Hi I have a question. I notice you haven't hooked up the S8 to the TR8S via midi so I can only assume your triggering out of the TR8S into the S8, Is that correct?
Indeed, the TR8S is the clock source. I do use midi though, from the TR to the Sys8. And the audio goed the other direction, from the Sys8 to the TR. This way, it behaves like a single instrument.
It's just a regular double stand for keyboards. The top parts are close to each other and as vertical as possible. That neatly fits the tr8s. I love this setup as everything is within reach while standing or sitting on a high stool. And I only need a midi and L+R audio cables to hook everything up. No mixers, midi boxes or other extras.
it is registered "Roland System8 and TR8S" but in reality it is rather TR8S and Roland System8 because many many tr8s and very very few system 8s.hope that Ludwig can't hear anything from where he is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How did you get the TR-8s to stand up vertical on the System 8?

Oh and I always use the sidechain and compressor on the tr8s to glue everything together. Love this combo!

The lead and pad are coming from the SYS8, the drums, the bass and the arp are coming from the TR8S. So it's a mix!
