I have the drt 1.1 and they're sturdy bikes. I ride the crap out of it everywhere because it's my main source of transportation. I crashed like 3x and the bike is still intact😅
I got this bike 10 months ago at a sale price of $1200, and I thought it was great value then. At $1,000 it was a steal (all sold out now). It’s been a fantastic introduction to gravel biking for me. I now have a better understanding of what I need: bigger tires (46mm) for super bump stuff. For me, I’d also like a front suspension for super waterboarded forest roads.
I bought one, excellent for the price, I would have preferred rim brakes, disc brakes on a bike you use for rail trails is unnecessary and harder to maintain. Not sure if shifting is slower, I have an Ultegra road bike and the shifting is the same.
Picked mine up in april, have 100 miles on it so far and it rides great. Its no longer on the website.

Just bought mine 2 weeks ago and picked up 2 days ago. This bike is discontinued! They have the 2.3 out now.
The replacement for this will also be a 2.2. The 2.3 is a higher class bike, and one that I might personally prefer with better brakes, dropper seat post integrated, but also $500 more during the current sale. We'll know in a few more hours if the 2.3 will be discounted further.
