- This is a very rare and yet iconic British drum set. It was Carlton's idea of a revolutionary new concept for the drum kit in the late 1940's which combined a bass drum, snare drum, tom tom and pedal tympani plus the usual cymbals woodblock and cowbells of the day but no hi-hat as you will see why. Needless to say it didn't quite catch on which is why these kits are so rare.
Anyway, find out all about it in this video and enjoy a little bit of Samba music from a 1950's recording of Edmundo Ross as his Orchestra accompanied by Sticky on this 'magical monster', ha!
Enjoy and don't forget to subscribe.
Bro I love sticky wicket
I've always loved that song. The kit produces a wonderful and very unique sound. Sticky, you are the man! Thanks for bringing us the absolute best!
That man loves playing a timpani and I’m here for it
Very interesting. Beautiful drum wrap design. Thank you chaps.
Just discovered your channel. Fascinating stuff! I've subscribed.
😦Flea ft Ed sheeran 🤣
Yes very odd indeed but cool
What happened to the Next Level Chops channel?
That's wild! I've done pitch changing with my drums by inserting a length of fuel line in the vent hole of my floor tom and blowing or drawing air. It's a cool experiment anyone can do with less than 10 bucks of hose from the hardware or auto parts store.
I’m not a drummer, but MAN do I want a kit like this now! It’s beautiful and it sounds great👍🏼
