XIAOMI should find a solution with you. You are a few of TH-camrs reviewing fair and square their products and of course all we know how much Americans love Apple and give them free pass and throwing shade on anything outside of US. I bought Poco F3, Lenovo Tab and Samsung Note after your reviews. I don't agree all the times but you are consistent and methodical. A family guy and not an overzealous kid wanting to make quick money leaking the balls of big companies.

Thanks for the comment. I don't know it happened before they tried to "send me a message" by pulling review units delaying them and messing about with me. It happened again and I'm not playing their games with them trying to manipulate my reviews. This doesn't mean I cannot buy Xiaomi tech that interests me like this Pad 6 Pro and 13 Ultra which is coming maybe next week the review. 99% sure I will buy the Xiaomi 14 series and review it (Chinese ROM) and also the Mix Fold 3 when out if it's interesting.

Tablet looks good, I like the 11" size and the 8+ gen1 is a great choice from Xiaomi. Bezels are fine, we still need something to grab into. Still disappointed in the IPS screen, hopefully if the Galaxy Tab S9 comes back with an AMOLED the Chinese manufacturers will follow suit.

Wow this surprised me, was expecting the rom performance to be much worse. It seems this really will be the best reasonably priced gaming pad out there given the fact that unless you are willing to pay crazy Samsung prices there is nothing else with a Snapdragon Gen 1 available. Would love to see how this compares to the Oneplus pad / Oppo Pad 2 / Vivo pad 2. Will you be reviewing any of those? I love the aspect ratio and look of those new BBK pads but they won't be able to compete on performance with Dimensity 9000. I think the vivo is also the only one with video out over USB 3.2 as well. Nice review. Thanks. Interesting product.
Regarding HDR support in Netflix: I had the same issue with my Poco F3 I think.
In my case, I went to the apps menu in the settings, flushed the cache and deleted the storage, maybe also restarted the phone (can't recall) and then opened Netflix again.
Obviously your user profile and login info will be reset to default, so you'll have to log in again, but when you do, you should have HDR if it's the same issue I had.

Hopefully this will change as I've been enjoying Netflix on it some much due to the size and weight. (Coming from my huge S8 Ultra)

  • @K1RA95
    @K1RA95 ปีที่แล้ว +3

As the owner of the Xiaomi Pad 5, I think, that there is absolutely no reason to buy the Xiaomi Pad 6/Pro. In my opinion, the only obvious difference is the more powerful processor.
SD 860 is still great. If you do not play heavy games, then this processor is enough for all tasks, including browsing, reading, watching videos, etc.
The rest of the changes are minor. I don't need a USB 3.2 with a VideoOut.
However, I would buy this tablet if it had an AMOLED screen. But for now I'll stay on the Xiaomi Pad 5.
Although I will probably buy a Galaxy Tab S9 (S9+) as soon as it will be available. I want to own a tablet with an AMOLED screen again.
And, yes. 3:20 - it's the place to charge the stylus.

Would have liked a cardslot on that one - at least transfer speeds will be good - other than that on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (Exynos model) which has a cardslot, though. Fortunately, prices for higher configs are not over the top, so the Pro with 256 GB flash (my model) does not cost you an arm and a leg. Will be interested in seeing battery runtime at 90 Hz which would be enough for me. For around 500 bucks not a shabby tablet with all its features. It's insane how much other manufacturers charge for higher end hardware!
Xiaomi's update policy for that model hopefully will not be too bad. Would have been great if it came with the pen. Maybe I can get one later at a cheap price. ;-)

Your content has always been helpful in terms of understanding the specs of a device especially the ones that aren't released in US market. I'm interested in getting the Xiami pad 6 pro but I'm a little bit concerned since there is not a global ROM.
How's your experience using the Chinese ROM outside of China?
    Thank you!

I'm not sure OnePlus told me no review units. If I buy one the deliver is in June I saw so by then the interest is gone and no views. Unless I import it from china not sure.

@@Techtablets oh ok, that's a bummer. I would make an interesting video for sure, they are pretty similar in a lot of things but each has its own pros. And also, testing their native pens, for me it's a must as it's my most used input method 😅 but I get it that business wise, doesn't make a lot of sense

The cut on the top that you said was for sim card, its for the wirlees pencil charching, the pencil rest on the top on the tablet and the cut on the metal allows the charge

Need a tablet recommendation for pdf book viewing.
From a student with 2-3 of pdfs needed to be loaded side by side 🤧

Its abt screen size and aspect ratio
      Oneplus pad 11.6 in (7:5)
      Xiaomi pad 6s pro 12.4 in (3:2)
      Ipad 11in , pro 12.9 in (4:3)
Samsung tab plus 12.4 in or ultra 14.6 in (16:10)
If u got money just go ipad regular or pro for snappier isntant pdf loading (even heavy size pdfs are loaded instant, no waiting to load pdf pages)

Hmmm, I don't really see why anyone would go for these when the Mi Pad 5 itself is already available with half its original price for some decent used units, unless they need the video out...

Video out and much better performance (Mostly gamers) But yes the Pad 5 is still great and cheaper.

We need your honest reviews on iPhones and Samsungs too. You need to get deep down on their products.

Hey @TechTablets, any chance you'll be reviewing the Vivo Pad 2 anytime soon? I'm interested, but at the moment there's not a lot info about it out there
