By the way: if there is interest I'd love to share a sample pack with sounds for the TR8S, created on the SYS8. My idea is to create a set of oscillators for leads/basses. Let me know your thoughts!

Are you thinking of a kit file?

I have a handful AIFF samples that can be loaded into the TR8S. After importing they would show up as tones.
They all have no filter and envelope, so sound similar to the built-in samples from the "SYNTH2" folder. Except they are more complex and hopefully more useful for basses, leads, arps, and stabs.

Love this performance. I really start to look at System-8! Looks like it can overdub sequences. May I ask howyou did it?

Indeed, you can live play along with the sequencer, with or without recording. I tend to do both in these jams. You can also record knob movements, which is cool to liven up your sequences. And the first/last step buttons are nice to reveal chord progressions or alternate riffs. My biggest wish is longer memory as 64 steps is sometimes too short for trance/house.

I love my sys 8. It’s light and bright and sounds Way more expensive than it is. At $1000 used, it can’t be beat for sheer wealth of sonic options. And if you think it sounds like a VST, You need a hearing test.
