In todays video me and @anderson.gunn finally accomplished Adams run, the longest double black trail here at Hydrocut trails. We later finished off with Fluffy bunny and monkey boy, two of my favour...

Custom hardtail review! Specialized Pitch 27.5
Hi, great vid. I have the same bike and am wandering if you can make the suspension any softer other than using the toggle on top of the fork to change the stiffness?
I just got this bike today
A downgrade to a full suspension bike
bro what happend where are the next vids?
Good video, I believe it’s 40nm to tighten the cassette.
Did the bike come with the valves and sealant or were they purchase separate?
Great how to. I just ordered the Pawls and Springs. You just made my job easier. Thank you.
Why did you need an adapter for the front brakes?
What are the torque settings for the Seat post, Stem, and handlebars?
Can u lock the back shock?
Hey there , a little late for the party but wanted to ask if , for 5.9 ,you are happy with the large frame or could have gone for a medium? I'm the same height and debating the right size for a fluid a2. Very nice review BTW
I just got the 2021 EX7. It is sooo good! Mhh! I did have to turn the minolinks though. It felt weird in the low position.
Gracias por tu aporte me ayudó mucho! Éxitos!!
if you add maxxis tires and a cushcore on both you will be able to corner like a savage. i have the same bike!
Hey bud, I just ordered a set of these 6120s, so you said the caliper nut size is 5/18th? Is that the same size at the lever? Ty and great vid 👍🏼
I got a Norco storm 1
Can you have 203mm rotors in the rear with an adapter
yes
Ibis ripley or norco fluid ?
Will you be doing a follow up video? Thanks
So whats the diffrence if you have rapid drive 108t with shimano 10 freehub or microspline !? Is it same just more quality in microspline !?
Is this still your everyday trail bike! Can you comment on the weight and is it a noticeable factor at all?? Thank you.
Is this still your everyday trail bike and can you comment on the weight? A noticeable factor at all? Thank you.
Thanks man. Just changed my pawls, they were sticking (already had 6) and used this as my guide. I subscribed to your channel
Hello my friend can you tell us the site where you bought your little graiss bottle from
Another question :) How does 3 pawls give you 54 points of engagement? and 6 pawls 108 points of engagement? Only 3 pawls (in the first case) and 6 pawls (in the second case) can engage with the teeth at any one time. So shouldn't 3 pawls give you 3 points of engagement, and 6 pawls 6 points of engagement?
Some say that increasing the engagement of the hub weakens the hub. Is this true? If it is, could someone explain why?
This is probably because there is more friction on the machined parts inside the hub from the addition of 3 pawls spinning around and ratcheting. I think it makes no difference especially if you install it with the proper amount of grease.
@@mapleleafmtb8399 Hey, thanks!
I’m doing the same but only switching to XT shifter and derailleur. So you actually had to change out the freehub body if you want to use a Shimano cassette? Could I keep my SRAM eagle cassette and use the XT derailleur and shifter?
Yes, as far as I know the cassette should work. The chain may be a little finicky though. I did a full swap because the Sram cassette wore down a little to quick, it would go even faster with that tighter clutched derailleur. The Shimano cassette also has the smooth shifting technology which I do feel a difference from.
@@mapleleafmtb8399 yes, I agree. I went ahead and ordered a micro, spline, free, hot body a new XT cassette XT crank with chain ring. We are derailer and shifter.
@@donclifford7017 dont forget to order the end cap for the freehub. The one that comes stock on the bike does not work with the smaller microspline.
@@mapleleafmtb8399 yes I did order that as well. Thanks!
I've been considering one. I just need a plan on how to route the cable on my folding step through ebike.
I would try using the parktool cable routing kit, or you can make your own using a shifter wire and magnets with super glue.
Looking for my first bike,I'll be towing a bike trailer 2 kids, which one would you say its better, marlin 6,or a 2012 fuel ex7(someone selling for around 700)
Id stay away from any full suspension bikes past 2015. Parts are hard to find, and fixing them if they break can cost just as much as the bike itself. The Trek Marlin is a reliable and robust bike. I owned one for 1 year and It held up great. I'd go for that not only because its reliable, but because its a hardtail so its more efficient.
Hi , have the same bike , same colours and im just wondering if you could recommend any red metal pedals and red grips to match the colour theme .
Crank brother stamp pedals, and Ergon grips are my go to for this bike in the future.
Great review man 👍
Is that a fuel ex 7 in the background? If, so how did they compare? Which climbed better? Im on the 7 now considering the a2
Sorry for the late reply, the EX climbed better imo. The A2 is solid going up hill, but better downhill. The A2 does take some time to get used to, but its very nimble and fun after.
