Regarding your stolen bike parts, Don't forget, that lovely arched bridge was rebuilt from scratch in about 2000. It took two years and was a huge mess for that historic little town. Secondly, there was a massive 500 year flood on that river in 1996. There was so much water that the Falls were almost buried. The big city downstream sandbagged the tops of their 30 foot seawalls. The flow was incredible. We love your stories. Thank you!

I used to work for one of the credit reporting agencies and one of our customers was Harley Davidson's corporate office. They told us some wild stories of the lengths people went through to hide Harley's that were stolen, going to be repossessed due to non-payment, etc. It was insane. One was taken completely apart and all the pieces were hidden in a bathroom wall behind the shower kit. Another one was taken completely apart and buried in cement blocks and buried under a cement patio/slab. That's just a few of many stories. I don't get it...they can use them if they're in pieces in a bathroom wall or in cement blocks under a cement patio/slab so why bother going to that extent to hide them. Idiots thinking they are smart and could put the bikes back together at some point. Fools. People are weird. lol

Point is if it’s just a shower insert would have been easy to get to the parts and build another with some of them but I’m more inclined to believe it was insurance fraud that way they are paid for then parted out yet if your customer knew about them evidently they got caught which to me is absolutely hilarious

Not every story or every lead that we get is going to turn out to be something real. We find the "real" ones by going out and looking. And that is part of the "Adventure". And part of the *FUN* of all of this!! I would not consider a single minute of this to be wasted time. I hope that we actually get the opportunity to come back and get this one!

You guys should check the Detroit River located between Canada and the USA. The Rum Running Era there are 100s of cars, motorcycle, 1000s of bottles and barrels of booze, many many Bodies. They tried to sneak the booze by running across the ice with whatever they could. We have quite a few missing persons in Canada believe to have gone in the river, I know the USA has similar cases. The current is really really rough and there is an undertow you can't swim the river safely. The visual is pretty much nothing.
You would also see the Windsor Detroit tunnel and the Windsor Detroit bridge looming over head. There is actually a few guys missing from bridge Suicides and accidents. It's a crazy lil river. The Canadian American history would be amazing, you guys could spend a month and still not get through everything ☺️

Yeah as soon as I saw that headliner shred and he described the door handle on it, I knew right away it was a beetle. Man I hope you get that beetle up! Just tell them you went swimming and found it, lol. That beetle is light enough to be able to pull out with the Jeep truck probably, it only weighs 1600 pounds. Beetles that have those style door handles he was describing range from 1968-1979.

When I was young I went with my big brother to a bayou behind our apartments, we noticed lots of bubbles and we started throwing rocks to where ever the bubbles were coming up from and knew they were turtles. Little turtles came up by the dozens and then huge bubbles started coming up from one end. We stared in awe as to what it was and I kid you not, a turtle the size of the bayou came up to take a breath and descended back down with a bunch of small turtles on its back. My big brother and I still mention it every now and then to make sure we weren’t dreaming of what we saw.
There many kinds of species of turtles in that bayou. I plan on going back one day and hopefully find that turtle.

there was a man that lived near that collected alot of cars and junk when he passed away the city cleared out the property (don't worry people got to buy it all only scrap was scraped) but years later was I hiking along the water and through where his land was and I stumbled along about 30% of a 1950 oval window that had emerged from the water as it was a dry year dug it out and carried it about 2 kilometers to my truck and took it home to rebuild

Since you mentioned statute of limitations if you're really interested in a technical dive, my former neighbor used to dump motorcycle frames off of the bay bridge here in Cali after the bikes were chopped up. All sorts of bikes, but i'm sure there's more down there than just bikes if the currents ain't pulled them out yet

The next time you are in Oregon City check the area upstream from the Old Bridge. Below HWY 99E where it makes a sharp turn. The original railing stopped short of the curve. The new style of the rail is only about 20 years old if that.

There is supposed to be a train in the bottom of Blue Ridge GA Lake. I guess whenever they drained it to work on the TVA damn it was exposed. But again is why I'm mentioning on this post it is a Blue Ridge rumor that the tracks used to go through the area before it was man made into the lake it is today. This area was used for logging and the trees where all cut down back then. I guess the train was just left there!
