incarcerating criminals is a way for society to get a break from crime. put the criminal away so we dont have deal with him for awhile- sure we will feed his ass. then society will deal with him again when the idiot is released out in public. we get a break again when he goes back in. a permanent break for society when they are killed before prison-- just useless POS.

Ah yes... mass incarceration of blacks. Gotta love Democrats- they know how to treat blacks. And they get 95% of their votes too. So how does that arrangement work exactly? I give you my vote and thank me by putting me in jail? Nice!
if u lock them all up...be zero crimes.

Pres. Johnson...huh? arent blacks raving about democrats about civil rights act of 64? yet Johnson was putting blacks behind bars more that any president in history next to Clinton. keep voting Democrat- that is the way.
stop with the excuses already. the system is not that complicated. dont do the crimes and you wont find yourself in jail. learn to read and write. finish high school. if you drive a mercedes and you live in the hood, there is a crime being commitrd. LOL

These people don’t know anything about justice. They sentencing the innocent and letting the wicked walk free. Our people are incarcerated in jurisdictions that we are not suppose to be in. We was a separated people and this why. Abortion and incarceration while letting immigrants on the soil. How is it a pale man get no time for murder and our people get life for something the pale man brought here? Private prison concentration camps is a business for these devils.

no not crack...welfare that caused it!
end welfare and why don't u put the money going to welfare
INSTEAD to kids going to college who can not afford to get a better degree
from colleges in america. LOVE TO SEE SOMEONE MAKE THAT ARGUMENT
and see democratics/rebublicans turned the table on it

    end welfare
abortion is legal. 90 percent of americans either support pro-choice or their religion(catholic/christian)
can have an abortion, forgiven by a priest to have one performed.

Did you not hear the part where white and black people are using drugs at the same rate, but black people are punished for it at a higher rate? There is racial disparity in our criminal justice system.

please do further research. it isnt enough to just "use common sense", as mass incarceration is not the fault of those incarcerated, but the system itself
