The mom being a boxer and beating the crap out of him is the biggest plot twist in history. Did not see that coming at all!!
Now imagine if she’d just whooped his ass earlier, could’ve saved themselves a world of grief.
I believe the mom was the dad. When she came in the kitchen they showed a picture of a man with blood on him. He killed his son.

Yeap, nobody can possibly understand how's it feels to have a criminal son or brother...
I cant understand why I craved 🎉wanted the son to grab the knife, and just bury It deep in his mother’s neck just to be even with his mother.
@LL 53 That and I don't know why ppl find this story so far fetched if this type of things are happening every day in America, at least the parents came out of it alive, when somebody calls it not real I've to ask them ,How about the Menendez brothers? Is that one not real also? , they massacred their parents because of money, some other girl teen killed her grandparents because they took away her iPhone in Wisconsin, and many more.... at least their son didn't killed them and he lived to tell the story..
Maybe they had some fault in him becomming like that, the dad just couldn't see his own faults because of his guilt and just end up blaming the son. Clearly he at least needed to be put on his place years ago and when they finally decide to do it's after he almost kills his sister and then the mother almost kills him, ridiculous. Though I don't think this story is real, it's reddit after all.
@@teijaflink2226 No, a great deal of your personality actually does not come from nurture but from nature. Same way when you are a nice and caring person you cant say your parents made your personality. As a parent you can love and support your child, but you cant not form their characteristics. Also even with a dificult childhood where you never felt understood, you dont "just" end up cutting your baby sibling because your parents made you mad. You have to be a psychopath to be able to do so.
Wow. With a coward who doesn't have empathy, I think it was only a matter of time before the son met someone who would just snap. I didn't expect it to be his own mom. Never underestimate the rage of a mother protecting her child. Especially if she's a boxer.
Hope the family is doing better.
Read the Reddit post. Momma passed back in 2016 and Art had moved in with his daughter and her children.

Nope she only unleashed on year.
He still could have if he didn't get medical help.
I worked in a Psychiatric residential treatment facility for many years and I can testify that kids like this do exist. They would attack staff, their peers, and destroy the building.
Yes, I met one a while back. Fifteen years old, would seem like a normal kid for a while and could even be charming, but incredibly dangerous, with no empathy or remorse, and a gleeful love of sexual violence towards women and animals. I've met some dangerous people through my job, but that kid is one of the worst. Fortunately, he's unlikely ever to be released into society because of his various diagnoses, but there's always that unnerving chance that he'll fool some bleeding heart into thinking he's somehow reformed.
And when they were all released, they formed a big group and burned down cities.
On the non professional level would you consider people like this to be "evil"? 9t just sick?
Yes i was a teacher and they do exist. I always felt that nobody believed me because "they're just kids"
@@bobsaggater3454 I think both exist. Those with illness and those just evil.
You know, these parents should take a DNA test and send it to the FBI to see if it can be matched to any unsolved murder cases. Even if they don't know where he is, at least if it matches something, they'll know who to look for.
This is a REALLY good point.
Is this implying about one of the parents being a murder?
@@antarcfroze No, this is implying that their son is a murderer. Like in the time they haven't seen him, he has probably killed several people. If say the dad puts his DNA in and there is unknown DNA on an open murder case(s) it would come back as a certain percentage match showing a father/son DNA link. So if something does hit on CODIS, they will have a description and photographs of the guy.

@Steven GENNERO Bootz Yeah, I'd watch it to see Bieber get the crap knocked out of him but he can't act for shit.
@Steven GENNERO Bootz Challenge accepted. Let me get back to you.
@Steven GENNERO Bootz Okay, so I've given it a lot of thought and these are the actors I've imagined in the roles of Art and Lisa and their son. I mean, I am convinced this story could work as a movie. I'd love to start working on a screenplay lol. So as the Dad I see John Krasinski from "A Quiet Place", as the Mother I see Mary Elizabeth Winstead from "10 Cloverfield Lane" and "Birds of Prey" (she played Huntress), because she's beautiful and she kicks ass...and as the son I see Emjay Anthony. He would be perfect. He's seventeen so his age is exactly right and he resembles both John Krasinski and Mary Elizabeth Winstead so he could definitely pass as their son. He's been mostly cast in kid roles (he played Mowgli in "The Jungle Book") but as he's getting older he's doing more adult films. Just Google his name and check him out against the other two and see if you think he'd work in the role of the son. 😁
@Steven GENNERO Bootz Thanks. I think so. 😁

@@kathytownsend6378 Beast in this context is actually a compliment. Like when someone is tough or strong, say, in sports, a lot of people will refer to them as a “beast.” And that’s why I call Lisa a “beast.” She is strong, tough and brave.
Such a great analogy👏
I've heard this story before, but never with this level of detail, it took until about half way to realise it was the same story. You know a good storyteller when they make a story you've heard before more riveting than the first time.

