OK so I watched the rest of the case for the The Murders at White House Farm, the thing that they found in the stairs was a gun silencer, it was hidden, and it had blood stains on it, the investigators determined that it would have been impossible for the sister to shoot herself with the silencer on because it was too long, and she couldn't reach the trigger. On top of this, Jeremy and his gf's relationship was on the rocks after the murders, and Jeremy would say things that were very susicous, he would say things like, im fed up with my family, its tonight or never, and had been talking about murdering his family before and how he would blame the sister. He would put on a very dramatic act, screaming and crying, throwing up, not being able to stand, and when he thought no one was looking, he had an ear to ear grin, it was eventually found out that Jeremy had killed his family
What's odd is that some reports say that the silencer was actually found in a first floor office in a gun closet...maybe the stairs went over that room.

He was in the military. I don't remember the branch. But he has more then likely seen things on a normal you could only imagine. Or he can block certain emotions as needed
Navy Seals have a range of skills that are overlooked by normal teachings. Many meta-actions that make for a very disarming demeanor. It’s trained into them so they may fit in and go about their business unnoticed or very quickly and quietly as well as making the adversary calm if necessary. They are trained to not only be ghosts but they are also trained to be your best friend if they are found out while being said ghost until they can disable you and whatever threats you may present that fall in line with their objectives.

I’m from Amityville and you did a great job covering the story! I wasn’t even born when the murders happened, but I grew up listening to stories about it. Ronald DeFeo actually went to work like nothing ever happened, came home and “discovered” his family dead, and then ran to the bar. The house is still there, but it looks a lot different now. When I was in Girl Scouts, I used to go trick or treating and sing Christmas carols at that house. No one ever answered the door, but it was still an experience to be on the front porch like that. Was a little creepy. Good job again!

And something I have always observed with Special ops operators is that even when they mimic hold a rifle they do it slanted and close to their bodies. That's when I know they're for real

@@samhaokip9126 it’s not slanted for no reason, usually small optics are mounted off center like a red dot etc as it’s faster to rotate the weapon while keeping eyes and barrel down range instead of a hight adjustment of rifle trying to get Red dot on top magnifying optics. It’s not done cause it looks cool, it’s just faster as you transition from for example a street or field into a house to clear rooms and exit back to a street or field where your magnifying optics lets you see more.
That demonic voice gave me chills, when I looked away I saw two black, glowing eyes an inch from my face. Turns out my Puppy is a big fan of jump scares.

I can't even imagine what the parents of the two Stillinger girls must have felt. Imagine sending your two daughters over to a friend's house for a sleepover and they're brutally murdered.
We all would come to the place and time where we meet our death. sad but true.
That's why we don't do sleepovers with our son. My bff in 5th grade asked me to spend the night one weekend, but my mom said no because it was Easter weekend. That weekend her father killed the whole family. It shows you just never know.
I think it raises more questions because when you think about it what if the killer was targeting the stillinger family. The Moores just happened to get into the crosshairs. I mean the killer was never linked to the Moore family it could’ve been somebody who had beef with the stilllingers and they just so happened to kill the moores to get to the two girls.
I looked it up, and it's said a silencer was found by some cousins much later in the "gun cabinet" under the stairs, which had Jeremy's blood and a gray hair on it. The police didn't process it as evidence correctly, but was still used to convict Jeremy, and he remains in prison till this day, all appeals being denied.
Not Jeremy's blood, Sheila's blood was in it.

In Romania you will cover the mirrors after someone dies so there’s souls not get in to a mirror
In Ireland also, though it's not as common any more.
At the time the murders took place it was the same here in the states. It still is in some rural areas. They do it so the house doesn't get haunted.
What about taken pictures? My culture we don’t take videos or pictures of our deceased, so our relatives can make their journey. As to their soul not trapped. 🙁🥲

Just binged all six episodes of The Murders at White House Farm. It's 5:30am.... I didn't think I'd pull an all nighter but it WAS that good. Basically a true-crime docudrama with very high production value. 9/10

That second story was scary as hell. Can’t believe people actually moved into the house after the massacre.
I would take a house probably at an highly discount price because murders happened there. Once they clean the mess, these houses are probably very good deals. And like any other houses, they're made of wood, brick, cement. The house I live in happens to be a murder-suicide house and I got it for a discount price and saved alot. If they wouldn't have told me, I wouldn't never knew about it. It happened in the 70's.
I don't really get why people would avoid a house like that, I would think most houses had someone died in it and it's not like there'd be huge blood stains on the walls.

