The "Zulus" name had nothing to do with them being "multicultural" it was more to do with the film "Zulu" which was released in 1964, Blues fans used the name in the late 1960's and early 1970's because when they charged at opposing fans they used the Zulu war cry copied from the film. This reputation then attracted black guys into the mostly white gang, who had previously used a theme from another 1960's film called the "Vikings", when the Blues mob advanced towards the opposition supporters they would intone the Vikings theme tune that was played when the long boats were returning home. The Vikings tune was later dropped when it was realised that the Zulus war cry was more terrifying to away fans.

Brums reputation didn't start till the mid 80s unlike other clubs like Man U, Chelsea and Leeds , Man U from the 60s were the first and dominatied the 70s with Chelsea & Leeds early 80s was dominated by Chelsea & Leeds whether that's palatable to others or not, yeh Millwall were also close in the 70s & 80s but for numbers its Chelsea & Leeds who were carrying on more than any other clubs at its peak.