Yup. This "story".
Don't take this as gospel. No police reports or corroborating articles or evidence. Reddit Confessions, while believable if small things, I call bullshit on a 75 year old being enough of a Redditor and having this story to tell too.

Mr. Ballen is amazing! I suffer a lot of pain due to medical problems but when I'm listening to him I don't even notice the pain. God bless you and thank you Mr. Ballen.
What's the son's name? I wanna look him up now.
I had an angry child, he used to punch the crap out of me over and over, I would hold his hands or leave the house and stand outside, whatever I could think of. One day when he was about 7, he walked up to me and punched me out of the blue, it gave me such a fright, without thinking I instantly punched him right back, knocking him on his arse. He looked absolutely stunned. Never punched me again. He's 17 now and the joy of my life. I guess sometimes you just need to shit in their bed so they know what it feels like.
I was wondering this the entire time. Like if they had knocked the shit out of him one good time when he was little if it would have served as a wake up call. I don't believe in hitting kids but everyone has a right to defend themselves and a live a life with dignity and sometimes that right has to be defended with violence.
@@agdoren Yes, it's a real moral dilema. I don't condone hitting kids either, I honestly felt guilty for YEARS afterwards, but I often wonder, if that didn't happen would he still be hitting me (and others) at 17 years and 6'3"...
@@JVDV11 We'll never know but I think with your child it probably shocked and scared him but it also gave him a point of empathy and maybe if your child was like the child in the story it created a window of time for you to instruct him out of that behavior.
If you have a child who behaved like this sooner or later someone is going to knock them down and I think it's better it comes from someone who loves them and wants the best for them ultimately than someone in the outside world that doesn't care about your child. You may very well have saved his life and perhaps saved him from a lot of heart ache.

The son is stabbing art Twice. Seems it's pattern for some variant of psychopath-born
I can’t imagine the inner turmoil you would feel as a parent. The guilt, resentment, love, and hate all at once toward your child.

Nuh-uh. Even back then there was counseling and help for these things. The fact the parents never sought that help the moment the first threat was made was 100% on them.
The most dangerous place in the world is in between a mother and her child. When he chose to harm the baby, Mom no longer viewed him as "her son", he became "my daughter's attacker" which gave her the adrenaline to blast him. He needed an MRI as he may have actually been brain damaged. This can happen during child birth.
Has no one considered that Art's story is not accurate and he is manipulating the reader? (or entirely fabricated?). He paints his son as some evil psychopath while he describes himself and his wife as perfect parents who were poor victimis. Smells like BS. Young people do not behave this way unless there is a problem with their brain and/or there is an environmental stressor such as trauma from childhood abuse. It is likely they/someone abused their son or at the very least they parented him very poorly (no consequences, even after stabbing the dad? WTF). And why the F would they allow such an allegedly violent teen around their newborn baby? That's negligence in itself. Unless you’re suggesting the best option was sending him to jail? Even if they send him to a foster home that would’ve put others in danger just like when he attacked other students in school. Therapists could’ve misdiagnosed, or failed to diagnose a serious mental disorder. Even sending him to a mental facility in the late 80’s was nearly impossible after Reagan’s campaign focused on closing many of those facilities, and kicked the mentally ill patients out to the streets. I know a nice couple who had a boy like this and a "normal" daughter. They went through hell. Our oldest has BPD and we went through hell too, but he was never dangerous to us. Anyway the worse is way over, now he is kind., and our daughter is sweet as ever. Back to the other couple last I heard the son broke into a heavy equipment dealership and did many hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage. That is why it bothers me when parents are always blamed. Sometimes it is just a child is incredibly deranged.
Years of bottled up anger and resentment. I’m with the parents on this one. I couldn’t imagine what they went through.

I can understand the near death beating, but to then not report it may be negligent, etc
@Martin Bryant wouldn’t that be amazing.
@bgot throw Back in those days, mental facilities weren't the best so putting people in there was often more cruel than keeping them at home.
I'm not. Have you tried referring this story to a social care worker? They will tell you something very different.
1. The baby is crying all the time. 2. The baby grows up and presents with symptoms of brain damage that inhibits behavioural self control. 3. Violently shaking a baby to stop it from crying often causes this type of damage. 4. The parents already know the child is a risk to other children and yet do not take sufficient precautions to keep their new child away. 5. The mother turns out to be unusually violent. 6. They do not call the police or the authorities.
I can add more details but although on face value this story makes the parents sound like the victims, there are a number of very glaring red flags. Shaken Baby Syndrome is very serious and they very likely did this to themselves.
@@burnedfish think about what would've happened if they called the police. Like just sit on this one for a sec. Take your time. 🤦🏻♀️
Unfortunate that the parents were not counseled to have their son placed in a facility for behaviorally and emotionally disturbed children. My heart goes out to them for suffering through that for so many years. Fortunate that she could defend herself. Bless them for trying.
Sounds to me like an autistic spectrum disorder. Especially the start of life where the baby was so fussy. The authorities should have been involved early on. This child needed specialist medical intervention from birth.
The story is probably not true
You have to remember this kid was born 50 years ago. There was a much different mind set in mental illness and how to deal with severely troubled people. They were still using shock therapy and doing labotomies.
Kids with down syndrome were institutionalized.