From where I am from (Balkan Peninsula) we also cover the mirrors in case someone died in a household. The tradition also included the coffin being taken out through the window.
There has to be something behind it when so different and remote cultures practised similar tradition...

The cops interviewed him and noted the blood splatter on his shirt collar and sleeve but they said he looked like he’d just shaved so that’s where it was from🤦🏼♀️ the guy also left town live two seconds after the cops talked to him but he’d supposedly had signed on for several more months of his job and one girl said she’d had supposed to go in a date with him that evening but when she went to meet him he was packing super fast and said something had happened and he needed to leave.

One of the sons came out after he was grown and admitted that the book was fake. Even Jay Anson, the author, admitted the he and George made it all up.
Since the murders the house has had 4 other owners none of them have reported any hauntings. Although one owner had the address changed because of all the people that would go and gawk at their house.

I like true crime stories and anything strange dark and mysterious, but I don't usually watch those stories because the narrator usually isn't that good, but Mr. Ballen is REALLY good at storytelling, so I watch the stories he makes a lot. Sometimes I watch the same stories multiple times 😂

My dad has a friend who lived Long Island for a long time and he once talked about how a majority of the time the cops were called during the summer was because of paranormal enthusiasts and tourists loitering around and/or stopping by to take pictures of the infamous "Amityville Horror House" and refused to leave when the home owners and neighbors requested they do so. It got even worse after the movie was remade in 2005. The reason the house keeps changing hands so much is because the owners get tired of having to call the cops because people want to trespass onto their property for photos and they just want some peace and quiet.
I had family live in that house. What happened to them was horrible

After caring for my father and mother throughout the years then ending up losing my dad this past March these stories are so mind bending for me. How could anyone hurt or kill their family?! I wanted to protect my dad and still protect my mother from all harm. I don’t get it. I guess some people are just twisted.
I have chosen to always live close to my Mother to look after and care for her. The best I can do for the woman who gave me birth and cared for me when doctors didn't give me a chance. We live close and have been through much together. Not to mention the pandemic. I wouldn't change anything.

For example, heard about a case where the daughter killed their father, who sexually abused them. Certain situations, such as abuse, can drive you to the point where you believe the only way out is to kill them.
Also, a lot of murderers suffer from mental illnesses and disorders, such as narcissism.
I quit seeing my family when I left at 13 now I have a new family that cares about me blood ain't thicker than water in my opinion I ran my biological brother over with a 79 Chevy suburban I could've stopped when I saw him but I chose to stand on the skinny pedal and swerve the same way he jumped then I slammed into his truck and totaled it and I drove mine away and drove it another 7 years it was worth the reckless driving charge

I’ve been to the Villisca Axe Murder House in Iowa, they do tours. The house is super tiny and you can hear movement from almost anywhere in the home. One of the big mysteries is how nobody in the house was awoken while the other murders were taking place, especially with how many people were there and how violent the murders were. There were like 4-5 kids in total plus the parents, and the two upstairs bedrooms are connected. Also apparently after it happened the axe was allowed to be used as a tourist attraction and they let people come and handle it, which messed with the evidence and any possible DNA on it that could have helped further the investigation. A truly tragic case and a pretty eerie home…

My roommate in 1987 used to go over the history of the Amityville house. One of his details was that along with being found face down, the victims had their arms crossed at the wrist, with their foreheads resting on their hands. His story of the facts included a nunnery, and a Native American burial ground. He was a good story teller also, I learned to ask him to tell me stories during the day, and never before bedtime!
As I'm from the UK 🇬🇧 I can remember all the media coverage when this was going on. I also watched the TV series and I too watched it in one sitting and even knowing the outcome was addicted to watching it till the end! Thank you MrBallen for sharing these three very disturbing stories. 😁
