I enjoyed seeing the process of styling the outfits, and deciding what works, and what doesn't. Words I'll never forget: "Let the outfit speak to you" and add something of the "inattendu", the unexpected, to your outfit. Good advice!
I wear long sleeve linen shirts over tank tops all the time (maybe too often). They actually keep me cooler because it traps cooler air next to the surface of the skin. It's not just me, studies have been done to prove this. Silk does the same. It also prevents direct sun on the skin which makes me feel hotter in addition to potential burns. Linen works where I live in spring, summer and fall.
As always, great ideas! I had to giggle to myself at a couple of your matchups as l wore the same and similar outfits this spring and summer in Italy and France. I packed seven silk tanks, 6 linen shirts(all in mix/match colors), three linen trousers, and two heavier trousers in compatible colors. I wore one of the heavy pairs of trousers, with a tank, a linen shirt and a white blazer, and a rain coat on the plane. I also brought a black blazer and two lightweight skirts. Everything, including the blazers, washed like a dream, and only the linen shirts needed a touch-up once in a while with an iron. I never felt under or over dressed, even when in Paris for a month. It may sound like too much to pack, but because of the lightweight fabrics l chose, they didn't even fill my rolling carry-on! If l was chilly l layered and wore a blazer. That happened most often in Rome and Florence in the months of April and May. And, in the evening on the water in Venice the last two weeks of May. I also wore layers in Paris in the evening. Because l chose mix/match, l didn't get sick of wearing what l brought. Marie-Anne, l enjoy your posts, your sense of style, and your sense of humor! I may be seventy and semidisabled, but l still want to look stylish! Your posts have helped me adjust my style as l age, without falling into the trap of "old and frumpy"!! Merci beaucoup, mon amie❤😊
I've taken your advice from videos several years ago, loved the blue and white strip long sleeve shirt over a tank, love the comfort. I'm not comfortable wearing a tank out in public so this idea was great for me.

I live in the tropics and a shirt over a cami is my work attire. I have a blue linen shirt - blue is my colour - and it provides for so many combinations.
I love the pink color on you! And I also wear a shirt as a jacket as office buildings and stores are often too cold from air conditioning here in the US.
I love the pink shirt. I wear linen all summer. It is so much cooler than man made fabrics.. I really like the red shoes and belt, but I think that the orange shoes and belt would look great too. ❤️❤️

Hi, I am a floral designer. I often mix red roses with pink roses, usually a bright one. Sometimes i will also mix in a softer pink rose. These arrangements always sell well, especially for Valentine's Day. This is not the usual combo, so it catches the eye. It's a beautiful combination... Mary

I am going out to a casual concert tonight and I thought this would be a good item to wear...but I haven't figured out what to wear them with - I was just unsure. I love how classic and simple those Ralph Lauren sandals are, and no toe rings or thongs, which cut into my skin. They are elegant and look very comfy.🙂

As a petite would probably think of darker strappy sandals and maybe a slightly larger belt with a small amount of bling to bring the eye up OR maybe no belt but a smaller neck scarf in a brighter color. I think the pink shirt tied at the front would be great with the denim skirt. A bit more relaxed-looking than tucked in. 🤷♀️ I have a very similar shirt, as yet unworn! So you’ve inspired me to experiment with it.

I've always loved pink & red, pink & orange together, because these combinations remind me of the Indian women's fabulously colorful and vibrant saris which I find extremly beautiful. Red belt definitely! Especially if you put the shirt to the side (example: if you get warmer) The red belt, nails & shoes compliment the navy! Love this outfit. Also agree about accessories & not over-accessorizing. Keep saying it! 👍 p.s. Laughed about your comment on the "mumsie" sandals 😂

I've worn red and pink together for years in the summer, and have always received compliments. Perhaps some are put off by the concept because--in my experience---it truly depends on the shade of pink to make it work?? With a deep, vibrant pink like MarieAnne's gorgeous linen blouse, the red is elevated, chic and young. :)
Many good combinationas, I wear linen shirts all summer, the best fabric for the summer. Linen trousers and dresses as well. Pink is not my color, differnt shades of blue is what I usually wear.

I try to approach dressing the way I look at a painting, but only some people understand. The combination of olive green with fucsia I had seen in silk scarves in England, when I was a student and I liked it but just in that scale. I learn a lot from you and sometimes confirm my intuition. ¡Gracias! PD: I couldn’t cope with the toenail varnish 😱😂😘.

My favorite silhouette/shape is the denim skirt outfit, my favorites for colors are the outfits with the navy, and the olive green. I love most pink/red/burgundy and green combinations (except for the Christmassy one). Those warm-toned peachy or coral pinks look great with many greens, too, especially khaki/olive. Wearing only neutrals, especially black, is still big here in the US, but I like wearing colors, too, and prints. More options = more fun, in my opinion.

I liked all the outfits, but I will say that with the olive skirt, it seemed fitted around the hips so in my opinion, it worked with the shirt tucked in. I would have chosen a lighter pink top, however, and maybe a nice scarf on a handbag or around the neck if it wasn't too hot.

Weather warning says super hot … thinking to wear linen, which also my preferred fabric for summer. I have a pink shirt and will pair it with white denim skirt inspired by your pink and blue denim 😊 my favorite shirt brand is With Nothing Underneath (WNU). I liked all the outfits, but I will say that with the olive skirt, it seemed fitted around the hips so in my opinion, it worked with the shirt tucked in. I would have chosen a lighter pink top, however, and maybe a nice scarf on a handbag or around the neck if it wasn't too hot.
I have the same almost shirt but in my favorite bleu. Thanks for the ideas. I wear with the jeans skirt (dark style@co) to the midle of my knee cap; love and get the compliments...

A linnen shirt over a tank top is my summer uniform, so versatile. I’m not a fan of pink though, I would prefer a licht blue or olive green 🫶🏻
