Shona in Kenya: The journey from statelessness to citizenship?

  • A few weeks ago, we reported on the Shona people in Kenya who, for 50 years, have been unable to register their births because they are not regarded as Kenyan citizens. That's because their ancestors originally came from Zimbabwe, but now they aren't considered citizens of either country. They actually have no nationality - they are stateless. But following our report, it now it looks like that could change! Christine went to find out more.
