ah the flankers, the jets so big the 72nd scale version is more akin to a 48th scale. And to think I am building one in 32nd scale, soon. The fuselage and nose together are about 70cm long. beautiful result very interesting and uncommon markings.

It was used as the Flanker "E" Prototype variant. I don't think that it was used as an actual-functional camouflage scheme as most SU-35's are in Midnight Blue or Air Superiority Blue & Grey schemes. But for the prototype at least one was made in these colours. Other splinter schemes can be seen in Neutral Grey/White/Midnight Blue also for the SU-35s variant

Good stuff! A question: When you sprayed the Mr Surfacer 1000, 1200 & 1500 using the Harder & Steenbeck 0.15mm, did you encounter any clogging of the airbrush needle? What ratio did you use to thin Mr Surfacer? Thank you in advance.
Thank you! I use a cheaper airbrush for spraying my primers. It's a sealy Air Products AB9321 with a 0.25mm needle. I thin at a ratio of 2:3 (Primer:Mr Color Levelling Thinner or Acetone or Cellulose Lacquer Thinner) and always come out smooth and no clogging at all. Can be slightly on the thin side for coverage but after two passes it will be nicely covered without loosing any details.

This is only the Flanker Prototype scheme so is not actually intended for combat use. The normal SU-35 schemes for active aircraft are Midnight blue/Turquoise or Air Superiority Blue/Neutral Grey & Light Blue

What are the straight tweezers do you use?
They are just AA pointed tipped tweezers that are non magnetic. I found mine in a DIY store
