  • Hey viewers! Now its my turn to get a new bike :D After careful consideration I chose the 2022 Norco Fluid FS1. I bought it from Velozophie in Quebec and got it shipped over. Great shop and service for those in Canada looking for a great, safe and fast way to ship your new bike home!

    Definitely the best value trail bike out this year. I got the A2 which is no slouch either but if I had the extra $ for sure would go A1 with that upgraded suspension and drivetrain.

    Great video, like the humbling moment at the end. New to the sport, and am flip flopping between the Polygon Siskiu T8 and the 2023 Fluid FS A2. Good to see some videos for the 2023 Norco Fluids starting to appear.

    Congrats, if this had been around last year when I got my Optic it would have been a super tough choice and think the Fluid would have won out. Nothing like a NBD.

      Great idea! I will definitely do that once the weather gets better here in Ontario!

    Is this still your everyday trail bike! Can you comment on the weight and is it a noticeable factor at all?? Thank you.

    Super nice, so you have both FS1 and FS2, any ideas for me, I don’t know if I need spend $1000 more for fs1

    • @mapleleafmtb8399
      @mapleleafmtb8399  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The FS1 is my current bike and the FS2 is my friends. Both are very similar. I wanted top of the line suspension on mine which is mainly the only reason I got it, but it in my opinion was worth the $1000 because you get the full XT groupo, a 1400$ fork vs a 700$ and a better shock. Again the ride is similar but, overall the FS1 is worth the upgrade and should be more reliable. If you want a full sus thats super capable the fs2 is all you need and is all i recommend.

    Did it come with the clear frame protector already on the downtube or did you habe to stick it on yourself?

      Luckily this one came with the downtube protector.

    What are your thoughts on the bike for an all mountain setup?

    • @mapleleafmtb8399
      @mapleleafmtb8399  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd say after riding it, It is a long travel trail bike, but It definitely rides like an All Mountain bike. Its really all anyone needs, great suspension that feels bottomless, plenty of gearing and good brakes. Very satisfied with this bike. It'll do anything you throw at it which is exactly what Norco engineered it to do.

    What size do you think a 5’5-5’6 rider would need? I’m right on the fence between the size S and M.. hopefully I’ll end up riding one on the trails.

    • @mapleleafmtb8399
      @mapleleafmtb8399  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Id say stick with a small, this bike feels pretty large at first when I was getting used to it, but now It feels just right for me. You could technically ride a medium, but I fear it might be too large and sluggish. Norco has the rider size system on their website where you measure the requirements and plug them in and it will give you your optimized frame size. Best advice is to go to a shop and try the bike out for size. (Doesn't have to be the same model since they are all identical when it comes to frame sizing.)

      Thanks, for sure I’m going to do a demo and try it on a trail. On the norco site it puts me in the medium, I’m right in between 5 5” and 5 6” so if I put 5 5” in it says the small 😂 anyways thanks for the help I’ll go demo when I can!

    Hey, did you end up selling the Norco?

    • @mapleleafmtb8399
      @mapleleafmtb8399  ปีที่แล้ว

      No actually, I took the listing off. Ill give it a proper chance in spring with better tires. Maxxis Assegai front and Maxxis Aggressor rear. Although I may end up selling it because I am going to college soon and I need money for that.
