in collage and kept saying I was going to go back and audit it for kiln access and life happened. I should build a kiln at some point in my life.

I love this glaze. Also that bare clay is an interesting color when fired and goes perfectly with the glazes. I use a black clay out of California called night clay it's interesting how the glazes look different on a darker clay. If this glaze on Glazy? I would be interested in testing it out on my night clay. If it's available. I completely understand if you want to keep it to yourself because it is really stunning. Great video I especially enjoyed the select on trimming since this is the biggest place I need to improve.

The recipe isn't on glazy yet as there will be a blog post to explain it and I haven't quite finished that. The recipe it's based on is up there if you want a starting point in the meantime though

@@OldForgeCreations I have done an excel spreadsheet to do a color run with your five ingredient floating base glaze. I figured that was a good starting point for me. I just got my kiln so I don't need to fire at the community kiln anymore. I can't wait to do my first firing. 😊
