Thank you for this video. My sweater wardrobe is hanging behind you. Just swap out the green for a burgundy and gray. I'm so glad to see that I am not the only one who wears basic cardigans. I was starting to feel passe because most people don't bother to "try" to dress nicely anymore (US). I love to wear a cardigan and a scarf, makes an instant outfit. P.S. I love your channel. It's refreshing and different than other channels.
I have those same colors except for the cream.
I am also in the states and would like to ask where did you purchase your cardigans? I find it's so hard to find good quality not made in China (fast fashion) which I am trying to avoid.

cardigans are simply put, elegance achieved with much, much versatility, so doable!
I have always adored cardigans. I have 4 long ones for colder weather that go a little bit beyond my hips and 3 with a regular length.
They are incredibly versatile and you always look chic wearing them.

I love cardigans. Thanks for sharing. So simple yet chic. Your lightweight cardigans are so delicate and feminine. We get very cold weather here so my cardigans are of thicker wool. I only use natural fibers for my cardigans.

I enjoyed how you opened all the possibilities cardigans offer. I like the idea of toning down , or perking up an outfit using a cardigan. I especially enjoyed your cream-colored cardigan's lovely texture. That is not so common in the cardigans I see, and I think it definitely sets it apart from others, making it special, and an easy way to dress up your outfit! I take a cardigan with me even in the summer. Here in the U.S. there is air conditioning everywhere and I find I need to wear one inside. A simple cardigan in the right color can class up a tee shirt and slacks.
I LOVE cardigans! I only have a few, but plan on buying more!
Thank you. I just went to a second hand store and found a light weight merino wool forest green cardigan for $3.99 and a cream colored Cotten blend in a light taupe colored cardigan (it is almost cream) with pearl buttons for $2.99.
Goodwill has a ton of fine quality sweater for about four dollars. I don't know why people buy them, never wear them and then donate them. I have top notch quality wool and silk sweaters that I love.

@@TippyPuddles I adore anything linen and have often found "new with original tag" linen clothes at thrift stores for three or four dollars, and they would be so expensive retail! My wild guess is that it has to do with "hand wash, line dry only". People see that tag, perhaps too late; and find they can't be bothered. Machine wash and dry only, or out it goes! I love linen so much that I would not even want to put it in the dryer if I could... ;-) Probably the same with your nice sweaters. People don't want to make the extra effort.

I love cardigans especially when the air conditioners get turned on causing me to freeze when inside during the summer. I have black and beige and a few white cardigans. Love your channel!!!

I work for a huge Furniture store and my office is a space near the warehouse. So we have air conditioning on 3 seasons out of the year!😮 Needless to say I am always freezing. I wear cardigans all year round... love them.

I can't tell you how much I prefer jeans with a little flare than skinny jeans.
Flared jeans/pants are so much more flattering I think.

Wear my cardigan buttoned and backward (buttons down the back) pair with pearls or another style of necklace...even a great scarf.

I just want to respond to a comment I saw here in response to a comment about Land's End's cashmere cardigans. I ordered one in a gorgeous blackberry color. However, the buttonhole side was backed with grosgrain ribbon, with tight buttonholes, making it very hard to button. Also instead of mother of pearl buttons, they substituted plastic (ugh!) buttons. I have a lovely black cardigan I ordered from Land's End before the company was bought out by Sears.
That cardigan was very well made with none of the cheap cost-saving measures Sears is using now. I returned the blackberry cardigan and am now looking on eBay for better quality cardigan sweaters. Sorry if I'm ranting, but I hate to see a company's quality go down, and I wanted to let the petite cardigan wearer know about Land's End quality where cashmere cardigans is concerned.

I am an hour glass @ i wear cropped cashmere cardigans in all colours i love them ...i would love to be able to do long length but then my hips look huge ...great advice from you ...love the pearls very "Channel "X
I have the same issue. I wear boden cropped cashmere all the time. Some longer cardigans can be belted or even for summer, tied at the waist if they are longer. It makes them shorter and cute with full summer skirts. xoxo
I am also hour glass shape and petite. I have 2 long cardigans without buttons. I wear a size larger so they skim my hips. Of course I match them to what I am wearing and it seems to work for me. Maybe it can work for you too.

cardigan for town rather than a more formal jacket.
I also like patterned cardigans.
I like a shorter one with wide leg trousers
and a longer one with narrow jeans.

Hello Marie-Anne, I have just discovered your channel, I enjoy it very much. I also like round neck cardigans, which I wear as tops and sometimes back to front so the buttons are at the back, with a scarf.

Thank you for this video, Marie-Anne. I am wondering how you store you cardigans, please? If you store them on hangers as you have in the video, how do you stop the hangers leaving indents or marks on the shoulders?
I use padded hangars if the sweater isn't too heavy. If it is heavy and I am afraid the weight will stretch the sweater, I gold it carefully and use a padded hangar made for pants

I always hang my cardigans to air out after wearing them, wash as needed. Then I fold them and store them on a shelf in my closet.
Marie I like cardigans, I think they dress up a shirt and pants well! I think that white cardigan will go good over a plan black dress!

I'm a sweater and jacket collector. I can't seem to help myself as they are so handy to just pop on over a dress or top and they really add some style. I've now started acquiring blazers but all have come from the thrift store as I love the idea of a blazer and how they look on you and other influencers but I'm not sure how they will be on me. All of my sweaters, jackets, and blazers are natural fabrics. I'm amazed at what you can find in really good condition in the second hand stores.

Although I do agree with “classic “ style, when a style trend appeals to my sense of personal style I will adopt. I also prefer to be a trend setter not a trend follower. For me it’s all about what style suits me.
I suppose this is more of an American viewpoint.

Marie-Anne, is it best to hang your cardigans or fold them?
I love cardigans, but the problem I have is if I buy one in my size, it is often tight around the busy and pulls when buttoned. If I don’t button it, then it looks ok. If I go 1 size larger where I can button the cardigan, then it is too large in the shoulders. I hate to buy an item that I will probably not button, but what is the alternative? Thank you for your advice.

pauline doyle Why so negative? Lands End and Lord & Taylor both have them in over a dozen colours. They come out every Fall.

missmayflower Sorry, not meaning to be negative , I'm really struggling to find ANYTHING that fits, even petite I usually end up having to alter clothes, feeling very down - I've put on weight for the first time ever and gone up 4 bra sizes - hormones!!!
