Richard E. Grant has been my favorite living actor for years (Franz Kafka's It's a Wonderful Life; How to Get Ahead in Advertising). I'm very happy to learn that he has a fabulous house that he loves, but my favorite moment in this video is the one where he opens a book and sniffs it. I still do that out of habit too, though the new ones don't have much of a smell. My 2nd favorite scene is the shot of that enormous, ancient tree in the back yard! Wow! (Judy Dench has one too.) This video warmed my heart. Thank you very much for posting it!

My Goodness! I've enjoyed Richard's work over the years from over here in America, and am envious of the amount of odd historical items he's found. That dining room/kitchen/solarium with skylight is fantastic! As is the outdoor space. I love the slightly creepy olde theater/circus vibe to many of his items. He seems like a charming man in real life, and I'm sorry to learn that he lost his wife. It's nice to see an actor who had a long marriage with someone special; the many mementos he shows us make his home special. Really enjoyed this one...wish it was longer. :)
My kind of home. My mother died beginning of this year and my father could not live with most that reminded him of her, we had to take it away. Good for Richard he can live with thoise things !
