You should check out Pasir Panjang Food Centre which is beside the MRT. Lots of BBQ seafood stalls there selling BBQ stingray. Could be pretty spicy though. Should try BBQ chicken wings and satay too... Goes well with beer.

Yes, work relocation for my husband. Hoping to obtain employment authorization for myself like we've done in other countries but will depend on SG policies. First time in SG! Moving with our 18 month old.
Rented 3.8k? Nice. That work out $46k a year. You can easily buy a condo worth $1.2M as well after taking bank loan. Monthly payment will be around 3.8k as well.
Buying a condo isn't worth the inconvenience, there's probably foreigner levies involved and all sorts of guidelines. Plus who knows how long they will/can stay (COVID situation makes everything volatile) and selling off a condo in a hurry could result in a loss and more inconveniences. Renting for the moment, even at a higher amount in the end, makes more sense.
