I'd rather see Irish naval vessels doing the job allocated and spend their operations time protecting Ireland's territorial waters. This unnecessary "visit" is a complete waste of taxpayers money and resources.

Is there an Irish naval vessel named "Spike Milligan" yet?
    There should be.

Even better would be “Dave Allen” but that would mean breaking off a bit of one of the masts…

I bet the crew of the Le George Bernard Shaw were ready for a pint after making up in the dock.
The Dunkirk Little Ship did a Return to the West India Dock, I think it was 2011.
Great to see the variety of craft using the Thames, I did visit the old fire boat Massey Shaw that's also a Dunkirker, on a Return to Chatham.
Thanks for posting and your time making the videos.

Wonderful to see those LFB boats bombing around in their own neck of the woods. We caught one of those being tested up here (Tanner).
Lovely to see an Irish Naval ship too!

Thanks for watching! Tanner was named after the fire fighter Gillian Tanner who won the George Medal for bravery during the Second World War. I haven't seen her yet though.

Yes - it will ony be a one off. Someone nearby started playing loud music as soon as I started filming and then stopped when I finished filming so the original audio was completely unusable. I think they were being awkward. Luckily this does not happen very often so hopefully everything will be back to normal for the next video!
