It is clear to anyone thst was there, Wolves did them in Birmingham. Till i heard this video, I have never heard one Brummy say they did Wolves that day. It is a complete invention. We have listened to excuses for years, about all their mob couldn’t get to the meet because of the demonstration, but we came to Birmingham and did them.
It’s true many Zulu mobs couldn’t get to Moseley Rd in Bslsall Heath B12, due to longbridge car plant march. Wolves did plan it well had the larger numbers. No one making up excuses. Yes they backed off the smaller blues mob few times from an eye witness, it was intense no one ran off down the Moseley road. Police broke it up and did escort the red faced wolves mob after. Just imagine if the numbers were equal the wolves mob would have had no chance. No disrespect to either mob who fought on Moseley Rd it was vicious. To be honest wolves were getting knocked to the ground and the wolves lad that was put in a coma was done by a white Zulu lad! Quite a bit of inaccuracies there in that video.
This was not Subway Army, this was years after them. Yam Yam Army lads here. Blues are undoubtedly top lads, my mate was there and he tells it fair and admits if Blues had equal numbers it may have been different. But....he feels Wolves definitely eventually had the upper hand as Blues were getting pushed back. It was like a warzone, the most violent fight he has seen. People have to appreciate this was top Zulus lads, and there was not 200 Wolves.... in fact just over 100 Wolves, and about 50-60 Blues as some also attacked the Wolves lads from behind. Wolves have regularly gone to Blues with numbers and done well, usually taking at least 200-300 lads some seasons. But make no mistake it is an evil place, and I would honestly say Blues are number one in the Midlands even though I would also say they haven't really established any superiority locally against Wolves, Albion or Villa over many years - its always felt even stevens with each. But many others, such as non-midlanders, would certainly say Blues are / were West Midlands number One so you have to respect that view. My opinion, and its just my opinion, over many years, is that Blues are Midlands top firm, but on any given day Wolves, Stoke, Forest, Villa, Leicester, Albion, Cov, Derby can all put up hell of a scrap. Just none are consistent, because police action inevitably affects their numbers and quality at different points. Those violent days are gladly long behind us but if you were a working class lad these things sadly happened back in the day
You've made some fair comments mostly, but there's a couple or so things i don't agree with, but as you've made some humble comments i'll leave it at that. The one thing that is FACT is, that day was the day of the Rover march and when Blues made our move from the city centre there were hardly any taxis, it was frustrating. The Blues lads who got there had their own motors and gave a lift to others, i'd say no more than 40, but i respect your opinion, it's a pity your lad with the arm couldn't be more humble. When we eventually got a taxi we got to the top end of Digbeth only to get a call to say it was all over, to say we was pissed off would be putting it mildly. You are correct, there was about 250/300 of us in town, but to say what would have happened would be to speculate. I was at yours in 98 when 50 of us walked thru your town centre from B'ham New Rd,. and attacked O'Neills, i'll say no more about that day as this vid ain't about that. Yes locally it's pretty even, Villa will always have their old loons from years ago turn out against us, plus the mad heads from estates like Kingstanding etc.. The one thing that set us apart, in my humble opinion, is that when we decide to go somewhere we'd go, and we'd do it consistently against some of the top firms. That is not just my words, but the words of an old Albion lad i used to know. Respect my friend.
Usual Zulu excuses... the taxi was late, the bus had a flat tyre! They knew we were on Moseley Road at half 10, and it took them until half 1 to show up! They didn't fancy it, and when they finally showed up, they were more than 50 handed as I was there, so just admit you got turned over on your own manor lads!
Subway Army ended in September 1982 when IE was murdered. No football violence after 1982 that involves WWFC fans has anything to do with the Subway Army, nothing whatsoever. 1986-1988 was mostly Bridge Boys, most after 1995 Yams Yams.
Absolutely clueless, complete load of bollocks!!! 1. Subway Army ended in 1982, no other Wolves firm since has anything to do with the Subway Army other than one or two Subway Apprentices who were in the Bridge Boys (1986-1988). 2. At their very peak in 1981/1982 there was no more than 45-50 members of the Subway Army-if that. Just because a group of football fight fight fans from another team dosent make it that teams top firm!!! Every football club in the world has fans from different parts of the area their club represents who arnt attached to any main firm or have their own firm not affiliated to the top firm. In the days of the Subway Army there were at least four different WWFC firms of which Subway were the top football firm at Wolves.