I have a child like this. Not this extreme but about 70% he has been institutionalized 6x since the age of 3yrs old he was my 4th child when he was 16 I sat down and told him our family was no longer going to live like this no more locked doors no more police no more hospitals etc he needed to leave or change he stayed in his room for 9months only came out to use the bathroom I took food to him and I collected dishes and dirty laundry and needed things etc... after 9 months he started coming out he was still unemotional and withdrawn but as time went on and when he was about 18 he was different he got his GED his driver's license and a work from home telemarketing job which he moved up and now is 24 traveling around the US as a team lead advisor to companies that need their buildings remodeled into a more efficient space like petsmart, target Lowes etc. He has aspergers and is basically a genius. He is a thriving successful wonderful adult and I love him with my entire heart. Yes I did have another child after him 7yrs after an oopsie baby but he was never violent to his siblings just me and my husband. The point of me saying all of this is there just isn't a facility you can permanently drop your kid off at now there is safe haven for infants but not back in the day.
To be fair, the mother wasn't exactly "defending herself", more like just using her talents to unleash all her anger on the kid

Anyone especially a child who inflicts suffering on innocent animals is definitely badly damaged mentally
Not necessarily. It depends on how far they take it, the reasons they do it, the age, etc. Most kids that did this get over it, as they did it in an age where they were too young to understand
From personal experience, when I was 16-18, my parents had a dog. I really adored it, but too much. When parents weren’t home I would sometimes play with him, too much. Like throw him in the air and then catch him. Or just force him to sit with me, etc. a few times when I didn’t like his angry behavior I would throw him on the couch or something to try to get him to stop barking/gritting teeth, etc. Nothing that would cause him physical harm, but certainly something that was a bit too cruel. Now, today, I obtained a rescue cat and he went from being extremely timid to my best pal and a happy animal. I don’t know why I treated that dog that way as I had adored him…
I would imagine some kids, especially at a much younger age than 16, might also mistreat animals but not out of anger or a need to cause pain, but out of something else that I cannot put my thoughts as to why

Zero guilt...? You are not really aware of how black & white real life is NOT, when it comes to pain, suffering, guilt, loss, good vs evil etc. how could one not feel guilt for nearly murdering their own child? What they did is irrelevant, she may always feel she did what was RIGHT, but that doesn’t mean it was a DESIRED choice... anyone would feel guilt as a mother or father... the guilt of wondering if YOU did something wrong? Did you cause this? He grew inside of you, so could your body & system that grew him be responsible for wiring him how he is wired??? Was his mental illness due to something in MY DNA??? Did I curse my own child? So on and so on...then you’d always wonder if you could’ve called 911, gotten him mental help years earlier, punched him ONE TIME LESS ... could I have stopped him by telling him I love him?? Did I fight evil with my own evil?? Etccc etccccc etcccccc...
You could go out tomorrow, & on purpose or accident run over & kill a man who long ago killed someone you love... part of you may feel it’s deserved, karma?? But I guarantee you that you WOULD struggle with guilt & pain as well. He was still a life, a human with a mind, soul, thoughts, dreams, a family, a mother who held him as a baby & loved him, maybe he’s someone’s father ...maybe he’s a single father...? Maybe he has a tragic past that lead him down his dark path in life... etc etc. these things WOULD go through your mind on those dark, cold, quiet, lonely nights... & you’ll wonder... you’ll feel sadness, pain. Even if you believe you shouldn’t:
Watch ANY interview with ANY soldier from ANY nations, from ANY war... they those whose lives they ended in it are going to b carried with them as long as they live, they see the faces of men they went to war against, maybe they hated eachother even...but ending a human life is maybe the LEAST black & white thing a human mind can experience. Sure, you’ll always run into some guy fucked in the head who regrets zero, & maybe even enjoyed the violence of it, & is proud of not his service, but that he ended another’s life. But overall... why is it any soldier from any war will sit down & tell you basically the same pain of war?? As well as a police officer who has to shoot some junkie who was beating his kids and wife... he has pain over that as well...
I fully get that your point was simply that she did the right thing... but to just see it as a hero in a movie wiping out bad guys... that’s just not reality... hope this maybe gave you or anyone a bit to think about when it comes to people going to the ultimate extreme for what we believe is a justified act for the “greater good.”

