If they're told it's blue, they'll go along. If they assume it's pink and they're corrected, they take notice. The blind wouldn't argue that the dress is, in fact, pink. That would be quite impertinent. Neither would they offer excessive apologies or feel offended after they're corrected. They would simply go along with it, as the color of the dress doesn't matter that much, and me wearing it isn't a threat that the blind person's children would be forced to wear it.

The main point is that the Constitution says "we the people" meaning legal American citizens regardless of skin color or gender. It doesn't need to list every ethnicity in the world (it's already applied via common sense). The main word here is "citizen."
