That Ned head is basically just a shakey head. The small hook and buoyant bait is the whole point of the Ned rig. The action is all in the fall not how it stands up on the bottom. I’ll stick with Z Man for my Ned gear. However, I will own every color of the 1.5 hard knock and the J100.
Do you realize what it takes to design a realistic and effective lure from start to finish and to mass produce it and make it affordable.. a whole lot of technology.

You don't need a stronger split ring for any bass or striper out there. The hooks I agree with you on but I've caught plenty of big bass on strike king hard baits and the split rings are solid.