I’ve lived this. I had/have a step brother. For most this is a story. For me it means I’m not alone. Only like this if you can relate. We are not alone.
My second child cried like that all the time. After 11 months of this it was suddenly quiet. We knew something was wrong. We rushed her to the hospital and her appendix had burst. So it actually saved her life. She is 30 now and has always been a great kid.
My brother was completely silent. My mother took him to several doctors because she knew something was wrong. General diagnoses was he was mentally disabled & she should put him in a home. An infant, in a home for the mentally disabled. This was the late ‘60’s but dang! Anyway, she said no & took care of him the best she could. When he was 2 a new pediatrician found he had double hernias. Of course he didn’t move or cry! After surgery to correct the hernias he quickly caught up & developed normally.
@@bethmahadocon1887 how horrible! Good thing momma was smarter!
@@bethmahadocon1887 makes you wonder how often that happened to children capable of normal function. And since they were placed in an environment like homes, they assimilated to that environment and did not develop normally. Good on your mama for following her instincts!
As Dr. Mike says. Always get a second opinion.
@@bethmahadocon1887 I was also a baby who was dead silent, they took me to get my hearing checked 2x and tried everything, turns out I was just autistic
I've never heard a story that's made me believe a person could be evil from birth, but this has convinced me to be honest...
Ted Bundy
He sounded like he had mental issues where help wasnt available for him in those times. Sad story all round for both parents and their son.
@@adammike5421 yes I agree, he was just a born Psychopath and Psychopath just have this mental sickness which takes the abillity to really feel emotions if you know what I mean
@@Angeltrap_cosplay yep i hear that, mental illness is very complex but that kid was suffering even though he appeared to be evil which i dont believe he was as he couldnt help it.
There was a secret scientific study which concludes that our genetic makeup and not the environment or other outside factor in our lives that decides what we become as a person.
(See Mr. Ballen's story about the triplets that was deliberately separated at birth to prove this hypothesis)
I knew a family just like that one. Really stuck between a rock and a hard place. Bless all parents!
The only story I've heard that I wholeheartedly agree with child abuse.
Well, child abuse wasn't the way to go, but more love wasn't going to be a cure for the evil in that bad seed.
Never found myself so conflicted at giving a like
@@Lazarou101 Yeah, I couldn't give that one a like, but I did relate to the sentiment. That boy was hell in human form.
He wasn't a child when it happened.
@@671homey it sounds like it happened for 18 years to me. Perfect example of sparing the Whip and spoiling the child. Who knows what that kid could have been with some discipline.
Something about the phrase "they never laid a hand on their son, even when he stabbed dad, TWICE." Explained a lot
Woulda beat the shit outta my kid
Listen! I am NOT exactly a beating or spanking parent BUT I can’t help but think of she had given him some hands on action a little earlier in life then it may not have resulted in that outcome. Of course it’s always in hind sight but you just gonna let him essentially walk away with stabbing his dad twice?!?! Nope! You gonna get these hands baby!
@@ktnixon81 no, it wouldn't. listen to the story. hes a born sociopath. it wouldn't have changed his behavior, only made it worse.
This story is phony. No 70’s 80’s father didn’t hit their kid.
He was a literal Devil child.
"they put locks on their doors and windows"
Fuck that they needed to put one in a sock
LMAO hell yes. Lock in a sock party and he doesn’t ever fuck around again lol
LOL!!
Aperently not with a mother like his! She was better than a lock in a sock!
@@paulesterline5714 Yeah, after 16 years. Seriously, these two assholes likely left the world a serial killer by letting this crap go on. If the kid was this screwed up, he should have been sent to a nuthouse, not a 'special school'.
Fucking facts said the same thing as he said that
i saw this story on tiktok one time, and now i think about all the time, constantly wondering what happened to the son. no story has affected me or fascinated me as much as this one.
He’s a car salesman now
@@mtmyles21 Seriously?
@@mtmyles21 wait how do you know? where can I find the story of what happened to the son?
They probably killed him, disposed the body and made it appear as though he left in his own.
He became president in 2016
Poor baby :( I knew he was going to try to hurt her
Yeah I could see it coming. That was my first thought, not that the second baby would be worse lol.
It was a little predictable, but man, this story really ended on a high note. Good riddance to rubbish, as the saying goes.

Nature strikes when you mess with a mother’s baby. Mama bear comes out.
It made me happy hearing how fast she reacted to the boy stabbing the baby im a new mom and i would have killed him first chance idc ill face jail time over my seed
dont mess with mama bear..
True, but I'm not buying it. Art beat the boy and the wife bandaged up the baby.
So true XD
