Hey everyone! Thank you for taking the time to watch the video. If you have ideas or questions about a career in ramp feel free to leave a comment! If enough questions get asked I’ll post a video answering all of them!
I wouldn't change a thing. Show us what you want to. I worked ramp at three locations. First was Frankfurt Intl. Airport, Germany, Then, at Rhein-Main AFB, Germany, (contractor). Then at Wiesbaden Army Airfield. Total years as a ramp agent, 31. Loved it.
Hey man. I really like your content, my favorite video which really drew me in was the "A Day In the Life On The Ramp". I think the longer, raw, little to no edits of you just working is the best. It's really enjoyable when you explain things to the camera (like the tow bars). No matter what you do your content is amazing and really gives a out look to how essential your role is to aviation. Keep it up man, your doing amazing!
Hey thanks for stopping by! Honestly I prefer making the longer videos. Just makes editing so much easier haha My explanations in that video were kind of half assed to be honest. I made the video for family and never expected the video to blow up like it did. I’m not used to talking to a camera so I lose my train of thought pretty quick haha
Yea the wheeled luggage is definitely easier for the ground crew to load/unload and reduces the amount of wear and tear on the luggage since it doesn't have to be tossed around as much.
Very cool. Actually the long version videos like you did is the best. Little bit more to edit but man the perspective of the day to day and plane to plane routine is awesome and considering the amount of flying I do at times on trips for a storm chase or convention, it's really insightful. Granted you have to probably be mindful of company and the amount of filming you can or can't do on a given day but that's all in a days work I say. :D
Note to self: Duffel bag or duffel bag equivelent items should never be used for anything besides clothing/other extremely impact resistant items. I don't blame you, I don't see how else you could fill that plane fast enough if every duffel was carried back and forth, but ouch.
That’s the age old question isn’t it. Our station is a bit unique which makes that hard to answer. We are paid by Unifi however all our equipment is Delta, all the rules we follow are Delta, most of our uniforms are Delta, and our gate agents are Delta. The only thing Unifi does is pay us. Our airport is getting an upgrade and rumor has it we will all be transferred to Delta.
@@AircraftPitCrew Ah- you mean S4? S3 is standard leisure for delta mainline. Reason I'm curious is because I'm on the ACS/Cargo Safety team (corporate side) over at HQ in ATL.
@@ChlckenNuggetYou’re probably right. I don’t use the benefits so I couldn’t give you an accurate answer. I was told we are S3 but I could’ve been told wrong. I use our Alaska benefits since they’re less expensive.

Brings back memories. Did that job for two years with Delta Global Services (DGS) in Seattle.
BOI was DGS a few years ago, but that was before my time

Get wheeled luggage, easier on you guys. Got it

Keep up the good work. Looking forward to more videos!

I’ll try to keep a lookout.
I’m literally from there
do you work for delta or a contractor like unifi?

@@AircraftPitCrew Interesting.. What about non-revving? do you have S3 days?
We just have S3 benefits. Some people are grandfathered into the old benefits and have a higher seniority.

Is that Boise?😊