Nice to see a fellow Miltonian!! Looking forward to seeing the full review. Spokes N Slopes 4 life!
What’s consider a good deal? $400?
I bought used,forthe 320 eu
Can you do a comparison between the FS1 and FS2? Thanks!
Great idea! I will definitely do that once the weather gets better here in Ontario!
Is this bike 11 speed stock? Great video
Nope, it has a 12 speed Sram NX groupset.
Nice video! BTW Wrocław shield on the wall in Canada looks nice! ;)
Is this in the Lower Mainland?
Yes, located west of Milton on the end of the GTA.
@@mapleleafmtb8399looked like the bike was propped up beside the 'whale tail' at Kelso
Hello I've ordered this bike with 27.5 wheels and a large frame , I am 5'11" will this be too big?
My dad Is around 6ft and it fits him well, I would have chosen the 29" wheels because the bike does feel a little bit on the small size with the 27.5 wheels. This I think is a good thing though, because you are more in control of the bike, and it's much more playful. My dad loves the 27.5" wheels and I think you will too. If the bike is too small I believe you can return it under some circumstances with CRC. If you want to switch it out, I'd email someone from Vitus for the best advice.
@@mapleleafmtb8399 thank you

Nice bike. Nice gt350!
Thank you! Was waiting for someone to notice the shelby ;)
What size do you think a 5’5-5’6 rider would need? I’m right on the fence between the size S and M.. hopefully I’ll end up riding one on the trails.
Id say stick with a small, this bike feels pretty large at first when I was getting used to it, but now It feels just right for me. You could technically ride a medium, but I fear it might be too large and sluggish. Norco has the rider size system on their website where you measure the requirements and plug them in and it will give you your optimized frame size. Best advice is to go to a shop and try the bike out for size. (Doesn't have to be the same model since they are all identical when it comes to frame sizing.)
Thanks, for sure I’m going to do a demo and try it on a trail. On the norco site it puts me in the medium, I’m right in between 5 5” and 5 6” so if I put 5 5” in it says the small 😂 anyways thanks for the help I’ll go demo when I can!
Where can I buy this bike?
www.chainreactioncycles.com/
Should I purchase Pitch Expert(?) for 500euros. It's sold used three years old now. I would use it for work commuting in winter.
Sure, I think its a great all round bike. However, I'd recommend the Trek Marlin 5 since it is a little better suited for commuting with the bigger wheels and better optimized frame with rack mounts and etc.
My inside leg length is 29inches. I am think should I cut the seatpost. Since it is a bit difficult to touch the ground now.
If you stand over the frame of the bike and don't have an inch of clearance between your crotch and the top tube then the bike is too big for you. But, go ahead and cut down the seat post. I did it too and I've should have recommended it since I could not put the seat post all the way down for my dad.
What are your thoughts on the bike for an all mountain setup?
I'd say after riding it, It is a long travel trail bike, but It definitely rides like an All Mountain bike. Its really all anyone needs, great suspension that feels bottomless, plenty of gearing and good brakes. Very satisfied with this bike. It'll do anything you throw at it which is exactly what Norco engineered it to do.
Nice work, thing is my Surly Ghost grappler has like half /internal external design, seat tube is internal and then at the bottom of it a little opening for outside routing all the way up under the bottom tube to the steer. I wonder if can/should order and use the internal system which I would prefer... The housing on the video looks too big for outside the tube fitting. I was thinking using jagwire housing and mtb brake cable...
All housing should fit into those ports, I only included the surrounding foam to insulate the housing from rattling and making noise. I'd just go with some housing and a regular shifter cable, since thats what 99% of internal droppers use. The brake cable end would be too big for the linking bit.
my bike came with those brakes and I kind of hate them- the reach adjustment is tiny and I can not get the actuation point far enough away from the handle bars- the lever touches the grip if I pull hard enough. As far as I know there is no was to adjust that?! or am I missing something here?
Unfortunately not, the only solution I can think of is over pressurizing the brake system by a smidge. It makes the lever a little harder to fully pull in and gives more bite. I did that off camera because its not really a step in bleeding the shimano brake systems. I'd try burping the lines/system, if not try to over pressurize. If that doesn't work I dont know what to say, thats just how shimano and many other brake systems work. Try sending me a video of you pulling the lever on my Instagram so I can show my boss at the shop I work at. @maplemtb
What pads do you use? Resin?
These came with resin pads, but in the spring before I sold the bike I bought metallic pads.
Hello! How can i buy vitus bike, i am from India 😍
you can check the links in the description of the video and it should provide you with the details there.
beautiful matte boke, now you can use it well on the trails. I subscribed to your channel.
